I hope they plan on using locate object to find the gauntlet, as the better spell to do it requires them to have touched the object.

Also, I don't think Nerine's DC for blinding beauty is high enough
It is 10+1/2hd+cha mod
She needs at least 35 hd to be what she is, so
10+17=27, and her cha must be fairly high, as a 36 did not hit against 10+deflection, so the DC should be in the 40's probably.

You ought to change your name to Tarith Doombringer. Seeing as the forest is vast, many miles long and wide and you do have many thousands of feet to cover, there could be a check made to get you as close as possible. Depending on the check, you could actually end up in the Grove. Of course, you could be healed, but those two will follow, which will result in the dryads being butchered.

Well, I do have a sort of option:
Tarith has a spell component pouch.
Thus, he has all the spell components in any spell listed in the spell compendium
Dispelling screen calls for a sheet of lead.

So, can Tarith use those sheets of lead to block the glove from being found by locate object?

Regarding components, a caster is assumed to have any item in certain number (and within reason) if it does not have a gp cost. rare items, like the hide of a displacer beast for the Displacement spell, would require a special quest.

A lead sheet, if the spell is within your list of spells, would be available.

lame, had to work late as well...Tarith can still talk to us telepathically right? or was that dispelled at some point?

Alan, I assume back in swans rest, Xander sees Dantie laying on the ground after falling, and just watched Tarith, Nerine, and Luther disappear right?

Well, he is no longer fighting for control of the item, at least.
Now, the question remains: how long can he survive against Nerine, who, knowing Alan, has a con of 30+, so a minimum con bonus of 1050(possibly more, if she has more levels in assassin)+35d6, or 1260 health. She also can probably kill Tarith in one round with ease.
2 +10 weapons, SA for at least 5d6, 6 attacks total, so 30d6+massive weapon damage

since your hand it starting to turn into what I suspect is Arrallae, if she kills you you might turn into a gauntlet yourself?

Also you do have the gauntlet, and have control, time to try activating it against her?

So I was thinking, a Ultimate Magus could persist spells as easily as Dantie, it would cost 1 5th lvl sorcerer slot, and 1 use of augmented casting to do so. I have 5 5th lvl sorcerer slots, and 6 uses of augmented casting at lvl 12

At 15 one could target 5th lvl spells (I don't plan on getting it, I am however required to get 1 more meta magic feat at 14, any recommendations? Also Alan, would easy metamagic (Lower the spell slot for one metamagic feat by one level, Dragon #325) be considered?

@Xander: I haven't read Dragon Magazine since 2001. I would have to say no, sadly. But so far, you have demonstrated to be perhaps one of the most dangerous party members. You alone allowed the Rose Bearer to be taken down with a single 1st level spell... and that thing is CR 15!

@Tarith: That was the last save. I'm all empty of those!

Persistent spell is a 6 level increase, so you would need easy metamagic to augment cast it.

Reasons incantatrix is awesome...
it is DMM for wizards, with more limitations

So... none of the dryads have a transport via plants Tarith can borrow? or a scroll of it?

Alan, the defeat of the rose bearer was strictly your fault. Read the definition of prone. At what point does it say if affects movement?

err...so I am apparently terrible with numbers, it could still be done, it would just cost a 6th lvl sorcerer slot, and by 15 I would have those, but it would probably only be a few.

I know it doesn't, but whenever he'd get up, he'd miss his save from grease and go back down.

If I am reading this right, Silent Image lets me make a image that takes up a 120ft cubed area, how many treants, or mounted Calvary could I manifest? Creating them to come around the side of the village, and charge at the giants, drawing attention away from the villagers, and with out the assassins around hopefully having a chance break a few of there moral?

...Alan, he could have rolled out, he can move 5 feet as a full round action by prone, in a separate ruling by wizards.

Xander, you are reading it incorrectly. you can create an image of up to 16 10 foot cubes, but of only one object. You could make a hill, but not an army, as an army is many creatures.

Dragons are fun though.
