Ah the immature male player shooting others in the crotch! PAintball can bring the worse fraternities type behavior from otherwise normal decent guys.
Miriam won't even think it is an illusion. She is too busy making sure no one dies. And she has no idea what the blueness in the ogres mean.
No, it was an accident. Still hurted like a bitch though. I ended up yelling at them, "Girls have nerves there too; they're just smaller and less exposed!"
And Natalia identified them for you. Now understanding her is another question. Will we have time to at least take the weapons off these orcs so nobody else can use them? This is our only chance at WBL!
Honestly Achinca, I'm not sure why the orc was watching. I think he might be scrying on us...But...Damn, I just don't know. I don't know this game well enough!
How about Shiny throws up an obscuring mist then starts moving away, then everyone else maybe take a single action, then starts moving away. That would give Kurt fair odds at killing the Orc and probably get us away free and clear.
Hey, if they are an illusion, I still don't want to hand around and find out. Especially since there have got to me many many more Orcs on their way, and at least one out in the woods near us similar to the one that nearly killed two of us.
As to Achinca's hierarchy question, I can't tell. It isn't necessarily a hierarchy, the hooded one may be operating independently. Remember, you do not have all of the information. This is intentional and forces you guys to figure some stuff out. I promise you guys, all of the pieces are there(along with alot of other stuff I add in to keep you guys guessing and make it challenging) and when those pieces fit together you guys will understand how everything that has been happening is more or less tied together.
You've already put 5 orcs down, probably a 6th, 3 of which will be leveled Orcs. Not a bad days work if you ask me.
Yeah, I don't think we have time to loot the corpses at all and I doubt we have time to finish off the 3 orcs before they get down from there, or the other 6 arrive (don't forget them!).
As to why he came instead of them, the answer might be as simple as he was the only one who had the means; teleportation, possibly, or illusions.

This is a pretty good take on the situation.
Its been around a minute, no more than two since the alarm was sounded the first time. It takes time to mobilize. The answer is more logistics than intent or hierarchy.
Edit: I wonder why Admiral didn't post for Shiny when he was online, it was his initiative.
Edit2: Paintball to the croch, just shoot them in the crotch right back, point and laugh. Then throw in a small genitalia joke and watch as he has a terrible comeback and is secretly crushed...lol!
Would I have time to grab the orc's falchion and the other orc's axe at least? I just don't want any other orc using it. We can't leave this last orc alive, or with his axe.
Cavelcade's probably right. I almost hopes he gives chase; that'll give Mithril the chance to read their minds.

You might OOC hope they give chase, but I'm certainly none of us IC wants them to!
I don't see why you couldn't take an action before moving. Slows you down a little, but if you don't think it will be a bad thing. Standard to pick up Falchion, leave. You may get Henry to pick up the axe...
Oh god no. Is Mithril able to move and shoot this turn?
And Zman, I couldn't exactly do anything at the moment. You don't want to see the bruises I have on my legs right now. It hurts to walk, it hurts to sit, it hurts to stretch...

Thanks! I think it would be a really bad idea to leave the weapons with them. Better for us to have them with us and not used against us by some other orc.
Will be gone the rest of the night; ZMan can post for me. Note that Shiny has only 1 L1 spell left (make it count!) shiny will run if the rest of the group does
It might be good to kill the stunned veteran before we run.

I completely concur. And if we can't kill him, we've got to take his axe anyway.
Hoo boy that was a tough fight. I think we did pretty well! I mean, nobody died, so that's good in my book. And good, that's some dangerous weapons that the orcs don't have. They'd recycle them too if they picked them up. I expect to see more orcs with the same chain and hide. And good, we're all safe.
Darn. Well, only one more fight until next level though! At least, that's what it looks like. Come on, 2d6 sneak attack and penetrating strike!
First though, we have to get out of here and back to Linwood. Question: With Natalia's intelligence, would she be allowed to have suspicions about what she saw once we're safe and calmer? I'm not saying she disbelieves, but that she's suspicious.

What kind of suspicions? And why is Natalia suspicious? And how much of that stems from your OOC suspicions and meta knowledge?
If ogre mages are generally solitary, then why would there be two of them with the hooded one? Compounded with the illusion earlier in the day, and Natalia would still think that they allied, but wouldn't discount the possibility of an illusion.

Your Knowledge check was only a 15, this is a good site for knowledge checks.
I need to use it more.

Oh, you mentioned ogre mages tend to be solitary in your post, so I figured Natalia knew that as well. I'm still not sure she would entirely discount the possibility, especially with Shiny around. Remember the Silver Dragon silent image on the ship?

Yeah, that's my fault. I gave too much on the knowledge check.
Either way it could be true, it could be an illusion. Either way we are running and he got us to do it.
