I tried to get an evil game going a while back and it never really got off the ground. So this is another attempt at just that. I hate demanding things from GMs but here's a few things I would like:
-D&D 3.5
-homebrew accepting (friend want to play a Unseelie Knight
-minimum 8th level
-Obviously an evil or or at least morally questionable party
-use of Dragon Magic
I'm not asking for a crazy high level bad guys rule the world sort of game. Just a good ol' game of D&D where we play the bad guys. So looking for a GM and players

Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
Hello everyone! I've actually been sitting on a fun idea for a Human Sorcerer whose power comes from a demonic curse that is slowly driving him to do evil acts... and as he quests to find a way to remove the curse, he finds it, and himself, becoming more powerful. I'm still working on the details, of course.
I'd enjoy playing as a PC in this group if there's still room.

I'd like to play as a Petal (MM III) Warlock/Hellfire Warlock, if we're allowed some free LA. Else, I'll probably be a gnome.

Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
@Eisen_Hammer: I wouldn't mind a new PbP GM. If no one else is opposed, I'd say go for it. The best way to gain experience is to practice after all. I'd caution you against allowing any powerful options like free LA, gestalt, etc. The good thing about an evil group is that they tend to be more proactive, so it is a bit less work on the DM.
Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
Well that is the thing I am a long time GM I have been GMing since I was 14, 22 now. I started with AD&D and know what I am doing. But with PBP I am kind of at a loss. But here is your sweet 16
Spoiler
1. What game system are you running (D&D, Call of Cthulu, Palladium, GURPS, etc.), and if applicable what edition (Original, Classic, Revised, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 10th, etc.)?
3.5
2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be (i.e. "Shadow Chasers" or "Agents of Psi" for d20 Modern)? What is the setting for the game (eg. historic period, published or homebrewed campaign setting, alternate reality, modern world, etc.)?
Standard fantasy
3. How many Players are you looking for? Will you be taking alternates, and if so, how many?
5-6
4. What's the gaming medium (OOTS, chat, e-mail etc.)?
These forums
5. What is the characters' starting status (i.e. experience level)?
9
6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with?
normal WBL
7. Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want? What are your rules on 'prestige' and/or homebrewed classes?
Run home brew by me.
8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? Will you allow homebrewed races or species? 'Prestige' races or species?
Once again run homebrew by me
9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points?
5d6b3
10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so?
EVIL!!
11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it?
No XP penalties.
12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? Will die rolls be altered, or left to the honor system? If players can make die rolls, which ones do they make, how should they make the rolls, and how should they report them?
Players will be make their own rolls. I might do some rolls for players (EX. Saving throws, spot, listen. Things of that nature.)
13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? If so, list and explain them, or provide relevant links to learn about these new rules.
You can drop one ability score to 8 and raise one to 20. 2 Flaws/traits max. LA buyoff
14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular (i.e. the backgrounds all ending up with the characters in the same city)?
Background required, does not have to be a mid term but more than a few sentences.
15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above?
Roleplaying>Hack & Slash>Puzzle solving
That is the order
16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material? What sources can Players use for their characters?
Dragon counts as homebrew run it by me.

Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
Ok, here are my stat rolls:
Spoiler
[roll0]
[roll1]
[roll2]
[roll3]
[roll4]
[roll5]
Here's what I want from homebrew/Dragon:
Spoiler
Knowstones (Dragon #333): These little beauties allow you, a sorcerer, to cast the spell they're attuned to as if you knew it. They cost (spell level)^2*1000 and cannot be used to learn spells not normally on your list, but still rock.
EDIT: Bleagh, ok still trying to figure out how the roller works. THIS should come out as stat rolls:
Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
Alright, a DM. Here we go: (5d6b3)[14] (5d6b3)[13] (5d6b3)[14] (5d6b3)[12] (5d6b3)[14] (5d6b3)[12]
The only homebrew im asking for is Unseelie Knight. Also, one small thing, but in that class, could I replace Fey Blood with Fey Heritage, as the link is broken for me. Sounds like it would be pretty similar though.
Edit: Good, a nice rounded stat-line. If Unseelie Knight is a go, then im thinking Druid 3/Sword Sage 4/Unseelie Knight 2.

Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
I'm looking at a Paladin of Tyranny (paladin varient). Currently deciding my race. I will be the party tank so don't worry about that at all
Stats (5d6b3)[17] (5d6b3)[16] (5d6b3)[11] (drop to 8) (5d6b3)[14] (5d6b3)[11] (raise to 20) (5d6b3)[11]

Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
Binding Pact sounds perfect to me, and it is the perfect sort of thing to hold an evil party together.

Ah, that makes sense.

Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
Hey! I'm posting interest as a Drow Witch of sorts.
I'm still working out the details, but here are my rolls.
(5d6b3)[14] (5d6b3)[9] Reduced to [8] (5d6b3)[15] (5d6b3)[13] (5d6b3)[16] (5d6b3)[12] Increased to [20]
As for the LA buyoff, are we allowed to reduce XP as if we had bought off LA at the earliest level possible? If so, then, if my calculations are correct, my Drow would have 29k xp and have 7 class levels... I think.
Also, does anyone know which book incantrix is in?

As an aside, I was considering taking Leadership and having a sorcerer co-hort (i don't think I'd get any followers though, since those are a pain). what are our thoughts on this?

Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
Not a huge fan of leadership with a big enough party but that is at table top. So if you want take it I want a bio on cohort also. I don't think it will slow this down to much.
Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
I've never played in a Faerun game before, but iv'e played enough Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate to be passingly familiar with things. So im fine with it if we do. Any setting is fine with me really.
Re: Game of the Evils [Recuiting Players and a GM]
Hm, okay, I think I'll leave leadership off the table then. If we'll have a good-sized party there's no need to clutter it up with a cohort. Instead I'll just take Improved Familiar and get an Imp who will provide the same roleplay opportunities without messing things up in combat.
