Valid point. I'm using Eastern (UTC-5), AKA the American Eastern Shoreline. For simple conversion, I'll be on about an hour and a half from writing this.

Sorry HP. Got caught in a "No quiting" match against a stall deck. I'm going to take a brief break with the site up if you want to contact me in the mean time.
I've made an account there as well now(name is the same as my forum name here), though I haven't built any decks for it yet

I've been building a few decks, in order to get back in the hang of making them, would anyone mind if I posted the deck lists I've made so far, so I can find out how well I did with them(one's a warrior deck, partly based on the main one I used to use, one is a "ninja" deck, as it seemed like it could be an interesting archetype, and the third was an attempt at a direct attack based water deck).

first, the list for the warrior deck, intended to focus on dealing damage through attacks by high attack score monsters(or weak ones boosted by equip cards), it also has a few cards which can be used to negate defenses(mainly savage colosseum, junk barrage, and sasuke samurai 1);
Spoiler
Monster cards:
Marauding Captain x3(can special summon a level 4 or lower warrior, and while it's out other warrior cards cannot be targeted)
Command Knight x2(cannot be targeted if there are other warrior cards, and increases the attack of all warriors by 400)
Field-Commander Rahz x2(can help get level 4 or lower warriors to your hand)
warrior Lady of the Wasteland x2(if destroyed, allows you to special summon another warrior)
Comrade Swordsman of Landstar x2(tuner, also boosts the attack of all warriors by 400)
Elemental Hero Wildheart x2(immune to trap cards)
Ghost Gardna x2(can redirect attacks to itself)
Grandmaster of the Six Samurai x1
The Six Samurai: Yaichi x1
The Six Samurai: Nisashi x1
The Six Samurai: Kamon x1
The Six Samurai: Zanji x1
Sasuke Samurai x1
Spell Cards:
Equip;
Fusion Sword Murasame Blade x3(+800 attack, cannot be destroyed with spell or trap cards)
Axe of Despair x3(+1000 attack)
Lightning Blade x2(+800 attack, reduces attack of all water monsters by 500)
Lucky Iron Axe x2(+500 attack, draw a card if it's destroyed)
Legendary Ebon Steed x2(+200 attack, can be destroyed in place of the equiped monster)
Junk Barrage x2(when the equipped monster destroys an opponents monster, it deal damage equal to half of the destroyed monster's attack)
Field;
Savage Colosseum x2(forces face up cards to attack or be destroyed)
Trap Cards:
Call of the Haunted x2
swift Samurai Storm x1
Total Cards: 40
Extra Deck:
Synchro;
Gravity Warrior x2
Lightning Warrior x2
Sacrred Warrior x2
Legendary Six Samurai: Shi En x1
XYZ;
Shadow of the Six Samurai: Shien x2
Photon Papilloperative x2
Heroic Champion: Kusanagi x2
Heroic Champion: Excalibur x1
Gagaga Gunman x1
Water Deck(meant to focus on direct attacks, it also only uses sea serpent monster cards)
Spell Cards:
Standard;
Level Limit Area B x3
Swords of Revealing Light x3
Equip;
Axe of Despair x3
Horn of the Unicorn x3
Black Pendant x3
Field;
A Legendary Ocean x2
Trap Cards:
Gravity Bind x3
Total Cards: 40
Extra Deck:
Synchro;
Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier x2
Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier x2
Sea Dragon Lord Gishilnodon x2
XYZ;
Bahamut Shark x3
Gagigo the Awakened x2
Number 32: Shark Drake x2
Number 17: Leviathon Dragon x2
I was mostly guessing which cards to put in the water one, so i didn't put the little notes like in the warrior one.

