Losing a valuable veteran ninja is a pretty big deal, and Maaya's probably gonna get imprisoned after she murders Min for risking the Sharingan.

EDIT: Also, I'll need Initiative. Actually, nevermind. I forgot Maaya's actually involved in this battle. The fight's basically over, so I'm not gonna bother with initiative or a map. You guys have two rounds. Min's within five feet of the real Manabu. Gonzou's within five feet of all four Manabu. And he's within 40ft of Momo, which is the maximum range for the Fire Fang Technique.

Against "an attack" since Manabu might try ninjutsu. It's a testament to her skill that she'd immediately turn it on Momo despite not having known Momo was there.

Bad, do you have a cunning way to talk yourself out of this potential hunt for Kaede? You could always be honest, I guess, and say he's somewhere in the woods, Amon's trail will lead right to him, and he's tied up. Maybe they won't immediately snatch him up for the boost in reputation it would bring, to drag a long lost Uchiha back to the village. Cybele would totally kill us if we let Kaede get dragged all the way back to Konoha, but Amon CERTAINLY can't take on a jounin and her team, probably not even with Kaede's help.

It doesn't help that the Thunder God has a high enough rep bonus that even Amon could make the Ninja Lore check necessary to know who she is.

I'm trying my hardest Trace but Houshi's response has put Yousuke into something of a situation. I'm just trying not to indict Kaede as part of our mission to avoid rousing any sort of suspicion from the Konoha team.

Well, you gave them a name. Maybe that will earn a reaction. I'm serious, there's at least a 50% chance he's that kid's father, mofo got BUSY in his travels

Houshi does always have a way f making things hard. He can't hide, he can't climb trees, he can't use any cool ninjutsus like even Amon can. If he couldn't lift and break things so well, he'd be more of a liability than Amon. Which reminds me, I was working on a really cool genjutsu that would allow me to hide the big lovable lug that is Houshi. 'Giant in the Shadow' or something like that - it would hide one ally in my shadow, meaning I would have to be spotted first before Houshi was, not matter how bad he is at sneaking, as long as he remains in close proximity and makes no obviously aggressive actions.

By the way, the marks Amon have been leaving are big 'X's (about chest height and fist sized) vertically printed on trees with little arrows vaguely pointing in the direction of where she intends to draw the next one, in black ink

And don't be dissing Amon's ninja lore - her +7 bonus isn't too bad, all things considered, if below average. She just has TERRIBLE luck

Does our team even have a designation? We seem to be centered around guard work/assault but we're generally well rounded over all. We are in no way, a tracking team though.

Oh good. I wonder if that means Bea has been following the whole time too. She'll probably spot Amon trailing them since she stops to leave her ink marks every now and then, possibly approach her and investigate what the situation is. After all, if attacked directly, the kids might freak out - they have Kaede as a hostage, so they might kill him if she charges in without information. She'd still be henge'd until 10 minutes in though - BUT, because she's henge'd into Kaoru, she'll still have a Soragakure headband on display. i usually think of that as a given, but in case you're curious, I'd say she has it wrapped around her left arm, where she remembers Kaoru having a particularly deep gash

On designation, I'd say we lack one. We have no bloodlines or specialised training besides Amon's puppetry and Yousuke's being pretty cool at hitting things, and our team has only been on 2 missions so far, 3 counting this one, and with the exception of their latecomer has only been out of the academy for a fortnight. I was going to specialise Amon in infiltration, but I know that generally won't gel with Houshi. If we want a theme Houshi can participate in, I'd say general assault squad

Given Amon's focus on infiltration and Yousuke's hide/MS mods I'd say assassination, but then Houshi blows that idea out of the water.

Oh, I don't have a focus on infiltration yet - I was going to build her to it over the next few levels. With Cybele leading us, we're pretty solid in the assassination department if we built to that. Which I guess makes Houshi our 'we stopped caring' contingency if a mission went tits up. Maybe next mission we can actuyally have an assassination mission - Amon is DRIPPING with poisons she never gets to use and her puppet would be good for delivering, and with her Mind Tansfer is perfect for the job.

Bad, any ideas on how to talk her out of capturing Kaede? God damn, Houshi, we could have done something if he didn't go and do that... Now we have way too many high level ninja on different sides here.

I'm trying to talk the genin team from following after us. Houshi can try to handle Bea, or at least distract her for long enough for us to get Kaede out of there. Yousuke is still too injured to really be stopping anybody.

So yeah, we're a general response team now.

Hmm.... if I have Amon make her move, I might be able to kill everyone and get Kaede out of these before she turns up. Then again... her team are tracking experts, so merely running away won't be enough. It's quite possible they didn't even know Kaede was with Soragakure, so this could be disastrous. Our only option, as I see it, is to use her intervention as a window of opportunity to do whatever we need to do with the Garou, then have Kaede cover our escape with a genjutsu or general espionage thing and land hop back to soragakure before they know what the ****.
