Did Amon happen to take a shower during the blackout in her memory? If not, she hasn't bathed in about 3 days. Also do i wake up in the gear I lost consciousness in - as in, am i wearing a bathrobe or whatever else rich people wear when they're sleepy, or do i still have my body armour on?

Isn't that one of the things you should decide? It's something regarding your own character that doesn't really warrant GM interference...I mean, if you want Amon to smell as though she hadn't showered in 3 days that's up to you.

She's wearing her normal sleep wear. Does she chose to take a shower?
Bad: Ordinarily, yes. But I apparently got knocked out or something, so it's a bit hard to tell what Amon does when i'm not watching her - she's a tricky customer.
ZN: Depends, do you mean before or after waking up? If it's after, then no, she'll just hope to take a quick shower between this fight's end and the mission's start, seeing as how if she stayed behind to shower at the start, she'd outright miss the fight. If it's before, I guess.. do what comes naturally, and even Orochimaru would appreciate a shower after being made to walk through that much dirt.
Did the clocks just go back? Or am I just REALLY sick tonight? I think I'll turn in.
Amon has one more dramatic thing to fit into the conversation before she leaves, but it'll have to wait for morning on my end

I wouldn't object to Yousuke getting solo XP for that fight. He'll need it to make up for some stuff anyway, such as not being able to perform today's mission *tease*

That's lame. I think XP should be tackled by challenge not necessarily danger. After all one can gain XP just by succeeding in diplomatic missions - missions where they probably were in little to no physical danger
I guess you did go really easy on him though, so.. OH I remembered some dialogue, let me edit it in before I FINALLY SLEEP

If you're on a diplomatic mission and fail, then there's the danger of being unemployed.
If Yousuke had lost, then his life would have continued albeit not inside Soragakure.
We failed the first because we were up against a bunch of scary missing nin and had a special jounin who never told us anything so we were mostly in the dark for the entire night.
We actually succeeded in the second mission though.
Check the Learn DC as well as the number of successes needed listed on the jutsu.
Your learn bonus is Level + Governing Ability Score Modifier + Any Relevant Modifiers. (5 ranks in the skill you're learning grant you a +2 synergy bonus to learn checks)
Every day you spend training you get to make 1 Learn attempt. This attempt is split into 2 four hour blocks. You lose 10% of your chakra for every hour you spend training. You learn the technique after you spend the required time training and have met the number of successes needed for its acquisition.
The number of days it takes you to learn is the jutsu's rank times the number of attempts you need to make. So a Rank 4 technique requiring 3 attempts would take you 12 days to learn minimum.
However, you can decrease training time if you beat the Learn DC by 5 or 15. Beating it by 5 decreases the total time needed by 1/2.
So if you beat the DC by 5 every time you make an attempt, the progression for learning the above jutsu would be something like this:
Day 1: 1/12
Day 2: 2/6
Day 3: 3/3
Beating it by 15 probably won't come up but if it does, it lowers the time by 3/4.

And I know you've explained it at least once before, but can you go over training again? I mean to learn a new technique.
Roll Level+Primary Attribute Modifier+Misc Modifiers vs the technique's Learn DC. You have to beat the DC a number of times equal to the number of successes necessary to learn.
I.E: A technique with a Learn DC of 15 and 3 successes requires you to beat DC 15 3 times.
Explained much better by Bad Situation.
