This is probably a stupid question but does the Templates from Immortals Handbook stack?

e.g the Disciple Template grants +1 Divine bonus to attacks and +30 fly speed.
If the character gains more QP and gains the Prophet Template (+30 Fly speed and +2 bonus to attack) does the character have +60ft and +3 Divine?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

I'm tempted to make a submission, but at the same time, I really don't want to have cohorts or a nation, which kind of defeats the stated purpose of the game.

Would it be a valid option to be just someone who everyone hates and is hunted? 'Cause if so, I have a few ideas for that....lol

You wouldn't last a day.

If every character sent 2 Cohorts you would be outnumbered something like 14 to 1 and it's pretty easy to track someone at lvl50.

The best way to not be targeted is to Detect and Retaliate any way of sensing you and even then you have a 2-3 round head start before it's Combat time.

I wouldn't be so sure, especially with the DM pretty much allowing all homebrew.

I have a few things I've been saving for a rainy day/just this sort of occasion...lol

So do we all.
I have a build that is all but undetectable.
I think the only thing that gives it away is spending too much time not in any cover at all.

It can also sense when it is spotted.

EDIT: It doesn't work against Divinations, it's a Bug character, attach to the clothing of the hunted (pretty easy to do, just Scry-And-Die with the bug tagging along) and have up-to-date info all day everyday

I automatically detect anything that can see/sense me and any Divination (or other info-gathering spell counts as a depiction. So say hello to a faceful of Tentacles from your scrying pool.

Or from midair if it's a mental Scry.

None of them are divination/mental scrying... Anywho I'd need exact wording on the "sees/senses" to be certain, though I think a few can bypass that. (also knowing you're being watched is different then knowing where I am...)

If the DM is allowing everything like this one is then it's who can pack the most TO as PO
Or has enough contingincies to beat any offensive by the enemy while getting enough offensive to beat their contingency

DM fiat is only for rules interactions when making a build mostly.

Though there is 1 rule that has to be resolved between builds that we all know of. Max and Min rolls.

Yup, DM fiat plays little if any roll, and as such shady I can only see this going downhill if you approve everything, because someone's gonna slip in something nasty now that you've announced that policy. There's a reason I was so picky with homebrew and choosy with my interpretations for my game... (hence why I've paused character gen while I wait to see if this blows up in your face. )

I will just throw out an example

So at 500HD you would have +5,000 to STR,Con and Dex
And +250 to Int, Wis, and Cha...all for only a +2 level adjustment. If you want to approve all home brews I would just cross out wiki and then it is at least a little more not broken.

Sorry to butt in, but I don't think this is the case. Allowing all homebrew means allowing conflicting mechanics. A lot of homebrew isn't simply a new class/feat/whatever, which interacts smoothly with printed material (even if it's frightfully overpowered). A lot of it is fixes and houserules, meant to replace existing rules.

For example, the explicitly approved Frank's Tomes include a totally new rule called the Edge which affects combat, they change how Power Attack and Spring Attack work (they're not feats anymore, they're options), and so on. Are these rules incorporated, invalidating their normal 3.5 counterparts? If yes, then characters or cohorts with the Power Attack feat, or anything which required Power Attack as a prerequisite, are illegal. And if not, it means that not ALL homebrew is allowed after all...

Another example. The IHB has its own rules about divine ranks. But Oscelamo's "Gods" PrC, which was explicitly approved early on, is based on totally different assumptions about divine ranks and divinity. How do these interact with each other? Nobody knows. How can you possibly use both in the same game without constant DM fiat? I don't think you can.

P.S. Sorry again for interfering. I felt the need to say that, because that free-for-all approach made me twitch. But don't mind me, I honestly hope you guys have a great time with this game. :)

Alright divine templates don't stack they replace eachother and I thought I mentioned to the characters that have a min and max roll you need to take the average.

Right. And now that I got this off my chest, and stated that I'm not playing so I don't have a vested interest , can someone PLEASE explain to me how the IHB templates add HD?

The way I read it, they change your HD (say, from d12 to d100 or whatever), but they don't add any. There's a "Minimum HD/Lvl" entry, but that's only the suggested number of HD you should have before getting the template. And if you're not there yet, you still end up with the expected ECL (your original HD/levels + the template's listed LA), though you'll have a lower CR.

So I beg you, don't let me languish in bewilderment here. How does that work? And if there's a trick involved and you don't want to reveal it in public, maybe someone could pm me?

I get your hint Drack so unless Shady says otherwise I say that non epic insta-kills are allowed, but run them by me if they don't have a save or bypass an immunity.
