Default No Land for Weak-minded (OOC)

So, a not-so-much new campaign for you guys.

This one is a futuristic one. Pedro and Andre might remember well, this one is in near future, where we find some rare humans that wield psionic capabilities. For now, it’s four guys trying being hunted and trying to conceal their psychic gift from a lot of different parties, that include the Order Civilitas, the Al Badhil mafia and the religious fanatics of CoNumen.

But I’ll leave the roleplay for later. The thing is, each one of you will control a rather powerful character. So here are the rules:

-32 point buy, just like it always was.

-Level 8 characters.

-Gestalt with some rules. One of the side of the Gestalt character will be a d&d character with some futuristic favor in it. Arcane spells and Divine spells as well are out. Paladins and Rangers in this campaign are of the non spellcaster variant, but since they’re a bit out of the scenario, avoid them (but the urban ranger could fit better in the campaign).
The other side of the Gestalt is a d20 modern class. Only class present in the core rulebook are allowed. And only the “normal” ones, since there’s the mage and telepath, for example, that doesn’t fill.
For feats, if you ever receive a feat from a d&d character, this feat must come from a 3.5 book. If it comes from the d20 side, it must come from the d20 Modern Core Rulebook. If it comes from leveling a character, try to favor the ones present in d20 MCR. Avoid obscure feats or feats that are way too much fantastic (fantasy themed).

-The skills avaible for characters are the d20 modern ones, not the classic d&d ones.

-Feats that come from leveling and race don't come in double for each class of the gestalt. Those feats can come from both sources.

-Humans only, for most of the time. But you can take other classes and roleplay as humans, like mutants (the Maenad, for example) or child (like a halfling). You could do a gnome child, but all of his spell-like abilities are out

-Fractioned BAB progression.

-The system of acquiring gear is the classic one. In d20 modern, you find the conversor of wealth to dollar here. For the 3.5, just convert "gold" to dollar (or "credit").

-Everyone start with 30000$ to spend into initial equipment
The equipment is always character level x 3000$. In this case, it will be 24000$. However, each +1 wealth modifier adds 5% of the standar wealth (1200$ for level 8). Your basic occupation determines it. Plus, each 3 ranks in proffession adds +1 to your wealth modifier. If you max it at level 8, you have 11 ranks, which means +3.
So, a lvl8 academic with his starting +3, maximized profession (always class skill) would have a +6 wealth modifier. This gives him +30% of 24000$, so he enters his lvl8 with 31200$.

- You can buy from both books. But some weapons, like the quarterstaff or the greatsword (used in the campaign back then) are found easily in 3.5 d&d. For armor, pick the d20 modern version.

-The basic classes of d20 modern rarely offer Armor proficiency or Martial Weapon Proficiency. So, if the undercover vest requires light armor proficiency, for example, you can consider the one you have for levels in 3.5 class.

-From the d20 modern, only the d20 MCR is allowed with some few tweaks from other books. From the 3.5 d&d, you can use all the core books, spell compendium, magic item compendium (but you’ll have to roleplay that those are implants or gadgets), Tome of Battle (again, you’ll have to roleplay a bit differently), Expanded Psionics, all the Complete books (but some books might be nearly useless, like the Complete Arcane, for example) and Unearthed Arcana. Some feats from other books might be selected, but only if they aren't too weird or hard to roleplay in a futuristic scenario.

-For Pedro and Andre, try to keep the same character, if possible. I mean just the basic roleplay. For example, if Pedro want to keep Russel, he might add some levels of Psychic Warrior, Ninja or Swordsage to give some power (you’ll need it). The Wilder don’t need too much change to make him powerful, just remember the Charismatic hero from the d20 modern. I’ll keep Vincent as a Lurk with a Greatsword (but I added some levels of Warblade, again, to give a bit of power to the guy). If you want help or are too lazy to (re)build a character, just tell me, I can guarantee a strong one.

-The starting occupation of d20 modern is allowed. But only the core occupations.

-For every mechanic not explained here, the defaut of rules is the 3.5 d&d, since it's the one everyone here is most familiarized. Most of the time, d20 modern is very very similar to 3.5. You won't need to read too much of the d20 modern, just the core. Actually, you won't really need to read it, just ask me and Andre.

