Studying, as in doctor. He doesn't know if what's happened to them is really bad or not, and doesn't have the time to make sure. So he'd rather restore them to a previous state which he knows to be safe than risk releasing them and causing more harm to the regular population.
EDIT: Does the Steelthorn contacting those inside Starseeker violate the Sanctum's no entry barrier thing? Mods?

I mean there is no such rule in the actual rules - it was, remember, an OoC agreement. I don't know if snowfire recognized that agreement. I would pm snowfire about it and figure it out between the two of you.
@ Draken and Mystic
Would either of you have a problem with Arlom's sewers connecting to the underdark? Perhaps even the Pillar of Nightmares?
The sewers connect to the catacombs which connect to the underdark.
Ing'dras' hell-gate is in the underdark, it is merely a very isolatted region of the underdark that is only accessible through a very specific path from the surface.

Meh, too much effort. I'll just make it a cosmic decree come Saturday. Personally, I think it ought to be an actual part of the rules, but that's for other, wiser minds than mine to decide.

Making "You can't come without permission" part of the rules would make each sanctum an impenetrable fortress. As it is now its a OoC agreement that basically reads "You can't come without permission until plot allows you to barge in"

It's all in the wording, mystic.
Cosmic Decree:
Sanctums are holy places of divine power and as such no one may enter them without the sanctum owner's permission
That would make them impenetrable fortresses. But this wouldn't:
Cosmic Decree:
Sanctums are Holy Places of Divine power and as such, no one may enter them without the sanctum owner's (explicit or implied) permission unless they directly challenge that owner's authority by attacking to enter the sanctum
Mechanically, this means that a god can force their way into a sanctum by rolling their attack dice vs. their opponent's defence dice (plus one from the sanctum) and scoring higher.
This allows someone to force their way in, or allows a god to "leave the door open" for another god or two if the need arises.
Edit: This could also be used just as a rule for the games period. Not necessarily a cosmic decree.

Oh you can make a cosmic decree do anything - I was thinking of the rules as they were and that second wording would have worked great - where was that advice during the rule making

I thought somebody already proposed that. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention. It happens to me a lot.
Well if everyone is okay with that wording the rules may be changed right now ALA darklord - but I wont have them retroactively applied. But for future reference i like that interpretation
For those who crossed out writing, made "alternate past posts," or extraneous posts in the IC, please delete them
Hey! The Alternate Past: NULL thing was part of the nightmares Vylcent's having. It's just the past that could've happened well... if nothing happened at all.

I'd like to take this time to talk about the Vahnatai Life Cycle.
1 - Reproduction
Vahnatai don't "do the nasty" if you will, they commune together Telepathically, and merge their minds for a time. This, combined with the psychokinetic abilities of the Vahnatai, results in the creation of an "egg" made from whatever material is nearby. The Egg hardens to the consistency of rock, and is taken by the "female" Vahnatai, to be incubated by telepathic link. After roughly two (our earth) years, the Egg cracks, and a Vahnatai child is born.
Now, when I say female, I don't mean in the traditional sense. The Vahnatai as a race are Genderless, and indeed their society is one without gender roles. When I refer to a Vahnatai as "He" or "She" I refer to the category that it would place itself under if taught the variance of gender from a typical human society.
2 - Maturation
A Vahnatai matures over the first thirty years of life. From the time it "hatches", it begins to grow from a small child of roughly one foot height and twenty pound weight, to the adult height of roughly seven and a half feet, and 100 pounds weight. During these thirty years, physical maturity is reached around the fifteenth year of life. Mental maturity, including psionic powers, grow into their full status around age thirty.
This is not to say that the Vahnatai infants do not have psionic powers. They do have some, but it is raw, undeveloped, and wild. For this reason, the Vahnatai children are cared for by a small group of aging adults and elders, who use their own fully developed powers to aid the children in developing. By age five, most Vahnatai children can fluently communicate telepathically, and are capable of carry a conversation well. Age ten is characterized by a sudden growth spurt, lasting for five years. This is considered "Physical Puberty". Age twenty is when psychokinetic powers come into play, and is considered the start of "Mental Puberty".
3 - Aging
The Vahnatai don't age much physically after their first puberty, and keep their youthful energy and strength for roughly three hundred and fifty years. After this time, the Vahnatai begin to show signs of aging. Wrinkles on the skin, and slowing of reflexes are the most common symptoms, though occasionally the loss of bone mass becomes a problem. Luckily, as the Vahnatai age Physically, they strengthen mentally, and can use their increased psionic power to compensate for loss of physical stability.
At roughly four hundred years of age, the Vahnatai experience a second Mental Puberty, and their psionic powers are heightened once more. At this point, the Vahnatai's physical body is weak, and requires extra care to keep from fatal injury. Most Vahnatai of this Age are of the Ihrno caste, as their wisdom and knowledge is great.
So to recap, Vahnatai reproduce via psionic communion, making a stone egg. The Egg hatches after 2 years, and the childhood of the Vahnatai lasts for 30 years, covering two separate puberties. Old age begins to affect the Vahnatai at roughly age 350, becoming weak and fragile by age 400. The Vahnatai can then live for roughly 100 more years, before their body completely gives in and dies. Thus, the typical Vahnatai Lifespan is between 450 and 500 years.

What are the rules about messing with other people's creations? I want Nous to talk to a member of one of the races, preferably humans I guess since I'm guessing they are most populace, but don't want to step on Valmyr or Velharan's toes. It shouldn't be intrusive, just want to create a concept of higher education and start a following that is searching for the academy.
@Hank
There are no specific rules against it, in fact, that's what a lot of people do. I'd actually love for the Vahnatai to get some academy going, if you wanted to teach them that.

It would appear that combat has ended with Moglin and Velharan disabled.
Whether Bharus, Valmyr and Arathor continue fighting is another matter.
Well... There you have it. The Bone Lord has defeated the Silver Sun and will himself be struck down.
Peace for now?
I'm assuming the flashing light that consumed the two of them isn't instant? Sort of like the scene from (yes, I'm a nerd) Digimon where Angemon defeats Devimon and they both get enshrouded by this great light, talk for a bit, blah?
If you had not planned for it to be so, can we make it so? I have something planned for Moglin. No, it does not involve him attacking you anything. Afterall, 0 Health.
GM question, do not look unless you don't care about plot spoilers, or are a gm.
Spoiler
I would like to know if I am allowed to/could get permission to have the shard and origional Moglin split into two separate gods? NOT having different ap's or anything like that, just to have different appearances, personalities ideas etc. I'm not sure if I want them to always know what the other knows, if what I'm requesting here is allowed, then I'll decide.

Read only if you are a gm or promise

Sure. Pm the mods with the second god idea - if we approve it, we'll figure out how to split the AP (AND DICE) between the two of you. so each of your 2 gods will start with only 5 Dice.... (less than a demigod btw). Speaking of demigods... why not make a demigod and explain that demigod with this idea?
Actually.. I like that idea mystic1110. See, THIS is why you're a gm, and I'm just an unbelievably attractive player who everyone is inlove with.
Wait what.
