His backstory includes either being born from a human/(Giant, Orc, or Goliath) relationship, or being abandoned and raised as such. Tired of being picked on in his home for being so small and weak, as well as nerdy (given Jotunbrud, an 18 in Strength, and a 14 in Int, I suppose that says a lot more about those around him), Daran runs away from his family and home, sporting a sword fashioned for him by his brother, to prove he can be strong, at least as a warrior if not in brute strength alone.
Later, could I take Human Paragon? Or would that bar me from the gestalt?
We could settle for inter-party bickering, should be less risky.
Speaking seriously, I still haven't managed to finish the backstory of my char and link it to the settings, sorry, the crunch is finished and if we want get started I can tie it during the story.

I seem to remember a max spent on a single item, I think it was 1200gp. Your fullblade(holy damage batman) is going to be more than that if magical.
Also, I don think jontobrud is the same as powerful build. It differs by not allowing you to equip larger weapons without penalty and increased effort, think you'll need monkey grip for that with the -2.
I just read through it, it was almost the same benifet as powerful build?? Where are you seeing the difference (I just skimmed it)
Powerful build specifically states you can use weapons one size larger, Jotunbrud is everything powerful build is, with the exception of that clause's absence. So you still need Monkey grip and the exotic proficiency.
Actually, it's just those two feats which are required, not Jotunbrud.

Darn... Curse you, Masterwork Pricing! I'd just barely slide at that price if it wasn't for that... Ah well, that's some money back.

Eww, you're right... 5 different games, and it isn't until now that that gets pointed out, and it would be the first time I decide to use the feat itself. Blech, darn -2.

Hm... I could (and unless objected, probably will) just use a regular Goliath instead. -1 Feat and 3 skill points, but still enables me to play a character physically smaller than the weapon he uses, which is still funny. He's actually shorter than his sword is!

Don't forget about losing the skill points at first level, your Warblade +4 skill per level is the one used to calculate it because LA is takn in stead of the first level of Expert on the Gestalt.. Meaning you are down 14 skill points total if you don't raise your int.
May still be worth it to go Human Jontobrud. -2 to hit hurts, but eventuallyy it won't matter with full BAB, maneuvers, buffs, etc.

Wait... how many skill points do I have again? I don't even know anymore! We may have to use Math!
Spoiler
Human: 14 Int for a +2 Bonus, +1 for being Human, +6 as an Expert, x6 (no multiclassing and at 3rd level). That's 54 points, if I'm right.
Goliath: 16 Int for +3 Bonus, +4 as a Warblade, then x4 for 1st level. Then add 3+6 (expert) x2, for 2 levels of Expert... 46 skill points total, if I'm right.
An 8 skill point difference, for want of increased constitution and strength, as well as Mountain Movement and Powerful Build. Seems worth it to me.
Eh, Jotunbrud doesn't work out the way I had thought it had, and had seen people (apparently inappropriately) using it. Plus, this way also give me a bit more of a backstory! The first time I might actually stick to a race's fluff for once... at least given a bit of a spin.
If you also you want there is the Celestial, Half-Vampire, Half-fey, Phrenic, or Half-Nymph templates to help all you really lose is the Expert NPC class

I can't imagine what the resulting spawn would look like... a Phrenic Half-Nymph Half-Fey Half-Vampire Celestial...
I'll keep the Expert class on the otherside. Just a kid born from some barbaric folk, looking to not be picked on for being pathetic and nerdy...
Random Request: If I were to pick it as one of my Expert Skills, can I add my Initiator Level to my ranks in Perform (Weapon Drill)? It doesn't normally do that (mostly since Complete Warrior was written before Tome of Battle, otherwise I bet they totally would have) but it seems like it would make sense; using special techniques and increased martial prowess to show off beyond warrior training. Just looking for something to add a little extra color to his personality.

Well preform isn't a broken skill so I don't see why not. Honestly It won't carry much weight in game but its good fluff

's why I wanted it! I can see him trying to impress other party members or aquaintances...
"Hey, lookie, lookie! Watch this!"
*Emerald Razor attack*
"Did you see it? I've been working on that one all day!" *smile*
Okay, so I've refixed my skills, and abilities, as well as my money... but now I'm not sure what to buy... 1025 left over, even after getting the sword and +1 Studded Leather (which just barely skirts under the 1200 rule). 25 gp would have been a lot easier to burn through!

Considered it, but it's a bit situational. First the enemies need to be all in a straight line, and I need to be able to fly. I may take it later, but right now I don't want to focus too much of my strength into a combat form that could be nullified by something as simple as strong winds.

Anyway, I'm back and ready!
Are you still looking for a feat, then? Would Improved Flight do anything for you? I suppose it isn't much of a jump if your maneuverability is already decent...
Welcome back! Care to update your chart with "The Littlest Warrior that could"?
Daranthos Zendrati
Male Chaotic Neutral Goliath Warblade//LA/Expert Level 3, Init +0, HP 45/45, Speed 30 AC 12, Touch 8, Flat-footed 12, Fort +7, Ref +4, Will +3, Base Attack Bonus 3 Masterwork Full Blade +1 (3d8+7+1d6, 19-20/2) Mithral Chain Shirt (+4 Armor, -2 Misc) Abilities Str 20, Dex 10, Con 16, Int 16, Wis 10, Cha 8 Condition None
Random Question: What is the minimum age a character is allowed to be? I know there are some rules on it, but do you care of those are at all bent or not? For Daran's characterization, I feel like him being younger than the average adventure, still so full of naivety and inexperience, youthful passion and energy, fits him well.
Isn't it funny to see a school aged kid running around with a sword that may as well be a Colossal Monster's tooth?

And People we are Ready to begin..... Prepare for the worst muhahahaha
Lilian Chase will still be allowed to spend the last of her gold if she wants before posting
And Daranthos Zendrati you need to be a bit taller to be able to have Powerful build because your between small and medium sizes. You need to be a minimum of 6 feet as the normal Goliath is 7+ feet tall
