Now imagine that you're at the White House. You're wearing a nice suit, and you're about to meet with the President. Unbeknownst to anyone but yourself, you're wearing your swimsuit under your suit. If you take off your suit, will people be shocked, embarrassed, and surprised? You bet they will. Partly it's the transition - people aren't supposed to get undressed in the public parts of the White House. And partly it's that while your swimsuit is perfectly good for the beach, it's not the appropriate way to dress for a meeting with the President.

I get that... but why are half of them naked at the Gala and the other half not? Even Applejack lampshades it when they're getting ready...

But everyone else is clothed. And it's the act of getting undressed that's the problem.
I'm stealing this example, but making it different. If you went to the beach clothed, then in the middle of everyone started undressing right there into your swim suit, people would stare. I know I would stare if said situation were to happen.

I just plain never saw this, or the previous examples, that way. I don't see anything wrong with changing, it's just accepted levels of nakedness that need to be watched, depending on where you are. But that's just me, and I accept that I might just be missing the point.

It's the first one but with a pic of a pony instead. My disguise was flawless.

But srsly, I'm way too much of a chicken to watch mlp. I'd never live it down if I were associated with it and all the pep talk in the world isn't going to help. I mean I've already got way more than that on my list of mental issues at the moment.
So... I just marathoned Turnabout Storm, the MLP:FiM / Phoenix Wright crossover. It's freakin' awesome. The voice acting is actually half decent too. Trixie is the prosecutor. You should definitely check it out! The finale is upcoming but it'll come eventually.
Also: I discovered I misread the deadline for the contest that I was considering entering. It's actually on NOVEMBER 10th, so I have a month to finish. Pssh. I can do that! Cheer me on?

I can't believe people are getting upset about this (not here) Guess what? The royal sisters' background was planned all along, and if it ruins your fanfics, then so be it. It's selfish. And I don't see anything here that shows "catering to us" other than that fact. Unless you're talking about Discord, in which case we already kind of knew when de Lancie let it slip that he did more voice work for the show. Personally, I don't like the idea of bringing him back, but I guess it depends on how they do it. Feels like a "we're running out of ideas" situation, when I know they're not.

Turns out, they're completely normal ponies. You know how Granny Smith founded Ponyville approximately 300 years ago? She's suffering from a rare disease that makes her half deaf and suffer rheumatism. Otherwise, she'd look just like a green version of Applejack.
Heck, Twilight Sparkle herself is 250.
