Since we time skipped, I decided to pick my own wand (Actually I took the wand quiz on pottermore with Liz's mindset.) and got this:
12 1/2 in
Wood: Ebony
Core: Dragon
Flexibility: Supple
Also for broomstick, I think Liz would have picked up a really basic and cheap one. She has a "meh" mindset on flying.
For pet I was wondering if you would allow her to take her family's pet ferret named Uric (name based on the famous wizard Uric the Oddball.)
(I picked a ferret because I can see her practicing transfiguration on the poor little fellow, and at times having hilarious results.)
...Also I decided to edit her history a little. Instead of being homeless, she lives a very independent life with her sickly grandmother, whom she takes care of. Also I think her family would be poor rather than moderate, and this outcome is based on the fact that her family lost the majority of their wealth when her fathers secret was outed (At least the Meyers side did).
Here is the section I updated.
Spoiler
Life after her parent’s death was hard for Liz, as she was now known as a murderous werewolf's daughter. For the following year, her Aunt and Uncle's, not wanting to be associated with the incident, often passed her off to one another until she ended up moving in with her sickly grandmother (father's side) whom she started to take care of. She shares a special bond with her grandmother, and loves her very much. With her fathers secret revealed, many wizard's began to look upon the Meyer last name with disgust, and slowly the family's wealth began to dwindle. With her grandmother making barely enough to survive, Liz was forced to take odd-at-end jobs, so that she could help pay for rent and food. When Liz first received her Hogwart's letter, she wasn't sure if she was going to go, as she didn't want to leave her grandmother's side, but her Grandmother refused to let her stay and threatened to "petrify and carry Liz to the train station herself". Feeling both a little guilty and excited, Liz agreed to go.
At hogwart's Liz wants to study "Cross-species transformations" and perhaps figure out a way for werewolves to stay in control once they turn (of course this dream will not be fulfilled, but perhaps she can play a part in the creation of the Wolfsbane Potion).
Once she graduates I can see her either becoming a werewolf right's advocate/Auror and working directly for the ministry, or I can foresee her attempting to reopen her parents shop, and continuing her research.
With both options I can still see her attempting to prove her parent's innocence by finding the real serial killer and exposing him/her.
Of course, all future goals are subject to change based on the story.
Sorry for all of the changes, I just think that these character adjustments would make more sense in Liz's character development.
The classic cat. As for broom...probably something that is decent quality, but not sports worthy. The equivalent of an economy car. Good for travel, not really for quiddich. Maria is a girl who's more into spending her time in her room studying, or experimenting WITH SCIENCE! (the Spoony Experiment has ruined my ability to say that line without drama).
And before anyone says otherwise, YES, magic in Harry Potter is a science. It clearly follows basic rules of some kind, since the same spell does the same thing every time. Clearly it can be studied and analysed, with the whole school thing. In fact there seems to be almost no "chaos" magic in Harry Potter, where the magic's effects are random, unless you're using a broken wand, and even those seemed to be more likely to backfire than produce random effects.
I think you copied over Edward's calander onto mine. I also note that apparently I'm still getting 8 hours of sleep even though I only need 6. Is that on purpose?
Edit: wait nevermind, there are 2 22:00, if you make the other one 23:00 to 24:00 I'm only getting 6. I'll make the name and time corrections and fill it out.
Edit: "Study what I study least" refers to what I have spent the least amount of time on. I'll probably go back and calculate what my hours are actually spent on later, but for now I have a date to catch. Sorry!

Was not that way before. Don't know what happened.
EDIT: Looks like you fixed it. Almost erased the whole thing.
Thank you. Phew. Almost lost all my hard work.
Edit: Alright I added something more to my schedule! Namely a few rows to help me keep track of how many hours I'm spending on each subject. I hope that's okay?
Also is it just me, or is Maria going to have like no social life?

And just so you guys know, eventually you'll have to specify what in each subject you're studying. There's the general skill level, but then also the subskills/spells within each discipline. If you run out of space in a time block, just make the font smaller.
The more specific the better. Are you studying with a partner or by yourself? Are you studying in your room, the library, the great hall, or outside? If you're practicing a spell, what are you practicing on? Are you spending time trying to find other spells/skills to study, or going with what they're teaching in class? Feel free to resize the calendar as much as you want, as long as I can still read and navigate it.

Are you going to be telling us what the subskills are?
I can't really tell you "how" I'm studying until I start getting other characters and roleplaying up. Ideally I'd be studying with the teachers in extra credit, but I get the feeling that's not going to be happening unless I get VERY high grades. So likely I'll be studying alone, unless someone finds the ubernerd attractive.
Are you going to be telling us what the subskills are?
Your general skills/aptitudes are the subjects at the top of the right section of your character sheet. Each of these have 20 ranks, and an amount of experience toward the next level listed below them.
The subskills are the things beneath these subjects. More will get added as you have classes and increase either your aptitude or other subskills. For example, learning enough about Pruning and having a high enough general Herbology score, you'll gain access to Planting, which also falls under the Herbology umbrella. Once you have the prerequisites, you can either wait for the basics to be taught in your Herbology class, or you can spend some time doing the research yourself. This effectively lets you spend some time to get subskills and spells earlier than you normally would.
There are also some subskills and (especially) spells that won't be taught in class, either because they weren't deemed as useful, or because the teachers thought they were too difficult.

You certainly have put a lot of thought into this campaign. I like you.
