Soo do we get a surprise round or not? or does that depend on wether we succeed in Hide and Move silently checks?
Anyway, i position myself 30 feet away from the fire, behind a bush.
PS: Fellow players, i can kill them both with Elemental Burst => Fire => 1d8 damage to both. That would make sure that they don't get actions to shout alarms or something.
We could take them with crossbow shots though, if we don't wanna burn spell slots.
I'm open to anything

Where they are now, the two kobolds by the fire have not seen you, so if you don't move anywhere and make an attack on them, you can get a surprise round action.

Ok, so each of us can (potentially) attack them with a crossbow/cast a spell/Partial Charge them.
I propose we each attack with a crossbow/Cantrip(if you have any useful ones) and have Animal Companions partial charge?

It would be a massive waste of an action: -1 to dex usually is not a great choice for ranged combat. I am making a front liner though i could take zen archery later on I suppose...

Uh, my dex is 12, their AC should be like 13, i have decent odds of hitting them.
I'd say four charachters plus one animal companion have good odds of hitting twice an AC of 13

Ops, sorry, i posted here too soon after posting in the IC thread, it gave me the "can't post twice in 60 seconds" thing, when i clicked again the rolls were like that.
So, Rolls!
Attack: (1d20+1)[13]
Damage: (1d10)[10]

Righto, Vran will charge in first, in case the kobold still lives Yun will follow in quick pursuit also charging. If charging is impossible then I will have to hope a 50ft move speed will do it. Dogs cant take tactical orders after all.
Vran's Rolls
To hit: (1d20+8)[24]
Bite Damage: (1d6+5)[7]
Free Trip if hit (as the ability of the same name on a wolf)
Strength Check: (1d20+5)[24]
Yun's Rolls
To hit: (1d20+8)[9]
Bite Damage: (1d6+5)[7]
Seems like we're using this as an OoC thread since we do not have one of our own... as a suggestion to our DM, have you ever considered block initiatives? They make combat much faster, how it works is that every PC's initiative is averaged then compared to the average of Enemy iniative and whosever is higher goes first but everyone goes at the SAME time, so people can post at their leisure instead of having to wait for someone else to post.

I am actually against it because it's detrimental to players who build their characters to go fast in initiative order.
However I will say this; If there are several PC's going before the enemy, you may post without having to wait on the other players. That way you're only waiting on me.

Your the boss but IMO a character losing out a tiny bit of their build (initiative does help by boosting the average) VS the game dying due to it lagging is not a hard decision to make. You could also make it so that the team with the highest iniative goes first so that player could be regarded as the person that saves the day in a hard encounter. Though to be honest I am quickly losing interest in this game because it is moving incredibly slow...

Zarey-Readied an action. Dmitry-Readied an action.
Amelia <--- We are here currently.
Tabitha & Dogs
Other Kobolds
As initiative is looking now, it's basically exactly how you described it block style. Whether you go before or after other players doesn't change that you have to wait on other players. I can't control the posting rate of other people. In the original post I asked that everyone be able to post once a day. That's the best I can do. If it's going too slow for you, then play by post is clearly not for you. But that doesn't change the fact that technically we are currently waiting on you.

Admittedly I have been distracted with RL the past few days, but the forum crash didn't help...
Looks like we're waiting on eiko... if nothing is done by Tuesday, when I get home, I will take over for tabitha until eiko comes back or a replacement is found.
