Default Sluggy Freelance

I'm afraid I lost track of the current plot arc in Sluggy Freelance. Could someone please enlighten me who is attacking what now with those REA's, and why? Thanks!

Umm...Heretti Corps (Spelling?) is attacking Crushtro, who is one of Torg's allies in his attempt to destroy HC and save the world from a dystopian, and oppressive future should they manage to take over. They're minor characters who don't really matter much honestly.

Wow, I'm amazed that the comic is still ongoing, and that people are still reading it. I stopped reading like forever years ago.

I am the only one here invested in these characters?
I'm worried about Crushy and Monicruel, as supervillains go Ifind them likeble. And even through the alliance is dissolved for now, they could ally again against Herety Corp someday.

I'm pretty much reading out of sheer inertia now. I've forgotten quite a bit of what happened several years ago in the comic, and the archive is far too large for me to even consider going back.

I'm invested in Theresa. Crushy is just a 1 dimensional villain. Honestly, he's hung around far longer than I ever expected him to. I don't think we've seen enough of Monicruel for me to be invested in her.

I usually enjoy the comic when it's focused on the main core characters*. But most of the side characters and anything too plot-heavy is a total wash. The comic has too many caked-on layers of nonsense; it can only be serious at a character level, not a plot level.

* Except Bun-bun, who is terrible.

The thing about Sluggy is, EVERY character hangs around forever. I mean, look at Minion Master.

Is that slasher girl with the sword still around? What about Alee?

Aylee is still active but she hasn't been on screen in years. By "slasher girl" I assume you mean Oasis. Last we saw she was dead, but she has a tendency to get better.

Sluggy is probably my favorite web comic. However, I'm perfectly willing to admit that that's at least partially because I have so much invested in it.

Pretty sure both of them are still around, just not in the current arc.

If you're talking about *Oasis*, then she is definately still around, we're all waiting to see when she'll next pop up.
