I'm excited. And totally not lingering around the bar in case of damsels in distress.

Well, that, and the only soft-spot the former-barbarian smith here has is for things that remind him of his deceased family.

Of course not. What possible motivation could you have for that?

MAKING A SENSE MOTIVE CHECK! on Maris - to see whether he is cheating or not, or if he cheated with me. =P (I guess I just want to get a general feel of his character, and whether or not he's willing to do anything for a quick gold or two).
Sense_Motive - (1d20)[4] +7 [11]

also, a spot check if Maris decides to 'work his magic' on the vendor.
spot - (1d20)[3] +3 [6]

edit: ... If combat is involved in this game, just kill me now. These FRIGGEN dice rollers on these forums HATE ME!

Improvised weapon...check. Chance to beat wizard in grapple checks, check. Do-good-er personality, check. Concern, check. Should I roll initiative now or later?

Rashe - it's magic words(tm)

Corin - might as well roll it now, I assume Rashe is going to be letting everyone know what's going on soon enough.

Just to be clear, all these things aren't happening perfectly at the same time - Corin and the rest will have rushed upstairs a round or two before Maris and Siel hear what's going on, so don't be surprised if times get shifted a little.

Description fail. I can see why you might think that. *facepalm* Hanni's his daughter. I imagine her in her late teens, the wizard in his mid-late twenties and the noodle seller around fortyish.

Note to self, start describing people better...

Corin, could you roll me a Will save and a few more strength checks please?

Sorry about lots of rolls - this sort of thing would go much quicker at a table.

Actually folks, for things like this, is it OK if I just roll saves and the like for you to save time? I know some people really like rolling things themselves (and then it's only them to blame if they fail), but it's not going to be any different on a forum roller. I should probably be doing Spot and Listen checks privately anyway. Obviously attacks and anything along those lines would be all yours.

Alright. The girl is obviously hurt and on the bed, I imagine. I figure Corin sees the same scene as Rashe did, so I'll be working with that.

And I'm not sure what kind of attack 'mug' would be, outside of the -4 for an improvised weapon.

EDIT: Alright, I put all my math long-winded style in the spoilers. If anythings off I'll re-roll if my dice are off (Should be 1d2 or 1d4 instead of three, etc) or just factor it in if I missed it (Like if he's flanked I'd get another +2 to hit, ect.)

And with THAT roll to start out our first combat...This aught to be a great game

Oh, and some people rule that an improvised weapon has a fiftypercent chance to break every time it makes contact, so if that's applicable here I just hope I cave the mage's skull in with the mug.

I think I'll change the chances based on what you're using as an improvised weapon. For example, a vase will smash on the first blow, while a poker probably wouldn't break any time soon.

I don't have access to my character sheet from work. 0-0* I'm assuming I have a +6 to my search check. Go ahead and alter it dependent on what the number actually is - or I'll do so when I get home tonight.

Search - (1d20)[9] +6 [15]

Sorry for the delay guys, I've been feeling pretty rubbish this weekend. Hopefully things will pick up again soon.

EDIT: Toska, I think you're well aware of the dagger, no need to roll for it. I was wondering if anyone would think of it.

Rules for grabbing stuff can be found under the Disarm rules here. Count it as a poorly secured object for a +4 bonus (you just need to pull it out), but bear in mind you'll provoke an AoO.

Alright. It gets it's AOO, AC 11 (yikes). If it does damage, ignore the rest of this.

Then they do opposed rolls, since we're both unarmed it's each at a -4, so It'd be at a -2 for me(total), but since it's a 'snatch' of a loose object, I get a +4 aswell, breaking even at a +2: (1d20-2)[6]

If, like in this case, the target isn't a melee weapon being used by the defender, the defender takes an additional -4. So the zombie-girl's opposed roll is at a -8. But if she hits on the AOO and does any damage, all this doesnt matter and Corin just takes damage instead.
