Clement is one sexy monk. Still prefer the pics you all posted though.
Most of the games I've been in have avoided the die roll being limited for first impression rule, but if you all prefer it, we can use it. Makes sense.
That said, Dancrilis I think Charisma+ Etiquette works better, but no real harm here. I have a fairly liberal interpretation of the rules,s o long as you can justify your action. I'll write up a response to you in a little bit. For now all I'll say is you favorably impressed a few of the guests, but by no means all.
Spoilers about Giovanni inside this spoiler snippet, do not look unless you already know about the character.
Spoiler
Knowing that we're doomed for vampirism, and that we, OOC know that Giovanni is a douchebag diablierist, and all the telling hints that are thrown in by the GM, it's hard to post seriously instead of in a way that's seemingly joining in the celebration of madness before the final chomp.

Um... I didn't know ***EDITED FOR POSTERITY***. Thanks much.

Are my hints concerning Giovanni too much? He's a very smug fellow, and he does kind of enjoy making all these innuendos that your characters would have no way of knowing. But if people think I'm laying it on a bit thick, I'll try and tone it down.
As for Giovanni's nature, part of the game is deciding if you are an ally or an enemy of him. If I do my job well, hopefully it will be a tough choice for some of you.
Personally, no, I found the whole train into damnnation pretty fun as a player because I know what's coming. I just didn't give thought that another player might not be aware of something I thought was common knowledge. (obviously I was wrong)

When you say "douchebag diablerist," are you referring to his calculated om-nom-excision of the Cappadocian bloodline, or just a tendency to diablerize in general?

I'm assuming the first. It's why I'm finding this part of the chronicle to be so surreal and kinda fun in a I-can't-escape-the-doomed-fate-before-us kinda way. Know what I mean?

Hmmm, I assumed it was pretty common knowledge amongst WoD players. Genuinely sorry about that.

Don't know about that.
Spoiler
Without knowing what was initially wrote and just using the spoiler above it would depend on if it was intended to be Augustus or Claudius because given the place in the game I would have assumed that you were referring to Claudius which if he is a diablerist would not as far as I know me anywhere near common knowledge.
It's on the White Wolf wiki page, and since Augustus is Claudius' sire, it's a fair supposition that he would follow in dear Papa's footsteps. (He totally did, diablerizing the Cappadocian antediluvian's childe in 1444) The info on this is probably in the VtM clan book (so not really common knowledge). I tried to confirm, but then Marianna's name popped up and I was like, "CAMPAIGN SPOILERS!"
I'm sure things will work out as well, but really, based on the descriptions and Andrei's skill set and limitations, what did you expect would happen? It was either trying to have a conversation with the only other person in the room who has similar interests to him, or find the nearest potted plant to hide behind.
Which given Giovanni's heritage, is probably hard to come by.

And I have learned yet again that spoiler tags could be called schmuck bait tags.
Do not look into the schmuck bait unless you are able to deal with feeling like a schmuck.
Spoiler
Feeling like this due to the year the campaign is set in.
Unless my lovely players have an objection, I'm thinking all of you will end up in the clans you originally wanted. Dimitri has noticed Andrei though, and don't be surprised if there's not a bit of competition for him in undeath.
As for spoilers, ack! Don't be too stressed if you've seen them though. GC does deal with some events of the meta plot, and Claudius's goal will be revealed shortly. I can promise that the characters are allowed to have an impact on things. Just because some things went one way in the metaplot does not necessarily mean they will here. Really depends on what your characters decide to do.
Nyarai, great work on the spreadsheet. I was hoping someone would make one (says the technophobe.) Have an extra xp for your trouble.
Edit: and yeah, I only described 12 guests. We were maybe supposed to get another player, so I wanted to leave Marchettus's space open. Jurgen is actually Violetta's companion.

Two quick questions. First, what language is Dmitra speaking, and second, where is she vis-a-vis Al-Nasir? I'm thinking just in my mind's eye that Andrei was not facing our friendly neighborhood Assamite, which means he couldn't have seen/heard the first part of his conversation with Dmitra.

No objection, but if you want to stick her somewhere else I have no objection to that either (except nosferatu as while it would be a normally incredible writing opportunity the pure malice I would see in her if this happened could be disturbing. She would react badly to say the least).

Agreed, feel like doing the players again?

For the sake of simplicity, all the guests will be speaking the language your character is most comfortable with, at least for now. Considering Andrei's unique situation, I'd say Dimitra is speaking Greek, so he may just get the impression that she is amused by something. I'd also say she is in front of Andrei, meaning he probably can't see Al-Nasir. He'll likely know the man said something though, since Dimitra shoots a jealous look in the direction of the Turk.
Post coming soon.Written the intro's for about seven of you. Got called away unexpectedly, but I'm back now and will finish up.
Edit: Did not even see the pictures! Well done. As with Clement, they're in the GC book, but I'd prefer to see what you guys come up with. I think most of them are actually dead on. I'm curious if any of them will change during the story.

Thanks. By necessity Andrei's pretty adept at putting the pieces together, but I needed to be sure what is text and what is subtext for my post to work.
As a side note, every time I've tried to follow up so far, I keep getting mentally derailed by this playing over and over in my head. I will do my best to fix this.
All right. I have stared into the abyss that is deviantArt and returned with some pictures that look sort of like your dudes. dA is the home of pictures mostly containing
-Females
-Between the ages of 16-22
-That are white as the driven snow
-And wear ridiculously impractical clothing
Adam
The search for a nobleman in his thirties with red hair made me want to exterminate all the gingers. Eventually I recolored some photo.
Spoiler
Alenka
Came across this picture while looking for NPCs. Too awesome not to share.
Spoiler
Andrei
Thought this dude looked pretty good, but mostly I just didn't want to have to look through a million pictures of Chris Hemsworth.
Spoiler
Benghi
Probably too young and too pale, but all the sailors were Japanese schoolgirls, all the smugglers were from space, and all the pirates were buxom babes in tricorner hats.
Spoiler
Isabella
This one, of course, was easy and depicts a perfect frickin' angel. Do try not to let it go to your head.
Spoiler
Luca
Same dude as before.
Spoiler
Seth
Got no description, so voila. Egyptian dude.
Spoiler
Solland
This one is awesome. Maybe a liiiittle too short, but just pretend the rock is bigger.
Spoiler
Stefan
Best I could do, unless Stefan likes those plague doctor masks with the bird beaks.
Given the time-period and that Galileo and Nicolaus Copernicus won't be around for another century, am I able to respond to Lord Valdemars question with "It doesn't. The earth spins." ?

Spoiler
Ha, I still haven't finalised Isabella's age in my head, that picture is supposedly sixteen based on the link so it does certainly have an element of the ageless quality that I wanted her to have (she appears as the age she feels appropriate based on social situation using facial expression, body language etc).
