Okay everyone, congratulations for making it.

I would like everyone to post a copy of their sheet here, accompanied by a wishlist and claim a colour. If you want, you may work out how you all know eachother (if you all know eachother to begin with). You would have all met at graduation, but it is up to you guys if you knew eachother before that.

The islands

All four islands have been renamed after this incident, to, Oak Island, Academy Island, Port Island, and Wild Island.

Oak Island is where the famous Proffessor Oak retired to, after he had given the majority of his pokemon out, while a good test on pokemon and human relations, he decided that bonds are better forged depending on the circumstances they meet. The island is full of wild pokemon, most enjoy what the island has to offer at their leisure, it isn't officially a pokemon reserve, but most people avoid catching pokemon there because it is Oak's home.

Academy Island is where you all start off, the entire island has become an academy where new pokemon trainers can grow with eachother. There are facilities and Study Courses for all kinds of trainer, whether they be breeder, researcher, psychic, or an ace trainer, titles all given upon graduation day.

Port Island is the closest Island to the Kanto mainland, and the only one where larger ships can dock, Port Island is also a resort, where people relax in more ways than sitting in a hotel room. Because of this Port Island is usually the final test for trainers before they leave to go to Kanto, or another region after graduating the academy.

Wild Island has only recently been mapped, though not as broad as Oak island when it comes to pokemon habitats, it is known to have many different kinds of pokemon depending on the season.

well, I wrote Donavon Stone as a native of Port Island.For color, I'll call dibs on Blue.

If someone else started as an island native, odds are good we knew each other growing up. If not, then I'm not likely to have met anyone before the academy. If someone wants to be academy buddies with me, I'm down with that.

As for backgrounds, you'll probably have heard of Leena or at least heard the rumours. Doubt anyone would be her friend though. Most people try to avoid her and her crazy rantings about only 150 pokemon and how Lugia is actually MissingNo. She contributed to the newspaper club while in the Academy.

Right, here is my character sheet Razel Ticar

Turquoise will be my color if no one has any objections with it. Also, Razel has been to many islands thanks to living on a house boat, and his parent's job has taken to professor, wild, and port island the most. He has been to academy island before, but only briefly. Razel would probably single himself out, simply because of living on the water for so long, and not having many friends while he was out there. Not a people person, to say the least.

Plans, if you want to play up having a crush on Leena, then that'll be cool. Just as long as I can play her as never having even noticed you, too busy in her own research. She tends to isolate herself because people made fun of her beliefs, and she would probably have been spotted when arguing with a teacher. Other than that, she rarely left her room.

She would probably have not met Razel, and will claim his Aron is in fact a steel shifted Nidoran. (compare the 3 stages of Nidoran male to Aron and tell me it's not a little feasible for her to assume so)

Actually, if you look at my wishlist, I have Nidoran (male) and Ryhorn, which all evolve into the same style of pokemon. (Third evolution stage for Aron and Nidoran, second stage for Ryhorn.) And I will be posting my wishlist soon.

And my wishlist- Beldum, Abra, Bagon, Ryhorn, Nidoran (male), Starly, Larvitar, Shellder.

I could see you and I being buddies, as your experiences traveling all over and meeting new pokemon would interest Donavon. They could even have met often when your house boat docked in Port Island.

yeah, that sounds about right. The best crushes are when the object of affection is seemingly unattainable and at least a little mysterious.

If he does, Razel would probably approach her dragging Stone along and ask her name. He is naive in the ways of people, thanks to the limited contact with others, and probably does not know the difference between strange and left out, and probably will find out about the crush part half-way though the question. If not, he might see her arguing with the teachers, but would not approach her. Razel activities mainly go around outside courses, learning about pokemon by reading a book outside in the sunlight, or cooking (in which he would help the cooking staff.)

As to how we all met, I've been having a look at the character backgrounds. It strikes me that it would make sense for Isaac to have met Razel through classes, if we say basic pokemon husbandry and pokemon care were the same class (they sound similar).

Isaac might have been interested in the newspaper club too, so he might know Leena slightly through that. Incidentally, on home towns, Isaac is a Johtan, from Goldenrod.

Oh, forgot to mention. Leena is from Celadon, but was placed in the academy after her parents died. She mostly e-mailed her stuff to the paper, but would have popped in occasionally to hand deliver stuff or develop her photos.

One little thing Word. Your STR and CON are both 13, but you need 13 to get in the class and get a +1 to each, meaning you should have 14 in each.

@IrnBruAddict: That makes sense, if Leena mostly e-mailed, Isaac probably knows of her, but hasn't met her properly. Thanks for that point on my sheet, I'll fix it later. Do I need to take a couple of points from other stats?

By the way, my wishlist's on my character list, but I'll post it here too. I hope that it's not too many, but it's not like I'm looking to catch them all any time soon. If I need to cull it, then just the first five from the Low list, and Dratini.

I broke them up into three categories, and put them in order of preference.
Low -level: Rattata, Pidgey, Magikarp, Caterpie, Pikachu, Spearow, Nidoran (M&F), Wurmple, Poliwag.
Mid-level: Purrloin, Abra, Heracross, Machop
High-level: Dratini, Axew, Aerodactyl.

Isaac's favourite types are Normal, Bug and Dark, and his favourite legendary is Ho-oh (but he knows it as the rainbow Pokemon that used to roost in the Ecruteak belltower).

Call me War or Ranju, I go by those names a lot. And actually, I messed my username up, for I usually go by WarGrunte. But I had typed in my password and hit enter before seeing the mistake and then it was too late.

On a unrelated note: What do we have to do to get off of the islands and to the main land? I am just wondering if its like beating the four leaders/top trainer/instructors of each island or if we can go ahead and leave the islands. Or are we just going to stay on the island for the entire campaign?

You have 68 stat points, so you'd need to take it out of somewhere. I'd recomend INT, with a Cap Spec and a Researcher, not much need for you to have INT.

Wishlist (specifics, anyways): Riolu, Evee, Burmy, nincada, nidoran, ditto, feebass, beldun, castform, clamperl, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltress. Of course, to catch them all is his cause. Training them is the test of his abilities.

besides wanting to catch literally every one, these are the specifics he has an eye for.

There doesn't seem to be much overlap in the wishlists, apart from three of us having the Nidoran family down - oh, and two after Abra.

well, technically, my guy wants ALL of them. So he "overlaps" everyone. He's very glad there's a breeder in the group to help him get copies of all the things he catches to help everyone else and give him materials for trading.

Well I guess we will start as soon as D gets back on, yes? Also, my wishlist only counts on some of the easier ones that my guy wants to breed. He is also going after legendaries for breeding, and nearly extinct species. Thats his main wishlist I guess, but that is more IC stuff then ooc.

And Plan, having a crush on a girl that believes there are only 150 pokemon when your guys wants to catch all of the pokemon...well it will get into interesting RP to say the least.

I'm just waiting for when I get the feat that gives me +5 to Charisma checks, so she can start to convince NPCs that she's right.

As for your question War, to get off the island it is just as easy to get off as come on, go to port island and catch a boat. (I guess it doesn't have to be to Kanto either, story can happen anywhere I guess)
