@The Party: You leave the grove engulfed in flames. The battle was a terrible one, even costing Dantie's life, but in the end, the Gnarled Shepherd was put to rest. Gigglemug walks at slow pace beside you as his thoughts race.
"The Shepherd was like a father to us all. He taught many of us the arts of the forest, including me. Now, to watch him turn into that thing. Itīs too much to bear..."
You walk a few more hours. It is now getting dark. The trees and roots in the path have become withered, with trails of sand around them. You come into a clearing. The area seems to have been blasted by a sudden fire, leaving the ground scorched. Up on a small hill lies a cabin. This one is made of blackened wood. The thatched roof has a grey color to it. Dozens of wild animals lie skinned and hung around the house. Humanoid skulls perched on old spears lie placed at different points of the blasted clearing.
Tarith looks around at the area, trying to find some sign of what is currently living in the house.

@Tarith: You walk up to the house and examine the place. Sure enough, an area ten feet across and ten feet wide has been placed on the ground, as a trap door. The actual door to the house looks old and rotten and slightly ajar.
Trapped. Predictable.
Tarith disables the trap door, and then proceeds to the actual door, opening it, and looking inside.

When Dantie hears Balions reply he sends in reply He told me that you once told him that Balion, and yes the lich was indeed here speaking with us. And though I do not know what you mean by the first task, but I do know that I have seen her. Also I have a gift for you from Stiner. It is a picture of her he started to paint. It is only right that it now belongs to you. We are making a funeral pyre for your mentor now, after that I believe we are heading to your wall. If we come across your cabin I will drop it off their for you. I have another picture as well, of you and the other two guardians if you wish to keep that one as well. Dantie sends to Balion. Then at the end he adds, May the goddess of life watch over you and protect you from his foul magic. and with that he follows the others. Replying to Tarith he says You may have gotten information, but not much that we did not already know. As for knowing where he is I already know this. I have a friend watching him. As for those things that keep him alive is it not obvious where he would hide them? To me it seems so. Dantie says.
After walking for a few more hours Dantie sees the cabin in sight and looks to Bishop. Can I see my bag Real quick Bishop I need to grab a few things out of here. As he pulls out the half done picture he looks at it and calls on his magic, focusing on the image he had of her in his mind and cast a spell hoping it will finish the painting. When he is done Dantie looks to Tarith and asks if he has found anything. I believe we should search the house for traps before going in, I need to drop this picture off here. Dantie says holding up the picture that was of the goddess.

Ok forgot if there was a picture of her actual finished the only one I keep remembering is the eyes so if there is one finished of her then I am not casting the spell, but what spell I am using is mending. (1d20+21)[28] diplomacy check with Balion
Tarith gives a blank stare at Dantie, clearly implying that he was acting like an idiot for trying to instruct Tarith in the fine art of breaking and entering

Dantie looks back at Tarith and says What are you saying master spellbane, that you are a master thief, might I remind you... and Dantie then goes on about how thiefs and all that eventually always get caught and that he should repent, so on so forth until he takes the hint.
@Tarith: You walk into the house and examine the area. The place is filthy. A fireplace burns faintly with a cauldron in it, producing a rancid smell. A table with a single chair takes up the main area of the cabin. A painting hangs on the opposite side of the door, at the far end of the wall. On top of the fireplace, a wooden stauette of a female stands proudly, next to a large wooden box.
Tarith ignores Dantie's Sermon, laughing at the points where Dantie implies that all thieves are caught, and that he has anything to repent for.

@Bishop: You walk up to the painting. It's a pastel painting, like the ones you found in Justcrown, in Steiner's studio. This one depicts Old Balion leaning his hand against the Shepherd. Both seem to be smiling. Better times, to be sure. Below is Steiner's signature, dated two hundred and fifty years ago.
As Dantie sees Bishop cross the threshold and nothing happen Dantie in turn walks into the home and places the picture on Balions bed. Once done he walks outside into the fresh air, respecting the old druids home.
@Tarith: You look at the statuette. It's made of birch wood and resembles an elven maiden in prayer. The box does not contain traps and the lid is unlocked. Inside you find the following:
@Dantie: You attempt to use mending on the painting, however, the spell repairs that which was once complete and is now broken. This painting was never completed in the first place. You step outside as your friends ransack the cabin. The woods are quiet. No sounds of animals, except for the distant growls of the undead carried by the wind. You then hear another message.
Tarith pockets the gems, and picks up, and starts to read, the ledger. He dismisses the hair as unimportant initially, before he has an idea. He heads outside, and breaks off a small piece of bone from one of the various bones outside the house, he then crushes the bone, and scatters the dust around the house, making sure there is some visible near the box, before he steals the hair as well.

As Dantie stands outside the cabin he hears the mental reply Your fellow Guardian Stiner did Balion. I have placed it on your bed and we are getting ready to leave now. Is their anything we should worry about with the trap that we bypassed? Or was it just their to keep trespassers away. And where have all the undead gone, we have not seen any in a long time, yet we know that their are a few here, in particular two of our friends.
Bishop notices that Tarith put something into his pockets, he walks over and calls him out on it, "Hey Tarith, what did you find and put in your pocket?"

Dantie didn't he took the painting of the goddess out of his bag of holding you have and placed that on the bed. You remember the ones we got in justcrown
"Some hair, and a ledger. They are probably personally important to the Druid. I will try to leave evidence that the lich did this. If only I had a way to evaporate the water in that pot."
Tarith then scatters the bone dust around.

Wondering what is taking so long Dantie walks back inside. What is taking so long Balion will be here soon to get the painting I left. Dantie says looking at the bed to only see it missing. Who did it, and don't make me use magic. Dantie says glaring at the two of them.

Dantie did not per say see the other picture so requires a DC check to see if he notices it missing from where it was. (1d20+4)[17] spot check
"Bishop, you might want to rethink taking the painting from the bed, as I would like to get the lich and the druid to fight. I am attempting to make it seem as though the lich came here, and looted the place. We came here later, so the painting would still be there. Xander, do you mind if I borrow one of your spells? I have an idea to improve the deception."
Seeing as Xander would probably be curious to learn Tarith's amazing plan, and Nathan will be gone for a couple of hours
Tarith Steals Prestdigitation from Xander, and casts it, using it to scatter salt around the house, as well as to dry out the pot. He also breaks the statue, leaving the pieces scattered on the floor.
