Finally got around to making this, the IC should follow shortly. Also, NamonakiRei might not be here for the beginning, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
I'll edit to put the character sheets here soon as well. But in the meantime here's a plot synapsis.
In a nutshell: Sealed Evil in a Can but some bad guy has got a can opener.
More detailed: Long ago, a demigod rose to power in the Land of Light, and took it from the world by doing so. Reversing the Land's power, he blocked out the sun and sat on the Land's throne for over a year. It was defeated though by heroes of the land. His power gone, light was restored and the heroes became legends and all that is predictable from such an adventure followed after. The demigod though, an apprentice to the long dead deity, Hades, had a mastery over death and it could not stop him. He returned to take his revenge, but was prompty defeated by the children of the heroes before. The succesors, knowing that death could not defeat him, instead imprisoned him. They did not believe the Imprisonment spell though would be enough, if a servant of the demigod could cast the Freedom spell, he could return yet again. So they formed a plan...
Now many thousands of years later, whatever defense they formed is beginning to crumble and with all of Ovin (the world) at war, it'll take the small heroes to notice it.
Trials of Nathon.

So pretty much, we got to defeat the guy and imprison him again if we fail at preventing the jailbreak to begin with, right?
Well, if you fail to prevent the jailbreak you have low level characters vs. a demigod. The purpose of the campaign is that it doesn't go to that point.

The IC is up. I'm a little disapointed in it though, usually I have a lot more detail. I'll add details about the war and the world map later on the first post though. It might surprise you but the world war isn't the theme of the game here, it just has a lot of relevance to the characters. Anyways, post if you can, but if I didn't give you enough information to start them bomb me with questions, please, I'm really not proud of my work here.
Don't worry, it'll get better though.

The bartender nods slightly and hands you another drink, he doesn't even ask for coin this time, instead he seems grim and preterbed, like he's been since you've come in. In fact, this taverns abnormally quiet, even by human tavern standards, few people are there and those who are whisper to each other, or sometimes sob. Even stranger is that they don't even pay attention to you, which contrasts every tavern you've been in since you've been in southern Ria.
(This takes the assumption you've only been in Papil for less than a day.)
Tatank looks around the room for a moment. He then shrugs, finishes his drink, and asks for another one.
Sorry! Sorry! My internet is screwed up at it won't be back until Wednesday.
Could I please have more info on the war, and Papil? Is the tip of the country bordered by land or water?
The tip is bordered by water, but you're not technically on the very tip, so you're still quite a few miles from the coast. Ria is connected to another continient but it's to the north, not the south.
Not much to say about Papil, it's a small town with well less than 100 residents. There's a tavern, a general store, and a few farms outlining the area. At this moment something weird is going on, which Dimitri would know if he was a citizen.
The war started a few months ago. Just a bit before then central Ria was having some troubles with goblinoids who had gotten hold of some advanced weaponery. It turned out that what was believed to be a small organization had given it to them. This organization, called Obsidian, eventually tried to destroy Ria by opening a planar gate in the country Glinor. However, they were defeated by heroes from Glinor, and the goblins from earlier, because they backstabbed them. After that Obsidian's leader, Malovon, was killed by same heroes. Obsidian's general then took over and raised an army to declare war on Ria. The general, Veeda, used masterful diplomacy to obtain powerful allies in the City of Shadows, and later Calastia. After months of battle, the war culminated at the capital of the City States of Heironeious where the new Obsidian general, Avalon, crushed their forces. What was left of them moved west to the continient Uvia, where Obsidian has gone next it what seems to be a global conquest.
Naturally there's a lot more detail to it, but that should be enough for now.

Actually considering his mental stats it wouldn't surprise me if that was exactly what he did.
And it is what I normally would do with him. Unfortunately it looks like he is alone at the moment so there is a need of him to strike out in conversation.

I could introduce the DMPC early and he could greet you, if you'd prefer.

Well, I was actually wondering if Coffee or NamonakiRei's character would be in the tavern. But if they want to do their own intro, I'll engage in conversation. You don't need to bring in your character early.
I was going to wait until everyone was finished/when we'd reach first combat. But I guess I can set them up early. Hey Coffee, could you post a link to his sheet here to make it super easy for me?
Anyways, just in case you didn't notice, when a post isn't directed at a character it's in 3rd person. That's why I refered to Tatank as dwarf and Dimitri by his name rather than "you".

"Hey, wait! I don't even know where to start looking!"
Well he's already told you all that he knows...

So I'd talk to the former if you wanted a full description, everything else would be rumor, I suppose." He seemed not to notice Dimitri's comment with the dwarf's outburst, because you're certain he would've made more of a reaction if he had heard you. The girl who had been crying before addresses him though, jumping up from her seat to marvel at him, "You know spells?! That's amazing! We haven't had a spellcaster here in ages!"