-For curiosity, the d20 modern side of the character is you basic aspect. Like Russel (Pedro's character) could be a Smart/Field Doctor, which translates to being an inteligent scientist, ie, your personality and profession. The 3.5 side is your "hero" aspect, like being an Anarchic Initiate/Wilder, for Malk Zabel (Andre's character). Mediocre enemies will have only the d20 side of class, powerful enemies will be gestalt just like you. You probably will face at least one powerful enemy by each encounter, since you're supposed to be strong.

-Build the background of your characters. It doesn’t need to be too big. You’ll have to influence in the story, since I plan to give up the DM somewhere in the campaign to play Vincent (pretty much like we did back them).

-And lastly, you can disobey one of this rules under rare circunstances. You must talk with the current DM about it and give a good explanation, roleplay of why you have a not allowed feature.

Soon, I'll post Vincent and you'll be able to glance how a character will look like. The character building might be just a bit harder than normal, if you find it too hard, just tell me how you want the hero and I'll help making it.

So, here's an example of a character.

Vincent Coldani

Vincent isn't the typical mercenary of the Order Civilitas. The Order is know for employing menacing and agile soldiers to hunt dangerous persons around the world, always accompanied by a high tech droid and a powerful arsenal of weapons.
Compared to the average imposing mercenary of Civilitas, Vinc (how his colleagues call him) is quite goofy. It doesn't help that his droid is actually in humanoid form, just like the first droids made, and is called "Jojo" on top of it all.

Well, that's what he looked like before meeting a dreaded psionic knew as Malk Zabel. One of the most dangerous humans the Civilitas ever dealed with, faced one of the goofiest mercenary. It's like fate itself was mocking with everyone. However, unlike most would expect, those two creatures forged an unlikely alliance. Vincent discovered soon enough that he, just like Malk, could manage the power of his enhanced mind to great effect.

The duo (or trio, if you consider Jojo) soon encountered Russel Wallace. This middle aged, bulky man was a researcher of great skill and a superb figther at the same time. What could be described as top dangerous situation by any Civilitas, this man allied himself with Vincent and Malk.

A rogue ex-mercenary of Civilitas, a powerful psionic and a veteran researcher/soldier were pursuing similar goals: survive, and would smash any who dared face them.

"What if..." Vincent sometimes wondered. "What if we could gather all the psionics we could find? No one could stop us."

More on the plot later. Anyway, I'll also build Jojo, a support NPC.

I didn't. The short tale wasn't finished and got way different from our tabletop.

Here I'll keep the story in tabletop. (In the tale it's much less fantastic, psionics are much rarer, and your characters are different from what you really want).

Don't worry, I'll write something down.
Vincent, Malk and Russel are together. They'll meet Rich's character somehow. After Rich defines his character's personality and background I'll write how the situation is, and some background too.

Mike Byson, the afro kung fu fighter was a strong guy who lived through violence and bullying... till he found Master Miagi, who disciplined him and taught him the mastery of the kung fu.

But after some arguement about philosophy with his master, Mike Byson got back to his way of living and won a bloody title in a local mma tournement held (secretively) by the Mafia.

He being the champion surprised a lot of people and made the Mafia look out for him to join their ranks as a killer or bodyguard, but he refused and had to fled the would-be employers.

After a time hidden, he decided to go back to master Miagi and ask for his guidance, but when he found his dojo was abandoned and there were blood stains in the floor and broken furniture. There wasa battle and master Miagi was dead or missing.

Since then he's looking for his former master while advancing in his trainning through chinese scrolls that his master gave him before the big fight, all the while running and escaping from the mafia killers.

At some time he was surprized being chased by members of the Order Civilitas what made him a little confuse: for apparently no reason he's being hunted down for the Order.

Here are some options of the reason of being chased off by the Order:

Allright, since I turn spells out, we might have a hard time healing.

That's when droids enter.
They are of the robotic type (homemade). It's like warforged, but they can have more forms than humanoid and have vulnerability (1.5x damage) to electricity. Plus, they are immune to sneak attack, unless the attacker has 5 ranks knowledge in technology, which means he knows the basic "anatomy" of robots enough to strike important parts. In that case the attacker strike the droid like he wasn't immune to precision damage.

They are the only ones who can use something similar, in effect, to spells. They aren't spells, and droids, like everyone else, can't cast something similar to spells. But they can use capsules, which are just like wands. Droids can use lvl1 wands that cost 1000$. Droids of lvl10 or higher can use lvl2 wands that cost 10000$ (expensive, I know). Epic Droids (they are super rare) can use lvl3 wands that cost 50000$.

