Yeah, can't disagree on that. While technically an AJ episode, Derpy and Pinkie really stole the show there. My daughter remebers that episode just for Pinkie's reaction to breaking a Pinkie Promise.

Maybe? AJ got a few lines of singing in the Winter Wrapup song, so there is precedent that it can be done. Maybe just not the opportunity has arrisen to make use of such talent?

However.
It is notable that each and every song in which Applejack has participated has also been sung by each of the rest of the mane six. (Rainbow, if not for her duet with Fluttershy in "May the Best Pet Win", would be in exactly the same circumstance.)
As for what I want? Give me an Applejack solo (or near-solo) song and something about the past and/or relatives of any pegasus (though if the pegasus in question is Pound Cake I'd want his present self to get emphasis, too), and I'll be happy. Throw in sea ponies or another Luna episode and the happy will have been doubled.

How strange that RD and AJ haven't had all that much singing happen when their VA is the lead singer on a band. I s'ppose singing in character is a bit more challenging, eh?
That's last is my theory for particularly AJ. We haven't heard her sing much at all, her few lines have been more spoken then sang.
Dash did have a whole duet though, presumably more a character/plot consideration there.

Siuis? You're pretty clued up on the multiplanar nature of Ponythread, suggest some continuity-shards please? Especially any relevant and/or historical lightside ones. The only real contender so far is Raz Fox and his harem-filled dreamscape (that I know little about).
Your own OC's come with any kind of implied location or universe/continuity of origin?

I suppose this could be accurate. After all, neither of them seems like the kind to randomly burst into song without Pinkie Pie being involved.

I dunno, Leatherhead had some pretty messed up trauma, and doesn't really play well. Like I said, he's a better fit to go with Fluttershy, and likewise Leonardo to Apple Jack.
I guess so the nickname "Big Mac" works better? Otherwise we'd have "Big Mc", which kinda sounds like Big Eem-Cee and that poor guy is about as musically talented as an apple.

Well, I'm the person to ask then. No, she does not. She doesn't even regulate weather, so much as study and predict it. Now with a side order of trying to study and predict the Ponithid. It's a good thing I keep a good, calm universe on hand to send people/ponies/whomever to, I can't imagine them running around my observation posts.
I must say, my Mii'Ari staff are quite fond of the ponies as well. There's a bit of mutual cross-research going on, and I've already gotten complaints on "lack of research material". *sigh*

I remember seeing these. I always wondered why Fluttershy looks like she's about to cry. Pinkie Pie as the mascot is just flawless. They're all sports related too. Except Twilight, but I can see her being some team organizer or something.
