Finding Players (Recruitment)Look for players for chatroom, play-by-post, or even real-life games here. Threads will expire after 3 months, so be sure to move important information to your OOC thread.
The year is 132 ABY. The Sith, led by the devious Darth Krayt, have usurped the Throne that rightfully belongs to Emperor Roan Fel. You are soldiers who risked life and limb to remain loyal to the true Emperor. Loyalists cover a wide swath of society, from the noble Imperial Knights, to the upstanding Officers, to the stalwart Storm Troopers, to the wise Missionaries, to the smugglers, infiltrators, courtiers, merchants and militiamen that find themselves in the employ of the Emperor-In-Exile. Regardless of your background, you serve the Emperor well and he has rewarded you with prestige and, perhaps more importantly, his trust.

Now, a note about the Campaign.
Spoiler
I have been a member of these boards for a long while now and I have to say that, sadly, a large majority of campaigns peter out well before their time. As in real life, it can be difficult for six or seven people to stick together long enough to see the conclusion of their shared story - life has a nasty habit of getting in the way. Beyond life, the participants' interest in their characters and the story will often wax and wane with time. All too often, one or two people will just up and leave a campaign with little mention as to why they are leaving.
I love playing PbP games but they often leave me yearning for more - more story, more continuity, more of everything. With this in mind, I have decided to break a campaign into a series of adventures called Chapters. At the conclusion of each chapter, the players will be asked if they would like to continue on or leave. Inevitably some will go and some will stay. I will then recruit a few new souls to the game and continue on with the next chapter in the story. Over time we may very well see people pop in and pop out of the game as we progress in chapters.
It is not a perfect system but I hope it allows us to have a great campaign, even if some characters are not always present.

Requirements for Chapter 3
Spoiler
We're headed into Chapter 3. We lost a few members of our party, as was expected for any long running campaign.
Our current party consists of:
- An Imperial Knight who specializes with the Lightsaber
- A Stormtrooper who specializing in demolitions
- A Msrilli who is a wiz with hacking computers
- A fringer who is an ace pilot and a crack shot
For the 5th and 6th members of the group, we're looking for someone who won't step on anyone else's toes, while still providing a cool personality and a unique set of abilities.

2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be (i.e. "Shadow Chasers" or "Agents of Psi" for d20 Modern)? What is the setting for the game (eg. historic period, published or homebrewed campaign setting, alternate reality, modern world, etc.)? Legacy Era, 2 years after the Sith-Imperial War ended.

15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above? This game will involve a good mix of both Hack and Slash and Role playing. Please do not build characters that are one dimensional or focus on one side or the other (combat vs. RP). There will be long stretches of combat and equally long stretches of Role playing. I don't want you to become bored and quit, so please build interesting characters that are equally at home in a fight or in a conversation.
16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material? What sources can Players use for their characters? All Saga books are legal.
Please note: Do not build super cheesy characters or "broken" characters.
Please Also Note: I do not want people who abuse force powers in my game.