On the plus side, the caster level of a spell triggered by a capsule is half the character level of the droid.

I made Jojo, which is the silly name of the Vincent's android. He already comes with Regenerating and Holographic capsules (Lesser Vigor and Silent Image, respectively.) Vincent bought him a Barrier capsule (Shield).

Jojo comes with the current equipment and gains no money. Any upgrade must be donated by party members. Any capsule must be bought and given to him. He can carry a maximum of his character level in capsules (independent of the level of the "spell"). There's no "spell resistance" in this campaign (although there is "power resistance"). Some "spells" are completely out, like the summon monster, since it's way to difficult to roleplay. Others have the a different roleplay, like "barkskin", which makes the skin of the subject more resistance, but it doesn't look like wood.

Jojo can also heal out of combat with his treat injury skill, just like the d20 modern. He is a support character, of course.

Here is Jojo's sheet.

Jojo:

Recently, Vincent and his teammates could tap some info about all sort of things, including their android buddy, Jojo. It was when they found a profile, which answered by the code name of Apollo, who supposedly had a lot of info about a particular robot named Jojo.

First, Jojo is actually one of the oldest androids working (living) to this day. He was among the first droids built.

Second, Jojo was originally design to simulate a human. But not just any human, a philosopher one! Jojo is proficient in the field of Biology, Geology and Phisophy. His cognitive capacity is well above the average human. Later, when this Apollo guy bought and named this droid "Jojo", he would switch some parts to give the Android a lot of combat prowess so he could survive the Heretic Wars, which he actually did.

Third, and most interesting. Vincent never knew a droid called "Jojo". When he first saw the android, Vinc simply called him by that name and Jojo responded. It's hard to pick which alternative is the least likely, two extremely similar droids with the exact same silly name, or the same droid receiving the same name two different times.

Who could be Apollo? How a unique droid like Jojo ended up with Vincent, a less than spetacular mercenary? Those questions still haunt Vinc. But still, Jojo is extremely loyal and useful no matter what's his past.

Malk Zabel, or just Malk, it's one of the first teammates bound together with Russel and Vincent, in the begining of the adventure. This tall muscular man, with a long straight black hair and a pair fierce black eyes, it's a living weapon, designed almost a century ago in one of the extinct military labs that supplied the countrys involved in the A Hundred Months war. In that time, the genetic engeneering accomplished a great number of feats including the selection of traits without the major drawbacks normally associated with this methods.

However, Malk turned out to be a dissapointment due his lack of discipline and explosive temperament. Literally! In tandem with the genetic engeneering research, those labs produced remarkable advances in the cybernetic subject. The creators of Malk viewed a rare opportunity to test this new technology in a living human without any ethic issues and chosen theirs super-soldier as theirs main laboratory mouse. The experiments turned Malk even more mentally unstable. Looking for a way to stop the uncontrollable soldier, the creators implanted eletronic devices in Malk's eyes, torso, limbs and spine in hope to control him. Once again, this was a completely failure. Finally the lab put Malk in a criogenic state and promptly forgot his existence.

Eighty years after his freezing imprisonment Malk was released in the streets of Badland city without any whys and wheres. From that day, Malk wandered along the city hiding every time someone started making to much questions about him. That worked well until the rainy night when he met Vincent and his android friend...

Malk it's a super elusive sharpshooter mind blaster. A quiet lad with a very narrow view of life, society and everything else, will normally avoid contact with people in hope do not get too much attention.

Andre showed me some cybernetics and mutations found in d20 modern.

Just don't overuse it. Malk Zabel is actually a mutant of some sort, so you can expect him to have some mutations, Vincent would have near 0 mutations, but since he is somewhat a tech lover, he could* have multiple cybernetics.

But only cybernetics of the Future book. Mind that you can only have a limited number of cybernetics at any time, despite the amount of $$$ you have to spend.

The cybernetics are actual implants into your body, the "magical" itens of classic d&d are equipments that also help you in some other way, but are usually more expensive. If a cybernetic and a item give the same bonus, they don't stack.

*It's always con mod +1 the total of implants a character can have at a given time. When I say Vinc "could" have more I talk in therms of roleplay.