- Mage Power and United We Stand are the better equips outside some specific equips like Spellbook of Life.
- No Ben Kei?
- Blade Armor Ninja (Rank 4 XYZ) is awesome for Damage and Multi-kill.
- Might want to put the Legendary Six Samurai cards instead of the older cards. Kizan and the tuner (Not the best with these guys names) are the better cards. Heck, just make a Samurai Deck with Equips.
About the Water Deck
Spoiler
- Salvage (Spell) is amazing with Atlantians.
- Play some Discarder water monsters like Abyss Soldier and Mermail Abysspike to get off those nifty Atlanteans effects. Genex Undine works too.
If you are going for something specific, and my suggestions might not improve it, then never mind. Also, if you can only use specific stuff too... Well, then my suggestions might not be valid.
Your suggestions were very helpful(hadn't even known about united we stand and mage power until now), so far I've turned the warrior deck into an equip/six samurai deck(mostly using the newer ones you suggested, though I did include two of the old one that can get rid of defense posistion monsters[though i wasn't sure if he was better then sasuke samurai, as he still has face down ones flip face up])
edit: I've also been pondering trying out an exodia deck, any tips for good cards to help me stay alive long enough?(pot of greed, reckless greed, and upstart goblin are all good cards to have in one as well, correct?)

Well... if your looking for a good water deck, I would recommend looking at the Gishki. They're an archtype focused around ritual summoning. They have a lot of searching and recycling capabilities and can control your opponents field, graveyard and hand pretty effectively. They are one of the two archetypes I'm considering for my final Deck.
Other than that, you could make a decent Water Synchro deck using Super Ancient Deep Sea King Coelacanth.
That is just about the extent of my knowledge on water decks.

Mermails/Atlanteans are currently the best water themed deck. They revolve around the discarding of Atlanteans to fuel Mermail effects to gain massive +s out of every turn. Potentially one of the reasons why Brionic (The Ice Barrier Lvl 6 Synchro) was hit by the ban hammer, though he still deserved the hit for other reasons...
Another Water deck, that I use for fun, is a Nimble Frog deck. It revolves around Swap Frog and Nimble Angler with the use of a field card (Can't remember the name at the moment) that can upgrade the levels of water monsters you control by the number of water monsters you control. Essentially, it turns a field of Lvl 2 weaklings into Rank 4-7 Monstrosities!
Next is Sea Lancer. The deck revolves around the frog engine of using Swap Frog to fill up your graveyard and Ronin Toadin's ability to summon itself with the removal of another frog in the grave. These guys work together to make the monster Sea Lancer effect really useful, in that he can equip the banished frogs to himself and recycle them back to the grave while gain +s. It is a bit confusing to explain via writing and usually needs a demonstration, so try finding a YouTube video and see what ya think.
Lastly, Gishki. The former best was the Gishki Hieratic hybrid which was made infamous for ruining the opponents hand first turn, and ending with some big beaters. But due to the Lvl 6 Gustkrake getting hit, the new top Gishki is the Zeal Gigas Cannon deck. Running Trageodia and Zeal Gigas, the deck strives to get two Zeals to the field, use their effects to draw and potential clear the field, then attacking for 6400dmg, before XYZing into Gustav Max and using its effect to deal 2000 damage to the opponent for game. It is also mainly a fun deck, but if you like massive four-armed Fishmen with over 3000 Atk with a pretty nice eff, then the deck might interest you!
But those are my top 4 picks for best Water deck. Other duelist opinions may vary.
After messing around with making an exodia deck, I found what appears to manage to still have a chance at winning even if it doesn't get exodia out.
It uses a gladiator beast deck, including gladiator beast torax(draw one card when it returns to the deck), and gladiator beast's respite(shuffle two gladiator beasts from your hand back into your deck, and then draw 3 cards)

also, a feel a little silly for asking this, but, is there a tutorial for how the DN thign works?, I tried a duel, but was only able to summon one of my cards, and wasn't able to figure out anything after that.

Do you want to try a practice match?, While i did make an exodia deck, I also have a warrior deck, water deck, and a gladiator beast deck(at least if i switch out the exodia cards for the gladiator beast cards in my side deck), though th warrior deck would probably be easiest for me to play until i get used to using DN

Forum's back .
so, how did I do?, I after seeing how the duel went I felt my deck set up for it was a bit swingy(either being to weak to have any chanc, or ending up with a monster powered up to 6000 attack, though on vulnerable to anything that removes sepll cards), and have been pondering trying out a few more deck types(including a worm deck, as it looked like an interesting deck type)
