My effective WS is 48 with the Aim, so that's one hit, or two if this thing is large enough to grant a size bonus to hit. Let's have some centipede fillets!

Am i the only one who thinks Ms Armcandy was one of our opposite numbers?
Are we allowed to read each others' spoilers? I don't know who Miss Armcandy is.

The Broscoraptors are keeping their distance but look very likely to pounce on the victor of Septimus vs Arthropod.
If I kill the centipede in a suitably spectacular fashion, can I turn that into some sort of Intimidate test to convince them that there is easier meat elsewhere?

(like, say, scattered bits of centipede)
1) Yep, it's hulking err lengthy... in any case +10 size modifier.
2) I don't mind if you guys read each other's spoilers. I know the other cell does, so it may be best if you do too.
3) I can't see why not =D they are gunning for something to eat after all.
Miss Armcandy would probably be Noctis' girlfriend. It's possible she's from the other team, but she's behaving in a very un-PC manner (never talked, did a lot of running and screaming.)

Ogryns were so thick-skulled that aiming for the head was a waste of time, unless you could line up a shot on the eyes.
I got your back, LCP bro, skulls for the skull collection.
I'm entirely serious about someone coming to pick Ingron up though. This arena is not one conductive to a moment alone with your broken leg.

Yesss. His name will be Skullsy. I will mount flamers in his eyes.
Reading back, I think I'm with LeSwordfish on the noble's companion being one of our rivals... but at the same time, I think it very likely that if they are not here, they are going to hear about this little ruckus one way or another.
To that end (and I hope this doesn't come across as metagaming - as far as I see staying low-profile is an important IC consideration) we should probably do our best to lock down the people who know what we were here for (or can give accurate descriptions of us). Porthal's done for, and Shryke will run over to assist with the Ingron situation as soon as circus animals stop trying to eat him, but that still leaves Noctis and a whole bunch of pit-workers.
That's Objective #2 of course. Objective #1 is to grab Longshadow's pets, Ingron and the cooperative pit-worker and ask the latter two some Serious Questions.
Noctis loves us, and I've just saved his girlfriend from a giant cat and I plan to big him up as a hero. I've already mentioned Gideon's shady dealings, so I don't think it's too much of a stretch to ask him to keep mum. Ingron is more tricky: people will be specifically looking for him, so making him vanish will be harder.
For now, though, grab the nearest good lead and get the hell out. I'm not sure how you plan to capture the beasts; and I'm unsure if it's necessary. A certain point of view would say that cutting our losses, killing them, and running would be our best bet, and Gideon will put this forward as soon as we're no longer tied up with the cast of Them!
The ultimate solution would be to let the Arbites capture the beasts and then throw our =][= weight around to get them back, but that's a last resort for obvious reasons.
Is there any security footage to seize? I want to know if the beasts were all chaos-y before they got here or not. Something to ask the cagemaster.
They're pre-captured, in cages - Ingron's release switch didn't let those ones out. The enforcers are here because we got Marcus to call them in as transport for the cages.
My plan was to ship them out to the Tricorn for vivisection (we want to know how they got all warped, and also learn a bit about what it did to them). But yes, plan B is burn them all.
The sergeant can help with that, once he's done dealing with mantids. They can do a maximum of 2 wounds to him at once, so unless they get really lucky, or he gets really unlucky, he should be able to finish them before they can finish him.
WEll, my thought was, and this is probably just paranoia on my part, but the fact she broke and ran as soon as the **** hit the fan, instead of sticking with her sugar daddy and his two well armed friends strikes me as odd, sure she could have been scared off, but youd think she would have followed the rest of us instead of bolting like that. Which makes me think shes a radical agent who was trying to get into his auction the same way we are, through him.
Of course, this also amuses me, since i can only imagine her being furious at the damn puritans who mucked up a perfectly neat and tidy operation.