Balmad, an independent city that lies in the Arabian desert and is bathed by the Red Sea. Nicknamed Badlands City by some of it's citizens, this city can be a paradise or a nightmare depending on your status. The Al Bhadil mafia runs a good knack of the city and possess the biggest casino, the Jewel 7. But it's believed that the mafiosos won't bark if the fearsome mercenaries of the Order Civilitas won't allow. This Order is the biggest organization of the world and claim to maintain peace all over the globe, something they actually did quite well since the Heretic Wars, when they were founded. Lastly, some few people believe there's still the CoNumen, the enigmatic organization behind the creation of powerful psionics, including the angels of death who wreaked havoc in the heretic wars.

A famous feature in this city is the sewer system. Housing thousands of outcasts, it was the place that Malk, Vinc and Russel decided to settle their headquarters. Gathering all the people who would support their cause, the trio now counts with a dozen. Those people are commited to find the biggest ammount of psionics they can and overthrow the opressive forces of all the big shots in the city.

There's Vinc, Russel and Malk, the original trio followed by Jojo, their loyal droid. Matt and Lisa, the reporters couple who were fired for researching psionics offer their skill in information gathering, driving and overall friendship to the cause. Old Martha and her aprentice, Connie, are the cookers of the group. The veteran surgeon, dr. Sheppard, is the official medic of the group. Janet is a computer expert and young Stevie is a skilled mechanic. Debbie, the burglar can sometimes fetch some rare equips (she function like some sort of merchant, but the money is supposed to help in her mission). Adds to the team the dog, mr. Barkalot, who is generally useless, but at least helps relieve the group of their stressful situation. Of all them, only Vinc, Russel and Malk are psionics.

Info about someone with the potential to develop psionic skills came to their ears and eyes. A towering men named Myke Byson that could grapple a bull if he wanted. No doubt someone like him, with or without psionics, could help them. It's believed he just went to the Jewel 7, where lies the bulk of the Al Bhadil mafia, who supposedly killed his master. The psi group intend to intervene before Myke has any chance to do something disastrous, or simply stupid. He could disappear in best case scenario, or die and cause a lot of chaos in the worst case one.

=========

So, here's the deal. Malk and Russel, Jojo will go with you inside the casino, you have to find Myke and convince him to join your ranks. Matt and Lisa will stay inside the van, giving support. Vincent will also enter the building, he will be already inside when you arrive. He will infiltrate the casino and give you some info.

Myke, you have personal reasons to enter the casino. You also have your own intentions. You could straight talk the mafiosos, steal documents, punch them in the face or set the whole place on fire, for example. At first, you don't want anyone meddling with your affairs. Although you say what is your reason behind your visit, it mostly resolve around the fact that you want them to pay for what they did to your master somehow.

Myke Byson is heading toward Jewel 7 because he wants to find out where his master is (he don't want to believe Miagi is dead) and will beat the c*** out of them if necessary.

There's a big opportunity for Myke. The casino will host a little MMA show for their clients. It's actually part of the game. The contenders can also place bets.

There's a big chance that the winner of the fight will talk personally with members of the mafia, since they would like to sponsor a capable fighter.

You decide if you want to take this opportunity. Plus, you also decide if you will go as an alternate fighter, with fake name and maybe a disguise (if you can't disguise yourself, you know a woman who can do it for you for 40$). Or you can just go as yourself anyway.

Note: This decision you actually took weeks before entering the casino. So if you really enter the fighting, I'll consider that the Psi team also know about you participating at the fight.

Check the new starting wealth system. Chances are that your money won't change too much.

So, Pedro, Russel will probably start richer than everyone else. So, he'll start with 31200$ without any ranks in profession, or 34800$ with the skill maximized.

Russel wallace Is a relatively know scientist on his 38 years old. He has a very board range of scientific skills and knowledge, allowing him to be an asset to whatever project he's into

After getting good grades and great respect from his professors, russel got himself working as an assistent for a lab working for CoNumen at age 16. he worked for years as a support technician repairing equipment, running experiments, handling chermical toxins, and even improvising and improving lab tools with some scrap raw materials. He had his hand meddling in the entire lab for about 10 years, while praticing ninjitsu as a hobbie. He lived a relatively normal life back then, specially because they never told him the real origin of the samples or the real function of the genes, enzimes and drugs he was handling. when he was 26 his scinetific knowledge and abilities were already those of a seasoned and versitile scientist, so CoNumen managed to upgrade his status from Senior Thechnician to Secondary Scientist. that's when his normal life ended!

