I think Whiskers will be safe; he's tiny and has a +13 or 14 to hide checks. And he'll probably be hanging out in the skull or something. There's different types of fear...

Exactly my point! And I really don't think Whiskers is in any danger here as long as he, a white weasel, stays in the white skull.
I agree with that idea, I think! Plus, using the soundburst right before we charge in seems so much better than wasting it on them all the way out there.

False negative is my only issue. Ogre mage with high will see the cave, enters it and ignore the weasel. Whiskers ignores him. We return, tired and happy and depleted and get destroyed.

This is why the game is healthy. Because even if people do not post IC, they post OOC, keeping the discussion fresh.
I had to post OOC- Shiny couldnt really come up with this kind of argument. (I could probably have found a way I guess- could avoid the risk of meta gaming).
Let's hope I have more luck in the trap-finding department in the last game! And Kurt and Shiny need some loot goodies; we'll find good stuff for Shiny and Mithril here, let's hope there's something decent for our resident meat-shield.

What has a shiny gotten for loot so far? I thought Valen has fared the worst with only the cloak of resistence?

You'd be surprised. Shiny and a gang of mercenaries were once attacked by a band of carnivorous butterflies. They sliced up the toughest fighter Shiny had even seen like he was made of paper. The only thing that saved them was a series of well-aimed rainbow patterns that Shiny fired at the butterflies, enough to stun them and escape. It was the most colorful battle Shiny had ever seen.
(Hey, if you're going to set Shiny up like that in the OOC thread...)
