So peoples, any suggestions on how to tackle the operation? We're obviously not getting very far IC due to varying levels of racism from both parties so we might as well do it here
Wood shape should let us make an opening right through the wooden part of the west wall. I can enchant Ajani's bow to be distance, allowing him to pick off guards without worry of them shooting back. Either they send out a force to deal with him (which we can then knock out or incapacitate), or they let Ajani knock them out one by one.
If they think there is a lone sniper knocking them out, they aren't likely to expect a substantial force waiting where the sniper falls back to.
We can have Kera divining every so often to assure the plan won't have any charlie foxtrots.
I could also make Gerilow's weapon merciful, don't want to ruin the peace mission.
Edwin and Raja stay back, so that if the snipers must retreat, they can fall back to where the ground forces can assist.
Dallun will provide magical support, be it spike growth to prevent a chase, Levitation to put our people on the wall, or mounts to give the snipers more mobility.

Raja wouldn't stay behind, she could always go in to try to convert the shifters, besides she would be the one to cast wood shape she is the party druid after all lol Also entangle would be a boon against guards trying to rush us. We could really attack multiple points, our lone sniper dishing out the pain, and the cleric+druid summoning random shenanigans eg celestial weasels and other assorted pint sized beings to cause general, non violent havoc

I am all for the idea of sniping. My bow is already merciful which is a big plus. Though I still like the idea of having a legion of pink weasels bringing the rain.

And so it shall be... this day will never be forgotten in the history of Thrane, the tale will be passed on from generation to generation and all will pay homage to the almighty weasel lord!

Oh god, I just had an epiphany! We need some charismatic person to plays as some crazy prophet so they can infiltrate the fort, then build up fervour amongst the general populace by proclaiming some natural disaster starting with the arrival of the pink weasels bring forth a torrent of rain or something. Once the populace begins freaking out the prophet can then give them some small shred of hope via getting them to leave the fort on some spirit journey. The remainder of the group will come in after everyone has left and get the prisoners out then the plant will sneak off into the night....

OK, I've posted an update. Who is in the scouting mission and are you leaving anyone behind? What troops are you taking, if any? You can pick up supplies in Hatheril if any are required. There's an 800gp limit on equipment not specifically related to weapons, armour of seagoing vessels. For these there is a 3000gp limit.
One important point. House Orien's charter does not allow them to transport troops across borders. They can drop you at a border and pick you up on the other side though, a somewhat ridiculously legalistic response to staying neutral. As a result the lightning rail route is normally heavily patrolled at the border though there is little in the way of any active fighting there.
Oh and Lieutenant Osprey, blustering racist that he is, is coming with you. His highly polished breastplate won't make an obvious target at all.
Where are you all in the world? I'm in England (as you can tell from my spelling no doubt) and seem to be posting when you aren't. What time zones are you in?
Also, Dallun will have used this dragonmark to quickly patch up Ironhead, healing (1d8+8)[9] damage, which should easily be enough.
Also, can I assume I got any supplies in needed (up to the limits) at this stop?

*edit* And I don't have anything particular going so I'm pretty much always available. Kera's just shy so she only speaks up when I feel it's either in-character or necessary for the game < . .>b
Kera will be going with the scouting party for certain. Her diplomacy skill might be useful, and being able to keep injured enemies alive might be VERY useful for avoiding a diplomatic explosion. >.<
I don't need supplies or anything, I may be re-doing my spell's memorized after we next rest though. Right now I've only got Summon Monster II memorized, and if we're going with the weasel plan I may need more.

I'm in the UK too. Though my free hours are erratic and often very late at night.
Edwin will be decent enough with the scouts. He has a pretty good Hide/Move Silently at least. And cantrips are always useful.

I guess we need some clarification. I understood that as 800gp and 3000gp for the group for the mission. Is that correct or is it for individual supplies?

I mean that for equipment that you want to purchase there is an 800gp maximum value on any item that you want to buy except for weapons and armour where there is a 3000gp limit. So you can't buy a handy haversack as it has a base price of 2000gp but you could buy dust of tracelessness (250gp) or +1 armour (1000gp base price). You aren't being given any money.
mistformsquirrl, only the scouting party and whichever troops you've decided to take along are in Hatheril, everyone else is stopping over in Wroat and then taking a stopping lighting rail service to Hatheril where they will meet you in a week or so. Unless you say otherwise I assume that this is all the PCs and the 20 shifters.
Why is everyone buy gear? I am an artificer. I can make the gear. For cheap. If you want something, I'll make it for 75% market price.
Heck, between my minions and magic, I can make any mundane item and any magic item I have the feat for (scroll, potion, wondrous item), next level I get arms and Armour.

It doesn't matter if we spend this money or not since I'm pretty sure we can't just pocket it and continue on. I'm spending money just for story purposes. The character sheet for Kera says he already has incense so the purchasing of that is just arbitrary as the characters are just doing things while they establish relationships... At least that's what I'm doing.
I just bought a little more incense, it's 25gp a pop and while I already had one I figured having a few more wouldn't hurt since I may not get another chance for awhile. (I wish it were a regular material component so I wouldn't need to buy it as long as I had my spell component pouch around, but alas <T_T>)
I spent 100gp out of the pot; but I can use my own money to cover it too if necessary.
---
And yeah mostly I was just going along with Ajani. Kera's very nervous around people, so anyone she can gain even a little bit of comfort around is good for her. I'm trying to moderate her stutter by her comfort level - the more nervous she is at a given moment, the worse the stutter - the hope being eventually as she comes to terms with the group and other things she'll eventually be able to drop it most of the time.

Sorry about the delay in posting. I could hardly get on the forum at all last night. All I got was the "busy" warning.
All seems well now.
Also just to clarify you haven't been given any money. The 800gp\3000gp figure were the town's spending limit on what it could supply. I hope there wasn't too much confusion.