He learned the true meaning of his previous reserach and started working with psionic induction directly. He had a good pay and belived he was doing a good thing, but was soon cut off from frineds and family by CoNumem. He worked on drugs that would induce psionic hability on ordinary individuals for 10 years. meanwhile, his ninjitsu skills of speed, endurance and hability increased. So instead of promoting him to Primiray Scientists, CoNumem used his as Special Subject #7 - a test subject that is able to understand what each induction drug does and how to quickly react to any side effect. The treatment was sucessfull and Russel gained versitile light psionic skills. CoNumem then tryed to convince him to take heavier drug doses but he knew it was too dangerous. He refused but then CoNumem tried to force the treatment. Russel scaped thansk to his psinicly improved ninja skills and has been on the run since then.

Myke Byson will be participating the MMA tournement with a false name of Noa Body, a punk with lots of orange hair spikes (the only way Susan, the disguise woman, could do to make his massive afro dissapear) and lots of fake scars and tatoos to help disguise him to get under the mafia noses without calling (the bad kind of) attention.

(OOC: I'll adjust the money and spend the 40$ for the disguise).

Russel, Malk and Jojo arrive at the casino with the help of Matt and Lisa. They are wearing tuxedos to look classy, and Lisa asks if she could brush Malk's hair (your choice, Malk).

"Whoa, this place is like a hundred times cooler than anything else I ever saw." says Vincent, via radio. Vincent is already there, he reserved some seats so you can watch the fight.
And remember your mission, you have to convince Myke to join you. This might be a cake walk or very very hard, depends if the mafia can identify you and also on Myke's intentions.

The place is big and very illumitated. There are a lot of people and they're all rich and beautiful. The drinks they offer is top quality and they are playing Tony Benett now. You could attempt to gain some extra dollars here, gambling. The fight is the big show of the night, you can see the poster: The Champion vs The Mysterious Stranger. The "Champion" is a veteran kickboxer called Donnie Al Bhadil (he was adopted in the family) and the "Mysterious Stranger" is usually a unfortunate pretentious guys who will get his ass kicked by Donnie. Well, you know better that the mysterious stranger know is actually Myke, so Donnie's luck might have just ran out tonigh.

You have one hour before the fight, you can decide quickly what to do. Things like play poker, gather information, explore the environment or just chill, for example. Matt and Lisa are in the van and can give you some info from times to times.

=======================

Myke, you'll fight Donnie tonight. The crowd loves Donnie, but they would love even more the one who could finally kick his ass. However, much better than the crowd love is the opportunity to find Miagi, or at least avenge him. Right now you're in your room, preparing for the fight. You decide if you will put the whole house down or if you will go more discreet. Maybe you'll just fail, so it's important to win this fight. Donnie is a veteran and, unlike you, he excells at kicking his foes, might be weaker when Jiu Jitsu enters.

Remember everyone, you can place bets up to 1000$ in this fight. Everyone, including Vinc and Myke. (Vinc can't afford 1000$, so he bets 200$ on Myke).
After Malk and Russel decide what they will do with the hour before the fight (Vincent will just chill) the fight will begin.

Ok, investigate you actually have to collect evidences and analyse them, it takes time and an investigation kit (or you receive -4). It's not really the case now. Plus, your plan gives you +1 circunstance, in this case. This bonus aplies to skill checks as well, so I'll consider them. But they fade quickly, so all you can do with this bonus is a quick surveillance.

But you glance at the floor. First, it's huge. It's filled with a multitude of people. You three have some reknow as "criminals" and fugitives, but in such a big crowd you conclude that you are somewhat inconspicuous as long as you don't get too close to guards.

You look to the ceiling and find a good amount of cameras. It's heavily equiped with cameras, like they don't want to miss a single square meter of floor from video. Chances are that they won't people cheating (and better keep the allowed people to cheat, like thenselves). Apart from that, you see the big stairs that take you to the arena, where Myke and Donnie will fight.

Another glance and you can see a famous actress acompanied by members of the Al Bhadil. They seem high ranked. Those people entered a fancy elevator, there's a big chance that this will be the elevator that will take the winner of the fight to meet face to face members of the mafia.

