Ideas. The better ones are here for putting to a vote. If there are any more ideas worthy of candidacy, put them forward
1. Yousuke IS Velma. One team is sent to investigate reports of spooky activity in a haunted house as per the request of its frightened would-be occupants, while the other team is hired to scare them off. Or perhaps just wants to screw with them; the goal of the first team is to prove the house isn't haunted while the second is to prove it is haunted without hurting the other team or letting their intentions be known. Of course, whether or not the house is actually haunted is independant of these activities, ufufufuf~ Players needn't be in their usual teams - maybe Yousuke is on the 'driving away' team and Houshi is on the skeptic team along with Momo. Hijinx ensue
2. The Netherworld and Yamaxanadu. About the 3rd or 4th different name for it - everyone's favourite NPCs (and at least one PC) gets totally attacked by a Judging Death God and our heroes must go straight to hell to retrieve the lost soul shards, interacting with extremely quirky 'demons' and getting into climactic fights, and finding good excuses to act with different personality as the cartoonish landscape gets to them.
3. Road to Sky Ninja. Some or all of our heroes find themselves in a parallel dimension where things turned out a little differently and it greatly affected their lives. Yousuke might wake up and find himself a few years older and in wedlock, or Houshi might have a reputation as a gentle-handed ninjutsu master, or Maaya as a proper bloodline, or Momo's local family members are swapped around and/or the Mangekyou's interaction trauma is entirely different. Yet for all the changes, everything seems peaceful. Maybe.. TOO peaceful *dun dun dun* Inspired by that one movie.

4. Quest for Lost Princesses. Touhou 12 crossover, essentially. Bit of overlap with (2.)
5. King Midas the Bastard. A filler villain with the power to make anything he touches turn to gold descends upon the village, demanding they repair his airship. Amon gets picked for the job in exchange for the promise to revert what he's converted so far, but the deal quickly turns sour when Midas decides Amon may be more useful than this one job and kidnaps her. Our heroes must defeat him and his crew of 5 before he can complete his plans to reclaim his entire kingdom... WITH A VENGEANCE! Also, if you could get around at saving Amon at some point, that would also be fabulous

Well, here we are folks. ZN's lost interest, so I'm your god now. Fear not, I say that at the start of every game I DM. He said in no lesser terms that I ruined his enthusiasm for the game, so my confidence is rightfully shaken, but there were a lot of stories there to tell that I didn't want to see abandoned, you know? I had a good time in this game and I think all of us did too. I have a rough for how to progress Team Cybele for a little while, but if Maaya wants to sign up I will need additional prep time. Folding us into one canon may be an option by the way.
As a bonus treat, I may be allowing some character rebuilding to put new energy into the game. While I shall be using a lot of ZN's abandoned material, I shall not be clinging to it too much so there will be changes in operations and style, which is for the best: I could never perfectly imitate his style even if I tried to, so there's no point being a cheap imitation of someone else.
I understand if none of you want to play. But there's a lot of ripe material and fun here that i want to do justice.
So how about it everyone, with that sombre stuff said...

Very well, Team Cybele assemble once more! *pose*
ZN sent me a lot of his private notes, including character sheets. I should be able to pull something off here, don't worry. It may take me some prep time though and posting will become very slow over the next few weeks - it'll basically trickle down to one post a day, if any, until after the 14th of next month when the exam schedule ends. However, there's still some good stuff we can do in the immediate future.
I'll start a new IC shortly then. We'll start with Yousuke waking up and being put on maid duty
And I know you won't much care, but if you're reading this, ZN, you're always welcome in this game, as a GM and as a player

I'm wondering if starting in the middle of another arc is the best idea I ever had. Maybe I should have fast forwarded back to town. Still though, we wouldn't have been able to return here otherwise and there's things I want to do. Bad, Zeone, if there's anything i could do to pique your interest in the new IC let me know.

*nods*. Very well. I shall need time to get current with Team Maaya however. My body is quite wracked with illness and malnourishment today, so I shall be unable to take all of it in. However, I have some intriguing rules for character building I was going to try out - though I'll give everyone a chance to tweek their character in that case. May even start/progress to level 7 just to get some nice motion going.
What character did you have in mind? I was going to fold Team Maaya into the Cybele canon at long last, it may be troublesome without Manabu.

Well, I did have that Hyouton version of Manabu I was working on. And I have a Kaguya Clan Taijutsuist I wanna play. I don't even know if Ces and Rion want to jump over here. It might just be me.

Why? Houshi only ever uses one weapon in his life. Eh, not my place to criticise your build. However, I was going to give everyone a chance to rebuild their characters a bit during the settling in period if you're interested.

If they both sign on, I'll Keep Manabu as is. If one or neither does, then I think Manabu is going to be drafted for intense training and maybe never be seen again/become a member of a secret attack force or something.

I'll sign Takuya up, hell yes. While it is a shame ZN lost his enthusiasm (I've had it happen to me on numerous occasions), I had plans for Takuya. Large, potentially mindbreaking for everyone plans.

Well, as soon as I could get an assumed time lapse in for the teams, I was going to be giving us all a chance to mechanically rebuild our characters, within reason, at level 7. The only reason for that is I thought if I let everyone do that it could breathe a new type of energy into the game, give us a clean slate.
Also, no promises, but ZN might pop in with some news for everyone later.

Right, Bad, you brought up via PM that picking up exactly where we left off may be a bad idea. Do you have any suggestions of where we should go or how we should start? I extend that question to everyone, really.
So, Team Maaya... looks like I'll have to do my homework on you guys after all.

Team Maaya: I don't have the Maaya (the character, not the team) character sheet as it stands and few note surrounding her. I'll be going over your IC for anything of note, but if I can't find anything to really work with, would you prefer to have a different Jounin character? I actually have an elseworlds Beautiful Ninja Teacher Amon I could use if I'm feeling exceptionally lazy, but of course that would invalidate any chance of crossover.
If I have to, I thought of a way to cram us all into one team, but since all six of you have signed up that would be a bit impractical to my focus. Nothing wrong with that, mind you. Although havin just Zeone and Bad on Team Cybele feels a bit anaemic
I'm thinking I have some things to wrap up with team Cybele to get us all on the same page. I'm tempted to do a quick 'filler arc' with team Maaya and phone it in for a week until Yousuke and Houshi return to town, but that seems sloth even for me. Though at least it would keep you busy