The Imperial Knight
Spoiler
You are an Imperial Knight, a force user who has dedicated his or her life to the empire and the true Emperor. Imperial Knights' Order were founded decades ago as the Imperial analogue to the Galactic Alliance's Jedi. The Imperial Knight's iconic Red Armor was fashioned from the designs of Darth Vader's unique armor. It provides the Knight with excellent protection from both Blasters and Lightsabers. You are a warrior sworn to the protect the Emperor as embodied by the Light Side of the Force. You will do anything the Emperor commands and do it to the best of your ability.
As an Imperial Knight, you gain the following:
- Imperial Knight's Armor
- Cortosis Gauntlet
- Imperial Knight's Lightsaber with any of the three Synthetic Crystals listed in the Jedi Academy Training Manual.
- Any one Talent from the Soldier's Commando or Weapon Specialist tree (that you meet the prerequisites for)
- Praetoria Vonil Talent (if you meet the prerequisites)
Jedi Padawan who became an Imperial Knight
Spoiler
Prior to, during, and especially after, the Sith-Imperial War, many Jedi padawans were trapped on the wrong side of the battlefield. These war orphans were taken in by the Empire and, if willing to take the oath, allowed to complete their training and become Imperial Knights. Though you were raised in a different tradition, the Imperial Knights have embraced you as kin. You now serve faithfully as a Knight in service of the true Emperor - Roan Fel.
As an Imperial Knight (with a slightly different background), you gain the following:
- Imperial Knight's Armor
- Cortosis Gauntlet
- Imperial Knight's Lightsaber with the Standard Synthetic Crystal
- 1 extra Force Power of your choice (which represents your non-Imperial Knight schooling during the early portion of your life)
- Any one Talent from the Jedi's Consular, Sentinel or Guardian tree (that you meet the prerequisites for)
Stormtrooper:
Spoiler
You are one of the great unsung heroes of the Empire - you volunteered to protect your empire and fight its enemies. When Darth Krayt staged his coup d'état, you did not blindly follow the usurper as many of your fellows did. You took a stand and rallied to the cause of the one, true Emperor - Roan Fel. Since that decision, life has been hard. Hit and run attacks are now the norm and some fear Darth Krayt is too entrenched to ever be defeated. It is at times like these that the truly stalwart rise and inspire their fellow soldiers. You are one of those stalwart few.
As a stormtrooper, you gain the following:
- Stormtrooper armor
- Any one Talent from the Soldier's Armor Specialist, Commando or Weapon Specialist tree (that you meet the prerequisites for)
- One of the 4 Weapon Options: The ARC-9965 (Legacy, 183), the Interchangable Weapon System (Galaxy At War, 39), the Blaster Carbine or the Blaster Rifle
- Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot Feats
- 4,000 credits to purchase anything you like.
NOTE: In this era, Stormtroopers can be of any species and any gender, not just male humans.
Imperial Officers:
Spoiler
You have been bred for a position of power, you are an Imperial Officer. You were diligent in your studies and aced every exam. You sacrificed everything to get to where you are today and your hard work is truly telling. Though you may not be the best soldier in a fight, you compensate for that deficit with a keen and well versed mind. You stand amongst an elite cadre of fellows who are all highly skilled and greatly respected. You bravely lead men into battle and inspire them to give everything they have, including their lives, for the Empire and the one true Emperor - Roan Fel.
As an Imperial Officer, you gain the following:
- The stately Imperial Officer Uniform
- Educated Talent
- Any one talent from the Noble's Leadership tree (that you meet the prerequisites for)
- Any one talent from the Soldier's Commando Tree (that you meet the prerequisites for)
- Skill Focus for any Knowledge Skill, so long as you meet the prerequisites.
- 8,000 credits to purchase anything you like.
Imperial Missionary:
Spoiler
You are an Imperial Missionary, you have dedicated your whole life to the belief that the Empire can bring about galactic peace. You willingly bring aid and kindness to worlds decimated by war. You bare witness to the horrors of what war, and the Sith, can do. Yet you continue to brave danger because you believe the Emperor is the instrument that will one day end conflict and bring peace to the galaxy.
Imperial Missionaries gain the following:
- The distinctive Imperial Missionary Uniform
- Skill Training (Treat Injury) and Skill Focus (Treat Injury)
- Skill Focus for any Knowledge Skill, so long as you meet the prerequisites.
- The Noble's Educated Talent
- The Dodge Feat
- 4,000 credits to purchase anything you like.
Infiltrator:
Spoiler
You are a spy. You risk life and limb every day on covert missions into the places of power in the Sith Empire. You know that if you are caught, you can expect to be tortured, mutilated and killed only when the Sith Interrogator tires of your screams. Yet you persevere. You know the information you collect will aid the one true Emperor - Roan Fel - and his Empire-In-Exile. Some infiltrators take the role of spy to the next logical step - Assassin. This is an even more dangerous career choice that can only end in one of two ways - a nice retirement or execution at the hands of a Sith. Those you assassinate are individuals of prestige and power, taking them out weakens the Sith and helps to bring about the return of the true Emperor.
As Infiltrators, you gain the following:
- Skill Training (Stealth) and Skill Focus (Stealth)
- Skill Focus in any one of the following skills, if you meet the prerequisites: Persuasion, Deception or Gather Information
- Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot feats.
- 4,000 credits to purchase anything you like.
Fringers:
Spoiler
You are a fringer, you live your life on the edge because that's the only way you know how to live. How did you get tied up with the Empire? Well, the Empire provides steady pay, lots of loot, a karking ton of excitement and, though you'd never admit it openly, you have a soft spot for the Empire. Yeah, that's right, you have a touch of patriotism. Plus, Darth Krayt and his Sith are bad for business. Your skills are diverse and unique, you have proven yourself loyal to the Emperor and useful to the cause.
Fringers gain the following:
- The Scoundrel's Skirmisher Talent
- Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot and Running Shot Feats (so long as you meet the prerequisites)
- Skill Focus in any one of the following skills, if you meet the prerequisites: Persuasion, Deception, Initiative or Mechanics
- 4,000 Credits to spend as you please.
Patriot:
Spoiler
You are a patriot. When the Empire needed you most, you made sure you did all you could to help. There are many positions Patriots occupy, from being Courtiers, to Bureaucrats, to Merchants to Militiamen. You may not be formally trained for battle but you've proven yourself to the point where someone of influence and power noticed you. They took you under their wings and helped you fulfill your potential. One thing is clear, you are a team player and have a knack for being successful.
As a Patriot, you gain the following:
- The Scoundrel's Knack Talent
- The Noble's Connections Talent
- The Coordinated Attack and Dodge Feats
- Skill Focus in any one of the following skills, if you meet the prerequisites: Persuasion, Deception, Gather Information or Perception
- 4,000 Credits to spend as you please.