A last glance and you see... Vincent.
"S'up, doc? I put your weapons beneath the ground in the men restroom of the arena (he gives you specific directions, it's a spot the reporters couple already knew for a long time). You should go there first if things get heavy. I managed to enter here with my trusty Gauderia."

He shows his sword, it's encased in a tiny sheath (it's a Hideaway weapon)
You, Russel, tell him about the situation. With the information you already had about the casino, it seems safer that Vincent uses his infiltrating skills to get to the security room (I assume you crafted chloroform before the mission, with the aid of Sheppard, the medic in the sewers, you could take 10 and craft a couple for the mission). Vinc will, if he suceed, support you from the security room if things get tough while you head to rescue Myke (again, only if things get tough).

There are guards in this floor, of course, but they don't look like a big deal except by the relatively large number. You try to think about an escape route, going through the main door is a bad idea, since it't those gyratory doors and it's ankward to escape swiftly by then. But there's a door that heads to a small area outside and in this area you can acess the sewers.

All those ideas are from Russel planning, talking with Vincent and to Matt and Lisa in the van.

So, Malk, will you do something or just chill? After you decide, it's fighting time.

Malk allows Lisa to make a bride of his hair. Coupled with his black tuxed he could pass for a high executive or even celebrity. However, Malk doesn't have good social skills soo he prefers to stay quite observing the sourrounds. He will trust Russel keen eyes and ears to do the scounting.

(question: what about our equipment been noted by guards or anybody else? And more important than that, what about the sorrounding people? Are they armed?)

If your armor is conceable, you won't find problem. Some celebrities are so paranoid that they go with a protective vest in public, in this era, those vests are confortable and discreet enough.

Most of your equip where fetched by Vincent. All the equips that you can't hold in pockets, or a briefcase, or that are obviously harmful, like grenades are either fetched or out of this mission. Explosives are out, Vinc decided not to risk.

The cameras are more to caught cheaters than dangerous individuals. So they don't get to rough to check everyone. Russel, for example, could bring his dagger with him. Your desert eagle, however, is in the restroom, along with other stuff.

Plus, whatever you're doing, you're not caughting more attention than Jojo (who't also wearing a tuxedo and consequently looking a bit hilarious). You better stay a safe distance away from Jojo for that matter.

Anyway, this part is done, so I'll ready Myke's fight.

Everyone get's to the arena, the big fight is about to start.
The narrator starts.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the fight of the night. On this side, our beloved champ, DoooOOOoooonnie... Al... BHADIL!"

The crowd goes crazy. Donnie don't waste time and start to cheer up the people.

"Who would dare chalenge the legenday champion, you ask. Well, let's discover now! On this other side we have the challenger! NOooooaAAAA... BOOOOOODYYYY!"

The reception of Myke is way less spectacular.

Since it's a small place, I won't bother drawning a map.

Here are the inits:
Myke (1d20+2)[17]
Donnie (1d20+2)[6]

Myke Byson runs toward the poor mafia boy and give him a powerful kick in his leg to make him fall on the floor and (if he suceeds) punch his face as he's getting down with a stunning jab.

Russel will be carrying a dagger, with vincen'ts help to conceal it on his tuxedo. He's also carrying 5 shurikens, 2 of them with Drow poison. he is not with his crafting stuff.

He has aso entered the cassino with a 5pp inertial armor (invisible), granting him +6 armor to AC

Remember that this is the OOC thread.

And how Drow Poison works?

Plus, try to stick with the d20 modern poisons.
There's no big problem at using 3.5 D&D poisons, though, as long as they aren't too strong and you roleplay as something modern (Like the poison being Russel's secret recipe instead of "drow", for example)

Holy crap, that's cool. (both the effect and the name)

You mean, you put that in one of your shurikens, throw it at someone, and boon, if he fails, he sleeps.
That's cool

Plus, did you noticed both Russel and Vincent use great sword and has some form of precise based damage? Like sudden strike for Russel and psionic sneak for Vinc. Those two flanking will be terrifying.

Too bad you won't be fighting along Vinc for this session too often.

Can i use the staricase as cover to allow me to hide from the guards? I'm thinking about bypassing them invisible to get in position.

then malk try to sneak while I and jojo ready an attack. if malk gets detected, we attack. if not, amlk gets in position. malk and russel ready and attack as jojo try to sneak.

both of them sneak their way upstarts and russel stays behind to lunch attacks if his firends get detected. after they are out of ranger, russel gets upstaris as well.