I wouldn't worry about metagaming. Your counterparts regularly strategize and convene OOC before playing it out IC. So fully open communication and thinking is in your interest if it suits you all.
Note: Ingron's calf muscle is destroyed. Merely semantics, but his leg bone is intact, he just counts, rule-wise, as having a broken leg for now.
Also, no pict-captors were seen anywhere. While the place is legal, it's on the fringe. Most likely, the owners don't want pict evidence of what transpires here.
The good stuff:
-Centipede Dodge to not get gibbed: Vs 25 (1d100)[9]
EDIT: Goodness my rolls have robbed the PCs of several brutal hits now...
-Unlikely Ogryn Dodge vs 10: (1d100)[26]
if failed, he takes 4 after soak & is still heavily wounded.
-Pyrrhus stands his ground against two Xenos Apex Predators. Both Lightning Attack w/ Ganging up bonus. Vs 40: (1d100)[71]
&(2d10b1)[10]+4, (2d10b1)[10]+4, (2d10b1)[6]+4
Vs 40: (1d100)[44]
&(2d10b1)[6]+4, (2d10b1)[8]+4, (2d10b1)[9]+4
Is Septimus running for the same route as Marcus or the other, up the ramp you all entered down? He's also clear to bolt. The Broscoraptors just want some grub... pun not intended.
Consulting the map, I'm a little unclear on what's what. Shryke's trying to reach Ingron in the pit as quickly as possible: I think that means he should follow Marcus' route if he wants to avoid doubling back and adding to the distance he has to run.
If I've got the wrong end of the stick and the two distances are equivalent, Shryke will take the other one: best to cover all the exits.
Same again, half action aim, called shot to the chest.
Alternatively, if i can use my "Called Shot" to reduce any chance of hitting Ingron i might have, i'll take that.
(1d100)[80] vs 105 again.
(1d10+3)[6] damage, 3 Pen, +2 if critical, accuracy bonuses (1d5)[4](1d5)[4] So 10 damage. I guess it has a soak of 11 (minus three for pen), so that's, what, two damage? Marcus should be ready to finish it off.
One thing i've realised is that the hunting rifle isn't actually all that great for high-damage-to-a-single-target, even with accuracy bonuses. I might start sniffing around for damage upgrades.
Alright. I think Marcus will help the young worker, since he's on his way and Ingron is mostly incapacitated. Solidarity to the people of the Imperium and all that.
Charge and attack with my mono-sword on the beast: (1d100)[68] vs 55 [WS 30 + Weapon Quality 5 + Charge bonus 10 + Outnumbering it 2 on 1, 10]
Damage: (1d10)[9] + 3 R, Pen. 2

Might consider looking into a long-las. Those are generally superior to hunting rifles, except in their ability to use specialty ammunition.

Or the Angelus which is... insane.
LCP, my future maps will be better, we swears! Here's the routes as I envisioned them (things make more sense in my head):
Spoiler
*If Shryke wishes to go the opposite route of Marcus, he can go up the ramp the three acolyte's used to descent into the pens from the stands, the green ramp, which now has an arachnid feasting on a slain human within it. This will exit out into the arena at the #1 area below (#2 is the exits to the Red Circus). There are also two pit fighters battling two Maw-Flukes next to the ramp below in the pens area.
*The other, lower route, follows Marcus up the stairs onto the catwalk, across the pens expanse, and up the next staircase. This will exit at #3 below and right behind Ingron.
Mantid Dodge vs Pyrrhus: Vs 50 (1d100)[35] <Cough...>
Counter-Attack, 2x Swift Attacks vs 50:
1)(1d100)[29]
2)(1d100)[51]
Damage(s):
1)(2d10b1)[10]+4,(2d10b1)[10]+4,(2d10b1)[8]+4
2)(2d10b1)[10]+4,(2d10b1)[10]+4,(2d10b1)[10]+4 (That's a lot of 10's)
Pyrrhus Reaction: (1d100)[37] - Parries the two hits!
****
Good man, Reinhart.
Canine turns to the Warden. Attack vs 40: (1d100)[61]
Damage: (1d10+3)[9] Primitive
Youth helps: vs 35 w/ganging up (1d100)[76]
Damage: (1d10+3)[13]Primitive
****
Ogryn takes another two + 2 for going into critical. One of his ribs shatters. It's Stunned for 1 round and takes 2 levels of fatigue.
****
Aria is free to use this turn and next turn as a compiled run with Noctus if you wish, ChaoticSky.

Ok this is drawing close to being back to Narrative time! Xp will be awarded soon. Yes, soon...
Shryke has no wish to emerge on the wrong side of the arena, so he will go the way that Marcus/Ingron took. Probably sprinting past Marcus' fight with some Doppler-ed shout of "prioritieeeeeeesssss...."
Another shot to the ogryn should take it out fully. Clarify for me, because I am AFB and tipsy: I don't get the bonuses for accurate or a RDS without an aim action, do I? Does that include the Accurate damage?

Without aim, the Accurate aim bonus and bonus damage do not step into play, no.
The RDS will effect all single shots however, aim or no.
The Ogryn is stunned for 1 round if Gideon needs a moment to reload and aim.
It takes nine damage. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think that's maximum crit damage, yes?
If you don't mind, i'll write that into my post. (I can of course edit it if that's wrong.)
In addition: ChaoticSky, i'm assuming you're just taking Noctis and heading out. If that's not correct, let me know and i can edit my post. A hand spotting Rinn would be useful.
So. What next?
I'm wondering if Noctis isn't a route to some accomodation.
I certainly want to interrogate Ingron, though the valkyrie might be a good place for that. (What's the bonus to Interrogate tests from dangling a man out of an aircraft? And, more importantly, which one of us gets to kick him out when he's no longer useful? I vote Marcus or Kerberos.)
Next quest: Scoritza. Someone has to have signed off Longshadow's request to keep a group of gribblies in the basement and, from a shameless metagaming perspective, I'd be surprised by the number of times Scoritza's name came up if he was a red herring. Perhaps chatting to him at/abducting him from the auction.