Hi Felhammer, I've been following your game for a little while and would love to join. I don't have a concrete concept yet, so I'll have to mull it over.

Please disregard the bit about having to be Force Sensitive. I forgot to delete that when I copy/pasted this post from the last time I was recruiting (when we needed an Imp Knight ).

Interested as a force sensitive. Probably deception, stealth, force powers and such. Would have to check the books, as it was a long time since I last played saga. I assume you don't need to be an IK to be force-sensitive? My Legacy knowledge is rusty, as well.

Hm. Interested as a Fringer Miralukan force adept. (Note that that's not senstive, but adept- huge difference). Probably Scoundrel 1/Jedi 1/Noble 4/PrC or Noble the rest. That sound good?
Oh, and I would be able to buy obtain a gauntlet and 'saber with this, right?

The "force sensitive" part usually indicates that the character has the Force Sensitive feat, though. Which as far as I can remember, you need to be a force adept.
Going to have to disagree. Crash experiences all types of sensitive feelings on the 'Thirsty/Angry" spectrum, and he's manly enough to score a whole harem.
Here is my character idea so far. I need to add a background to it and personality and finish up a little bit of math, but it's all there. Unfortunately, work has called me in an hour early (as if 6am wasn't early enough -_-) so I do not have time to finish it now, but will be done very soon.
So, if you can see, I would like to take the role of being the face of the party with the high charisma, and my gunslinger class allows me to hold my own in combat.
When you say not to step on the other characters toes, does that mena I can't get to try out a duelist ( due to the imperial knight being melee) or a storm trooper (the current demo expert?)
I've been working with a few concepts but I'd like to know before I get in love with one of them ;)
I've had in mind a concept for a sniper droid for the longest time. Would this be the appropriate place to play such a character? Even though the crunch would be largely combat, there is enough roleplay opportunity just given what he is, I believe.

Hello there! I'll be playing your friendly(!) neighborhood hotshot pilot and pistolero, Wargate Graff.
Duelist might be too much like a lightsaber-focused IK, but there are certainly a number of specialties under "stormtrooper" that shouldn't overlap our demolitions expert too much - like "heavy weapons specialist," or "corpsman," or "sniper," or "scout," off the top of my head. Of course… if you're still weighing ideas, I don't think we currently have anyone who's really invested in social skills, or stealth.

I knew the duelist would be a long shot, but there is still possibilities as a storm trooper or the like. However I tend not to play pure social characters, stealth I can do however :)
Very interested. Thinking of a Noghri commando. Stealthy type, melee. I've always loved noghri, and have always wanted to play one in Legacy.

The crunch will be completd tonight, background will follow shortly. My concept is a Chiss Imperial officer. After leading a disasterous mission which resulted in massive casualties (and personal injury, he has cybrnetics) he was transfered away from combat duty and is instead acting as a military ambassador/negotiator.
Crunchwise he’s a Noble 6 / Scoundrel 1 / Crime Lord 2. Lots of social skills and the ability to deny an opponent its move and standard actions for a turn. Also he's fabulously wealthy.

Crunch is mostly done. Changed from Miralukan to human, because normal sight is useful.
Really need to know about the wealth thing, hit points, and the background feat things before I classify crunch as done. And where the third feat in Fringer is from, so I can look it up.

Done except for Hit points. Roll or take average/max?

Max hit points (unless he changed it), wealth background tells you I believe. Max starting credits+starting stuff. So for fringer, grab starting class gold +4000.
Third feat is... *checks* Core Rulebook. Same as all the others.

So my assessment of "139k credits" is accurate. I was more asking because I've noticed some DMs who don't seem to like it.
Running Shot is not in the core rulebook, but there is a Running Attack. Typo?
