I cannot play Shiny. I cannot do happy go lucky super charismatic character. I can do dark, conflicted, basic, mysterious but Shiny. No way.
Coffee, I am sure you did better than you think you did.

Or the otehr option is I simply summarize the encounter??
I'll try to play Shiny, though right now I have a crapton of work due...tomorrow that I haven't even started. I should be able to post in about 45 minutes though.
As for how the exam went? Best case scenario? Everyone failed.
Yeah, only reason I have slow posting is because Mithril isn't doing much atm and I have been rushing around. I went to two lectures that professors where giving to help decide if they would be hired to teach the organic chem class. The school wanted student input and I got extra credit for chem. Both of them had to give a lecture on enols and enolates. I was completely lost, but I was asked to look at their styles of teaching and confidence levels. They were very different.
Who is saying let's give up on this game? If we drop a few players, I know a few good posters who we could try to recruit.
But I don't wanna drop the players! We've got a great dynamic going and I only want to drop someone as a last resort.
Besides, it's only been a day; most PbPs would kill to have our schedule.
Two completely random things: I should be able to work on the sprites today, and do you think we should post battle music? Or themes for each character?

I don want to drop people either.
So if it is only a day, why are you so freaked out?
It's great, but I'm not sure that the ogre hatred will still be left if the charm wears off. What might alternatively work is if we convince him to go warn everyone about the ogre attacks while he's still under the charm.

And tell them to put off Linwood...That might work. But what happens then when the charm wears off?
We might have to hand over the masterwork armor. I don't want to hand him a weapon though.
No way can a sentry tell the orcs to put off their attack. The best he can do is spread rumors and misinformation. (Though we might need an illusion, otherwise when people ask how he knows, all he can say is "the nice humans, dwarf and gnome outside told me").

Hm...We'll have to put our heads together on this. Using an Illusion would be really helpful though. Dead ogre just behind us as Valen presents his gear?

Why are we giving him gear?
Dead ogre wouldn't scare him. I'm thinking ghost sound and silent image for an ogre attack.

No, I mean we show the orc the gear we took off the dead ogre for proof that we had to fight them. And how would we make a sudden image of an ogre attack convincing? I do think an image of a dead ogre near his den, that we managed to kill, would be very convincing. The orcs are smarter (and I really do think less bloodthirsty) than ogres; we can reason with them. All we've got to do is convince them that humans, who are just living on their land, aren't nearly as much of a danger as ogres, who will eat them.
