Regarding the gauntlet, wont Dantie need to know what ever command word, or method of activation is needed to activate it? Unless Jacob or the gauntlet can some how convey the information to you, then it would be a blind activation, requiring a UMD check to figure out how to use it, would it not?
Its divine, its intelligent, its an artifact, it wants to be whole...I think it would help Dantie in this case, plus the intelligence is probably her. Divine knowledge would rush into me upon putting it on and as far as I have seen their is not a single command word. Plus If Dantie looks like he is going to die Xander D-Door with it and run. I know what the DC is and it is within my grasp, but for one of you two you would have to roll almost a 20 to hit it. I need to roll less then 12. So it is not completely hopeless. Alan can tell you the DC if he wants I will not ruin that though.
Thats my point, it is not unwinable and that guy just may take me up on the offer, I rolled a 44-10 from being rushed so 34. Should agree with him, he gets to show how much stronger he is then us, and gets what he wants in his eyes. Its all win for him.
Dantie, I have a few words
Epic level character with maxed ranks in sense motive. sorry, but there is no way that will work. The DC would be in the 60-80 range, even if you weren't offering a very bad deal.
@Tarith: You never listed what spells you stole. Or do I get to choose from the list?
All Luther wants is to see her, as per his instructions. They can't do anything with it now, nobody can, but the place has been sealed for awhile, so they need confirmation. Of course, there is a way to bring her back right now- an effective "I win" button- but it is risky. Best to comply. Luther will leave with Nerine, true to his word.
Also... Alan, why on earth would the party trust him? Regardless of whether or not he is believable, he has never stated that he would not kill everyone, and just seeing her would mean that he would take her, which I don't think Tarith would accept.
Also, since craven is not available, do you want to change the outcome of the Varian fight?
damage from the attack, given no craven (1d4)+(4d6)+(2d6+2)
@Tarith: Doesn't matter now. That was ages ago. Varian is well and dead now. Will have to wait for Dantie to make his move, since he got the highest initiative. You stole DD x2, as stated. Greater Blink still gives you the 50% chance to evade, I assume, but she doesn't get the 20% chance to fail on her attacks. also, you are flying now, correct? But visible.
Unless someone wants to play Dantie´s actions, which would speed up this encounter.
Also, i know this is OOC, they were told to verify if she is there, before killing her. You saved them that part, so as soon as Luther sees this, he will report to The First, much to Nerine's dismay, who would've preferred to kill everyone.

So... to make an anti-detection box
First, lead lined, for the handyness of no locate object.
Second, running water, so no locate creature.
Third leave it in a handy haversack, as that more or less leaves discern location as useless, as it can't identify the right plane.
I assume you'll be placing the gauntlet inside the bag.
On a side note, I began drawing some sketches (albeit very rough) for some of the npcs here. Just portraits done in pencil, maybe painted later on. Any requests. maybe a friendly npc so far or some of your most hated villains?
you could draw Varien as a pile of bones....I would recommend sketching up the 6 people Arrallae mentioned, cause I'm assuming the campaign will revolve around them a good amount, also lich's are always fun to see drawn
