Okay subscribed. I am thinking we should head out to the orcs now. Mithril doesn't really want to stay near the cave and we should be able to catch them before they leave.
We are awesome. And I say we go move on to the orcs as well; we'll tell Max about everything we found once we get back. I don't think he knew this guy though; he did say he never found the cavern.
Was there anything else of note in the first room of the cave?

Shiny, not sure Miriam is in the mood to talk to Shiny seriously. She sees him as a court jester and would never confide to him as long as she perceives him as being a shallow liar.

Lowest Move Silently ends up being Shiny with an 8.
Lowest Hide ends up being Kurt at an 8.
Highest Move Silently ends up being Natalia with a 19.
Highest Hide ends up being Natalia with a 19.
Hmm...Maybe we should split up just a little bit? Those with the lowest stealth scores go in one group and those with the highest stealth scores go in the other? We stay within eyeshot and earshot of each other so we can get to each other quickly if we have to, but it'll lower the probability of the whole group being ambushed--and we can ambush them right back!
I'd rather not split up (it'll be hard to stay in eyeshot and earshot if we're trying to be hidden and quiet anyway). Getting ambushed isn't a big deal (since we're hoping to find some orcs to kill anyway, and since I believe it is daylight), but if only half our party gets ambushed that would be a big deal, since we'd be less equipped to deal with them.

Actually, I think it's more important if just the stealthy group knows where the less stealthy group is at all times than vice-versa. I think Natalia, Valen, and probably Mithril will be in the stealthy group and their Spot and Listen checks are high enough to know where the not-stealthy group is at all time. If they get ambushed it should be easy for the stealthy group to hop right into action--and if the stealthy group is ambushed then they can just alert the less stealthy group with a shout. That may not even be necessary; Miriam rolled well enough on Spot to beat Natalia's Hide score.
I just think this'll make the high stealth skills more useful and those with the low stealth skills less of a liability. Remember Roy and Durkon from the beginning of the comic?
Stay in the back, Sir Clanks-A-Lot. Maybe we can actually get some experience today.
Natalia might be the right one to split off. If there's an ambush, she can sneak up and flank into a sneak attack.
Valen is a possibility, but it would probably be good to have both fighters in whatever group gets ambushed. Though that would give him a chance to cast mage armor.

There are safety in numbers, but to use effective stealth, you have to run solo most times.
Ah, concerns about durability though...At least she's got 22 hit points. Hm, as long as I stay within eyeshot of Miriam (and therefore the rest of the group) I'll probably be okay.
I am never a big fan of splitting the party. It never ends well. It is ok for a rogue and ranger to do recon but splitting is not good.
I think that after nearly losing her crush, Natalia would be more concerned about splitting.
She's be more concerned about Mithril splitting off by herself, but you've got a point. And by splitting I meant recon this whole time; Natalia's not going to be more than 20-30 feet away from rest of the group; they can get to each other and attack in one round.
