I figured that Cosmic Decrees made the power exist in the first place, and then Legendary Concepts let your race use them. If you make a Legendary Concept about torturing souls to drain their power without a cosmic decree making souls a thing, it's useless. If you just make the cosmic decree, nobody's going to be using those souls apart from the gods. Same for atoms/nuclear energy, and etcetc.

So, does my Elemental Mastery apply to my Relics as well? Can my Cthonian use Forge Land with the 2AP I believe it has to spend on the action its designed to do, or is it limited to Create Land?

I actually have a couple of questions about that Cthonian:

1. Would it actually be a relic, or Legendary Life?

2. Either way, since it's living and not a god, wouldn't it not be immortal unless you spent extra AP to exempt it from my decree?

Well

1. I made it so it can create more of the Underdark, which requires AP, so a legendary race wouldn't be able to do it, plus it is a unique being like a Terrasque or something. I might at some later point make some beings LIKE the Cthonian, but even if they look exactly like it (Except for size) the Cthonian is unique.

2. I'm going to say that mechanically, since its a Relic it doesn't apply, and thematically/fluff wise, the Cthonian was created using Barrabus' own divinity and, although an intelligent individual living being, is divine/part of him, so it is exempt from the immortality thing.

A mod can agree or disagree with this of course, but this is my take on it.

I agree with this. L_A and I have already had words about this, and I approved it. Considering it is unique, and its only purpose (at least for now.. but any further changes that could be game-breaking, PM a mod) is to spread the Underdark, it is fine as a Relic.

I think that's reasonable for a Relic... you could also infuse it with a Vestige, and double that to 4 squares a week.

On its own that would take 83 weeks for it to cover the world, and it will take 7 weeks to link the two continents' Underdarks if left on its own.

Actually it looks like there's 140 squares. Regardless my suggestion would be to reduce the cost of forge land by 1 for the relic solely for creating the underdark. Vestige it and that would allow you to rapidly convert the whole planet.

Oooh, Idea. You can use the Cthonian to reduce Alter/Create/Forge Land AP costs by 1, when using it for the underdark. This would stack with your Elemental Mastery.

It occurs to me

A. How many times are you allowed to do something for 0AP. If I wanted, given infinite attempts, I could use my Elemental Mastery to just make the whole underdark 1 Alter Land at a time at 0AP a pop. Which would obviously be crazy.

B. If something costs 1AP and I have 2 things that reduce AP cost by 1, do I get an AP back every time I do it?

A. I'd say a maximum of four or five times per week.

B. No, minimum cost is 1 AP.

That said, I might spend some AP to expand the Underdark, if my Dark Elves decide to go down there.

My suggestion would be you can use 0AP moves infinite times as long as the net result does not turn into another action (Alter land could be used until the result would be considered a create land action. Create land could be used but not go over or be equal to a forge land action.)

Edit: And no using negatives for AP gain.

Assuming both were 0, 3 alter lands and 1 create land (7, just below forge land.)

Well I mean if I could use Forge Land at 0AP could I use it twice, or would I have to use 1 and then 3 alter lands. Making it so it you have to cut out 1 less than the one higher up limits the uses.
