Sulfur and bonedust? As was growing horribly familiar, the Wizard finds himself entirely confused. Those were common ingredients, used by every alchemist from apprentice to mage. What were the chances that they could have the miraculous properties Nephea ascribed them? And being able to compose potions without a catalyst? Alchemy didn't work that way, did it?

Picking out two familiar names from the available selection of healing potions, assuming there are any, the Wizard sets them on the counter. How much for these two? He knows a healing spell himself, but recent events had proven it to be dangerous unfit for real combat.

Specialized knowledge and all." the catamander said as she eyed the phials the Wizard had indicated. "Hmm. How about five gilt? Bit off the usual price just for you." Nephea said, scratching her chin. "Bit of a heads up, though. Those are more regenerative than 'flash heals' so they work over a few minutes. If you want something faster, try these over here. They're a bit more expensive but they work in seconds if you're in an emergency and aren't as potent over all."
With a twitch of her nose, the catamander reached up to a strangely shaped amulet-like thing around her neck and peered at the Wizard for a moment. "..Though, after this business with the salts.. How would you like to make a bit of coin?"
Krystal gives a slight shrug. Not really any natural disasters, but the other two happen enough that the people living here kind of expect something to happen at any given moment. What that something is can be odd, though.

He's talking slowly, and is being rather patronising. Not least because he's also not human, but is at least pretending to be otherwise for his own purposes.

Dalton just shrugs. She's non-human, yeah. Not his problem, though. I mean, he's been paid (by her, but who cares about little details like that), he's outlined how to slowly asphyxiate the kobolds with smoke and fire, and if Remnant asks, he'll just deny everything and say it was a shapeshifter, and you can ask Starling and he'll say James was at the restaurant the whole time.
"Not any of my business how you two gentlemen sort this out, but seeing as she's hired an arsonist with a criminal record to clear out these kobolds, she can't exactly go to Remnant with this, can she? Just something to consider."
Yes, those would seem better suited for my purposes. Any kind of magical healing can be a godsend, but the heat of battle rarely allows you to sit down and take a moment for your wounds to heal. Replacing his first picks the Wizard takes the suggested potions instead, swirling them around in the bottle to watch them react with idle curiosity. And I suppose you're right. I had just that alchemy here would be at least close to the form I had learned. Apparently not.
I would be glad for further work, yes. Especially as the 'fortune' he had been paid for his last job was beginning to seem much less than he'd initially thought. I someday intend to open an office, sell spells and charms to the commoners, but until then mercenary work seems a good way to support myself. Better than lowering himself to plebeian toil at least. Learning magic was meant to be a way to avoid such drudgery.

Probably why he had Calvin trained, so he didn't need to.

Lust was being purely literal when she spoke of reeducation. She was plotting to rent a classroom, tie up Starling's staff, guffaw as they foolishly or brilliantly attempt to defend their illogical and ostensibly unsound doctrine, and release them at a later date! Those preceding lines were more for the record than anything else.
But Lust is a persistent vice! While Starling might have won the Battle of Emily, he shan't win the war if Lust has anything to say about it!
Lust will bide her time, waiting for the perfect time to strike. She’ll turn the police forces Brian is ringing on him yet with demonic guile and charisma. She’ll passively standby as Becky reacts to Brian until one specific condition is met…
Lust attempts to cover Becky's ears with her hands for a minute whenever the individual on the other end of the phone line picks up. She'll then stab Brian in the eyes with a fork scream! It is a bloodcurdling scream! One of a panicked female in peril.
Mister Starling detests nonhumans. Everyone is aware of this. He's admitted to it himself on a public medium! He has a clear motive. Why wouldn't he try to off one of them?
At the very least, he squeezed Emily’s arm really, really hard. Probably hard enough to leave a nice, red impression of his hand as a souvenir seeing as Emily’s pain-induced wailing was symptomatic of Brian’s grip on her.
"Help! He's-"
She'll attempt to remove her hands from Becky's ears and clap one over her mouth, her muffled shrieking succumbing to the crying of a crocodile as her eyes wickedly betray how satisfied she is with the outcome of this protest. Portraying herself as a victim isn’t normally Clarissa’s role but these are exceptional times and those call for extraordinary measures...

Rifle guy gets tackled! He's already bleeding from Alder's gut shot! He won't be hard to take down once and for all. Not at all. Thing is, he was firing cheap but high-caliber rounds at the Chrysalid aiming to pepper the alien all up and down its body with lead seasoning! Maybe that'll make his sacrifice somewhat more purposeful?
As for the zombie...
Laser-sword dudes, unite! The two up close and personal fighters of the group attempt to slice the zombie's arms off and kick it over! Hack and slash, boys! Hack and slash!
[Dodgy Blind Alley -to- New Haven (Red Zone)]
Alder and Eericka should eventually reach an upscale neighborhood (upscale for the Red Zone) where the monsters dare not lurk or loom or stalk. The citizens inhabiting this sector pay an exorbitant monthly fee to hire mercenaries to patrol the streets as a police force. Mechanized units fly this way and that as Eericka's foray into the wasteland comes to a close.
Eericka comes to a full stop, falling to her knees and panting breathlessly.
"That was close! Thanks for the help! I owe you one. So do the kids. Couldn't synthesize medicine for one of 'em with what we had at our disposal here. Had to journey across the killing zone to harvest a twenty-year-old pod from a certain plant. And if you'll accompany me to the hospital, I'll see to it that you're properly rewarded for your efforts. And I'll secure a place for you to crash tonight, Mister..."
Clarissa's ruse might be a clever one, as long as there aren't surveillance cameras on the premises.
Oh. There aren't. Having video records that could be seized by the authorities would be pretty silly for the front operation of a criminal organization.
That's one hurdle overcome! I guess Clarissa just needs a way to make sure that Emily backs up her version of events. Which would be that Starling attacked Clarissa, Becky, and Emily? Maybe? I'm not sure exactly how Clarissa intends to spin it. Starling has no motive at all for attacking Emily, and it doesn't really fit in with a humanist hate crime event. And once Emily's in an interrogation room and free from any lust aura, she'll be very grateful that her boss kept her from going anywhere with those women.
Anyway...
"This is the OhGodsHelpUs line. What is the nature of your emergency?" The bored sounding woman on the other end of the phone says.
"I have two trespassers -" He pauses as Clarissa screams. "-in my restaurant, who are threatening to kidnap and rape my staff. Please send someone to Sitar's Strings immediately.... Yes, that's the trespasser screaming.... No, I don't know why. No one is assaulting her... Brian Starling, owner of Sitar's Strings... Two females, non-human, wearing almost nothing and using lust magic of some sort... Yes, I intend to press charges. I asked them to leave peacefully, and they refused and instead assaulted me and then my staff.... Yes, I'll stay on the line."
He keeps hold of Emily throughout. If Lust is still trying to control her, then she's fighting to get free.
Since the phone conversation above is fairly long, it can be interrupted, if Clarissa or Becky tries something besides screaming. Otherwise, he'll just talk loud enough to make sure that the responder can hear him over their acting.
