If Leon had still been around to hear Amber's snit, he would have laughed and said that he didn't care if the others followed or not. Unfortunately for party communication, Leon had already walked off and hadn't heard.
As you continue to walk, the sounds become apparent to anybody with ears. The crashes ring throughout the air, and are accompanied by two raging voices.
TAU!
ROS!
TAU!
The grove of trees is about 30 feet off the road, but you can't see past the branches to scan the pokemon.

You can either go after them or keep moving. If anyone else follows him, we'll figure it out, but the rest of you get posts when you get moving :)

Taking a wild, risky guess, Leon guesses that this pokemon is called "Tauros". Isn't sure what it is, but it's definitely not electric. Probably isn't grass or ground either. In fact, Leon thinks the name sounds like a fighting 'mon.
Deciding to send out Thomas his emolga, he has the creature fly 9' off the ground and over Leon's head as he approaches.
"Well that was fast." Drake said has Leon left. Drake nodded his head and shrugs to Amber's comment "I'll go ahead and follow him y'all can go around. I don't want to lose someone early on in the mission. Drake left and followed Leon.
Still, it seemed pretty sure that was what was going to happen. Ken sighed - so they were what, a few hours out of town and already the group had lost cohesion and stability. Terrific. And while this squabble happened, the problem in the power plant could only grow worse, not to mention they'd be considerably less effective not working as a team.
Well, so much for the mission for now. Ken mentally shifted focus: He was here to help keep people safe, so whomever had the least people would need the most guarding, just in case. And if Drake was going that way along with Leon, then that probably meant going with Amber. Thus, he remained put as Drake walked after Leon, intending on following Amber.

As you struggle through the trees, Thomas leaps from limb to limb with ease. Suddenly you break through the trees into a large clearing. Two large bull pokemon stand in front of you, horns interlocked. Each has three tails that whip the pokemon into a frenzy. A pink hooved pokemon sits behind them, watching the bout intently.
The two bull pokemon notice you suddenly and turn to you and prepare to charge.

Leon gulps. This'll be tricky. He hopes he can pull this off.
He'll scan them and hold the rod he's been passing current through all afternoon as an improvised weapon.
"Come on, bring it!" he challenges them, flexing his muscles and trying to make himself look physically intimidating enough to give them pause. If he just delay them long enough to let Thomas get off a move, it could make the difference. He'll give a quick motion to Thomas.
The Emolga, seeing the signal, shoots off a thunder wave on the tauros on the left.

Drake hears Amber's words but still went on his way to where Leon has ran off to. He'd better not get himself into trouble he seems smarter then that .
The Tauros's immediate plans don't seem to change much from Leon's threats. They both lower their heads and charge at Leon with their horns gleaming menacingly.
Thomas shoots an arc of electricity at the left Tauros just after it connects with Leon.

As you approach the trees, you hear pounding of hooves, and a cry of pain from Leon.
Amber glances over at Ken, "So, if the party ever doesn't wanna do things my way am I allowed to run off trusting people will follow me to clean up my messes?" She asks heading the direction the group had voted on. It wasn't that she liked being mean, but allowing bad habits to form was never a good thing.
Barely standing after that hit, Leon will throw an ultra ball at the paralyzed one and motion for Thomas to remain where he is while he retreats to P17.
Thomas will rush in and quickly attack the non-paralyzed one before it can act.

Drake hears Leon's screams of pain"Are you okay Leon?" Drake said as he advanced as far as he could. "Leon you'd better be praying to Thundurus for those weird powers of yours to kick in."

Ken didn't reply. He just looked in the direction Leon and now Drake had gone - a little leery.
There's two of them. They'll be fine.
He took a step after Amber, looking back again. Two of them. They were both pokemon trainers selected by Devon. They'd be fine. Heck, they did a lot better than he and Viktor at doing anything more than 'standing there' in their first match.
...they'd be fine.
Amber, however, was at themoment just 'one'. Resigning himself, he hurried along after her.

You progress is much slower on the Detour than it was on the open road. Without a well worn path to keep out plants your clothes kept getting caught on twigs and brambles. A Deerling and Sawsbuck cross your path and they are close enough for you to scan them, but they run off before you can do anything more.
If you continue for an hour without turning back, you end up back on the road a distance down the road. You'd safely avoided the wild pokemon, though your clothes looked a little worse for wear.
Leon
The ultra ball hits the Tauros squarely and is promptly smashed by one of the three tails that shot towards it. Thomas loses it's stability halfway through the attack and bounces harmlessly off the other bull's hide.
The two turn to their attackers and lash out with their horns viciously while the pink pokemon cowers in the back.

Through the trees you can see the battle taking place. Leon looks much worse for wear, and the wild bull pokemon's horns are red with his blood.

"Krayt come on out" Krayt the trapinch is sent out. "Use Sand Tomb on the Tauros not paralysed" Krayt uses Sand Tomb on the Tauros that isn't paralysed.

Grateful for the small breaks in life that the paralyzed one didn't act and Thomas survived the hit, Leon will try another ultraball on the paralyzed tauros. He will try another ultraball, motion for Thomas to continue the fight and back away to S 17.
Thomas will continue to try to hurt the non=paralyzed one.

"Ugh, that was more trouble than I was hoping for, but we got here." Amber says looking around for the others. "They better not get too beat up picking avoidable fights, I'd rather us not be too hurt before we get to the power plant." She says looking around while she waits hoping to find some berries or something.

Eh figured I'd look for something while I wait. How does berry hunting/food hunting work?
"Damn, not much other than some beat up pokeball..." She mumbles as she releases her Togetic, "Fly up and let me know if you can see how far they are."
Leons pokeball slams into the Tauros hard. It disappears into the pokeball and falls to the ground. After several seconds of thrashing, the pokeball finally goes "ding". The wild was safely contained for now.
The other Tauros roars in frustration at not being able to move, and stomps its feet angrily. The small pink pokemon, which your dex identifies as a milktank sees the fate of the other pokemon and begins to run off into the trees in a panic.
Ken & Amber
As your Togetic flies up to scout the area, two small red pokemon fly up to it. They seem to be red circles with dots on their backs, and they chatter rapidly in pokespeak with Togetic. Spotting you, they fly quickly down to the two of you and hover in front of you with their heads tilted quizzically.

Not wanting the other pokemon to get away, Leon will trust him teammate to handle the trapped tauros while he keeps the other thing from running off.
"Be sure to keep that thing trapped!" Leon calls out as he moves to O13. Not wanting to risk Thomas any more, he'll recall the squirrel an send out Nicolai, whom he commands to use thunder wave on the fleeing Miltank.
Amber smiles and waves at the two as she scans them, "Ummm hi, my name is Amber. I'm looking for a group of trainers and was curious how far they were?" She ask wishing she could understand pokemon, "I'm not sure if you need me for something?" She said wondering why they just flew down, but glad they did. "Is something wrong?"
(Since I didn't use a Trainer Action I assume I can still try to catch it.)

This is a personal request. Can everybody put anything not strictly IC in spoilers? This includes damage, notes to me or other characters, or rolls (if you forgot to do it in your first post or mess a roll up, roll in the OOC and then spoiler that number in the original post instead of posting again. This is just to keep story continuity flowing more smoothly.
Asdfth, where are you centering the arena trap, and what is the radius you're putting on it? Maximum radius is 20m, or a 40m diameter.
Ken & Amber
The two start crawling on you, sniffing eagerly. Soon they locate the berries that Amber picked, and look up at her. You pokedex identifies them as Ledybas - bug type pokemon that love berries, and will relentlessly look for them.
Ledy. They proclaim, somewhat imperiously.
