Hey everyone, do y'all want to sit around ye olde playground tm. and talk about the awesome costumes you all have planned for Halloween or have used for past Halloweens?
I thought so. Well here is your place to do it.
I'll start:
This year I'm working on a mad scientist costume. Trying to pull off the evil *finger wiggle* look.
I think the best costume from my youth was a homemade Marill costume. Yes the blue pokemon. So much face paint.
So what about your guys? What's planned for this year? What did you do previous years?
Dressing up for Halloween isn't so much of a thing here, but last year we had a superhero-themed costume party. There aren't any photos, sadly (they were all destroyed by command of one of the guests). I went as the Comedian (avec moustache); another friend came as Bicycle Repair Man, which was an effective low-budget costume, if a little injokey.
I'm still trying to get my Scottish Caveman pictures from last year. I eventually got forced into a shirt though after they wrestled me down.
Two years before that I was a serial killer, can't remember the name now, mostly as a result of the creepy jumpsuit I acquired. I think I later switched it over to a vaguely steampunk Igor, but sadly have no pictures of that or the earlier one in action.
Briefly considered bearded hula dancer but decided against it, so I'll spare you all those photos.
Year before that I was Vincent Vega from Pulp fiction.
Can't remember what I was two years ago or if I did anything or what I did the year before Vincent Vega. I think I was a Knight in duck-tape banded mail at some point two or three years before the Vega costume though.
I can never decide what to be for Halloween. I love dressing up too much, and if I do come upon a theme I like, the problem is that I'd need between 1 and 4 other people to cooperate for the theme to properly be played out. :/ None of my friends like that kind of long-term commitment though.
Spoiler
I'm currently wondering what to do this year between all of the spare stuff I have, like the horned helmet, the camo pants, the olive drab fatigue jacket, the blue robe and cowl with a silver triangle on front, the black robe and cowl, the graduation robe and mortarboard, the two labcoats (one with faded bloodstains, the other not), the "vampire" semi-translucent black cape, the various trenchcoats and trilbys/stetsons/fedoras around the house, the pinstripe suit, the sky blue suit, the cobbled-together late 70s/brazillian fusion leisure "suit" ensemble.
I guess there's also the Ushanka. The horse femur is a bit too cumbersome and potentially a weapon to really go anywhere with as a prop, unfortunately, though it was pretty good with my long hair for the brief photo shoot I did last halloween.
Spoiler
I suppose I could see if there's still a wig or get a feminine haircut/styling and go as a bearded lady by borrowing that green sequined serpentine dress? Probably would have to borrow a lot of makeup, enough that I'd have to sit down and draw up a plan of action with her though. Or annoy the LGBTA thread/Kneenibble and OD on tutorial links of interest if I shaved everything off.
Don't think I've really lost enough weight for that though, haha. x.x Who'd've thought I was 50 pounds overweight when I thought I was only about 20 or so. I mean, other than the BMI which I figured was bogus anyway.
Or maybe the problem is that I just acquire so many pieces of costumes that it seems silly to set out to construct an entirely new one from the ground up?
Edit: Oh, and how could I forget the two old gas masks that I haven't really figured out how to wear and be able to breath in and I can't combine with my glasses and I don't have any contacts so they're not really options except as a weird form of necklace or hat.

My two year old is going as a pink fluffy monster, a la 'Sully' from Monsters Inc.
Aw.
What are you going to do with yours? Apparently trick or treating is dead so I'm thinking of taking mine to a church carnival. Which is not cool enough but you know these troubled times and all.

We're going to take her to the local zoo for zooboo! They have animals out, trick or treating, games, costume contest, hay rides, candy, dolphin show, elephant rides... that sorta thing.

Back in high school I made a makeshift Vault 13 Suit and did a pretty good (in my opinion) costume of TF2's scout. Probably no pics because all of them have my friends in them and I don't have a photo editor on my laptop.

[Sorry, Boss, but now, as always, I get the last word.]
I have a variety of costumes for the various events. For the costume-beer-pong-tournament, I dressed... thusly:
Spoiler
Spoiler
I have another event tonight that I have a different costume for, and I have a 3rd epic costume, and I may salvage and mix-and-match bits of the different costumes for other events.
The girlfriend and I are dressing up as Dark Lily and Darkness, respectively, from the OLD movie LEGEND. I might not be quite as sexy as Tim Curry, but darn it, I have a massive headset of shiney black and red 2 feet long horns. I'll post pictures after tonight. Going to a big Halloween party. Last year, I won the costume contest for best overall with my awesome Goblin King Jareth costume. This year, I hope one of us can win again.

Last Halloween my fiance, her friend and myself went as characters from the 3.5 handbook. We were the rogue, the druid and the cleric respectively and it took a while to make our costumes (especially mine... I had to make over a thousand cardboard diamonds so I could individually sew them onto a modified lab coat to make it even closely resemble plate mail) In the end we looked pretty good but that was a ridiculous amount of effort. I have pics on facebook but I am currently at work.

Sadly, I don't have pics yet because the event is yet to happen, but I am going to dress as Uchiha Obito(Tobi version, not Kakashi Gaiden version) at the Halloween event the political campaign I work for is holding. That's right, I'm going to make political calls dressed as a Naruto villain. Unfortunately, I don't think anybody there will know who I am but I don't care. If I do get pics from the event I may post them up here.
I got this one from descriptions of the acclaimed 'world's scariest haunted house'.
1. Get empty staple gun.
2. Go to a place with lots of people you don't know.
3. Vacantly staple your hand.

Is that the Fifth Doctor menacing you with a cricket ball? He was pretty handy, as I recall.
It is! :D, he also brought his own dry ice to put in his liquor and drinks so they bubbled magically. :P

I'm at work dressed up as the Fourth Doctor today. Scarf, wig, etc. And here's the weird thing, about five minutes ago I get an email on my phone. It's Amazon.com, offering me the latest deals on Jelly Babies. Seriously.
I'm sure I must have searched for those at some point in the past, or maybe the site noticed me looking for the requisite scarf and Jelly Babies appear on the "also bought" list of people who buy those, but it still felt weird. I'm trying to convince myself that Amazon doesn't have a spy satellite that noticed what I was wearing.
