Important Note for Villains

Conflict is great! It's the heart of any story, and there isn't much to roleplay without it. However, as a player to player courtesy, please check in with the players who are active at any given time before launching an attack. Not everyone wants to roleplay combat scenes, and sometimes there are other things going on that players don't want to interrupt for a random fight. Either a PM/IM to players, a short post in thread to say (Mind if I introduce a villain here?) or a longer post in the OOC thread if it's a larger plot is appreciated.

We have no banner. You, you, you, and you in the back that never gets to post because s/he is usually ignored...FIND AN AVATARIST AND SEND HIM/HER THIS WAY. Heck, even if someone here is semi-good with photoshop so he can combine our avatars into a cheesy simple banner... That'll be fine too.

Grant nods and then starts walking down the hallway.

Lelli follows, though she doesn't do much else right now, since her player is fairly braindead.

"A few, I suppose. Erin definitely counts as a friend, and more, and then Pesty and Bobbie. But other than that, not really; I used to know Amanda, and her... Familiar, sort of, though I don't remember his name... but they haven't been around in months."

Same here. Pesty is the only person I really talk to.

"Huh. What about Bobbie? The impression I got from her was that you two are fairly close..."

Yeah. First friend I ever had.

"It seems odd that you two got to know each other, considering the circumstances you met in... Why was that?"

It was after the ones who captured us were done with me for the day. I was thrown in the cell, too tired to do anything but lay there on the group. Bobbie picked me up and set me on the cot and sat with me. I don't remember too much but I started mumbling stuff about myself.

"Ah. That would explain why you weren't as unfavorably inclined as one might expect, considering what she was and that you couldn't have been feeling very charitable towards demons at that point, then..."

Yeah, by the time I was done talking I didn't care about what she was. All I knew was that my own people had abandoned me to be captured and this person who had no reason to want to help me or care about me was showing me kindness.

Lelli blinks in surprise, frowning.

"Why did they leave you to get caught?"

Grant shrugs.

I never learned why.

Grant asks as he walks into the movie room.

"I... I'd prefer not to talk about it, I think," Lelli replies, a brief flicker of pain, fear, and shame crossing her face. "Suffice to say it was unpleasant."

In a rare bit of insight Grant decides not to pursue the subject.

Grant says as he motions towards the couch.

Lelli nods and takes a seat, curling up into one corner of the couch.

Grant takes a seat in the middle of the couch and looks over at Lelli.

Sorry. Didn't want to bring back any bad memories.

Grant reaches over to gently ruffle Lelli's hair. All things considered, Grant is probably where Bobbie picked up the habit and he just made things worse.

Lelli stiffens for a moment, as though he'd dropped a half-melted icecube on her instead of simply ruffling her hair.
