It might not look ideal on paper but from play experience I definitely enjoyed that character.

I still prefer Soracle minionmancers though
Sorc4/Oracle4/MT2 undead master (both classes cl boosted by 2) 72hd of skelly/zombies
leadership
cohort sorc4/oracle4/mt 1 (same) 64hd of minions

both can summon, plus all your leadership goombies

It doesn't matter if the goombies die, thats just more undead components

Once you start getting a dozen magical things active at once and have a lot of options is when it gets fun. Undead is a good idea too since it's more spells used outside of combat (exploiting spells/day), and you can buff them in ways that a cleric cannot (exploiting versatility). While emergency healing can be ok option #74, I wouldn't build a focused healer around a theurge.

You get a separate animate dead pool by each class that can cast it in Pathfinder?

For both 3.5 and PF it depends how you interpret "you can control only 4 HD worth of undead creatures per caster level". Regardless I was pushing for getting as many different ongoing spells as you can, stackable or not.

the caster level's are separate and the wording of the spell suggests yes

in most cases it would be a minimal issue, this is the only cheesey use of it that I know of

I'm starting to think just a straight up Metal Oracle is probably the best way to go now. That's pretty simple to make, right? Focus on CHA for spells and INT for skills and Spellcraft checks?

If you get Defiant Luck & Inexplicable Luck, INT for Spellcraft may be overkill. You may want it for skill points of course, Metal oracles get all the social skills.
