Re: Soragakure Shippuuden: All Aboard That's Coming Aboard
Well if we're level 10, I was looking at Strong 3/Samurai(Kyujutsu) 7. So my idea is a stance that allows me to treat any medium-sized or smaller object as an arrow for the sake of firing it from a bow. So add that to a training-based ninjutsu technique that allows him to craft objects out of Stone, Wood, or Water by spending chakra--and by expending additional chakra/taking HP damage he's able to imbue them with the effects of weapon seals, essentially allowing him to fake anything he sees or knows of. Then maybe a spacetime technique for the actual Unlimited Blade Works.
EDIT: Alternatively, I could be a catgirl.

Re: Soragakure Shippuuden: All Aboard That's Coming Aboard
How large will the Reality Marble Spacetime jutsu be? Is it a set thing or will it get larger in proportion to the chakra spent on it. And what kind of initial costs/recurring costs will the technique have?
Also, I can see how a Tracing/Broken Phantasm stance could work. Hmm kind of inspires a Gate of Babylon stance as well. Though, the stance might be pretty expensive though...
Something like 1CP per attack made with the Gate, with a number of shots based on iterative BAB attacks for balance reasons. 1CP can produce +1 Mastercraft weapons and an additional CP can be paid for every additional Mastercraft bonus or or enhancement bonus. The attacks are ranged to hit attacks at 100+10ft per level (or 100+20ft per level) with weapon damage + Int mod in place of Str.
And then I could work on Ea...

Re: Soragakure Shippuuden: All Aboard That's Coming Aboard
I put my best least awful ideas in the second post of this thread. If you guys want to put it to any sort of vote, discussion or addition, have at it.
1. could be done at our current level no problem, 2 and 4 would be made with Ruleset A below (more details to follow) and 3 and 5... I'm not sure. I think 5 may need a higher level but 3... hm. You know what, just
Ruleset A
Spoiler
40-point buy stats
Level 10
Start with 3d4+10 techniques
The Three Basic Techniques for free, plus more to follow after I get a nap
I may be giving everyone power units, we'll see.
Free feats: Genin, Chuunin, Combat Martial Arts, Nin Weapons Proficiency, armour feats. Strong Heroes receive Archaic Weapons Proficiency if taken at level 1
Archetypes are in place.
Having the Training feat gives 1d4+1 training feats for free
Academy Student get their choice of any skill
Gain masteries equal to highest mental stat to start with.
Everyone has 20+Profession ranks Wealth to start with, plus bonuses from feats, occupations etc.
Other things: Nonlethal Damage stacks, hostage and movement/reflex variants
I may roll 4 in with 2. I like Byakuen a lot
You may take templates only if they are appropriate Eh. I might disallow corpsewalker
Any questions, feel free to ask

Right, my suggestions are in the second OP for your scrutiny - please provide that, everybody, your lack of communication is creeping me out. If there's no discussion by tomorrow, I'll just take the ath of least resistance and do the Haunted House Scooby Doo Thing (suggestion number 1.) because I'm lazy like that and because I'm getting antsy to just jump right into it rather than spend all that prep time designing when you may not even prefer the Invading Netherworld arc, y'know?
Sorry I'm such a slow DM, guys. I'm not good at managing my workload like this

Re: Soragakure Shippuuden: All Aboard That's Coming Aboard
Stance-wise: It's pretty simple. The user enters the stance as a swift action. He may fire any medium-sized or smaller object on his person as if it as aerodynamic as a standard arrow for his bow. The user may activate any seals, tags, or other chakra reliant abilities that are part of the item before firing. The user is counted as wielding the object for any effects that require him to wield the chosen object. Costs 5 chakra to enter the stance.
My ninjutsu idea so far is: It allows the user to trace weapons by figuring the total purchase DC, dividing it by 1/4th, plus 1/4th the purchase DC of any seal slots, then paying that much chakra to trace the weapon. Seals can be added at, again, 1/4th the price paid in chakra. For example, a MWK +3 to hit kunai with a legendary seal and a superior seal slot would cost (6+7[MWK]+30[Legendary]+12[Superior])/4 = 13.75, rounded down to 13 chakra. Lets say you want to add a legendary Mystical seal and a superior Shieldblade seal. You pay an additional (23/4=5 rounded down) + (49/4=12 rounded down), for a grand total of 30 chakra for this +5 to hit/damage, +2 to deflection weapon. Any feats, abilities, or other affects that reduce the cost of the item may be applied, and reduce the chakra cost to trace the item appropriately.
Add in a mitigating cost effect, such as reducing the chakra cost by 5 in order to take 1d4+1 points of non-lethal damage, and you're able to craft all kinds of interesting ammunition. For example, my idea for the Broken Phantasm Hrunting is two Greater Exploding Tags(6) Quickblade(8 + 4(seal slot)) Large Katana(3) for a total of 21 chakra for two attacks, each dealing 2d6+6d6+other modifiers in addition to whatever technique is used to fire the weapon.
Weapons created by this ability last for 1 hour per level, or until dismissed by the user. If a weapon is dismissed, then the user regains a number of points of chakra equal to 1/2 the cost spent to create it.

I was thinking something like: Full attack action to summon, a radius equal to 10ft*level that travels with the user, with a cost of of 2*1/2 level, and lasts level/2. It grants the user level*8 "bonus" chakra to spend on crafting items as per the user's Trace ability, and these items are decided when the Reality Marble is formed. All the items are scattered randomly around the user, and may only be picked up by a creature with the same chakra signature as the user. The user is counted as wielding any of these weapons so long as he is within five feet of them, and may pick up a weapon as a free action that does not provoke AoOs. The user may make an additional attack per round as long as he is using a weapon created by the Reality Marble to attack. This bonus attack does not stack with other non-permanent sources of bonus attacks(such as Renzuki).
Depending on the weapons traced, the user counts as having the appropriate Traditional Path for that weapon. For example, if the user traces a katana or other swords, then he is treated as having the Traditional Path(Kenjutsu) ability for the purpose of using techniques. He does not gain any other benefits related to the Traditional Path ability.
Broken Phantasm: Any weapon traced with this technique may be used as ammunition in a bow. If a weapon created by this technique hits an enemy, then it is instantly destroyed and deals additional damage equal to 1d6 per 4 points of chakra spent to craft it.
Defensive Maneuver: If the user is targeted by an attack roll made with a physical unnatural weapon he is able to see, and the user is not flat-footed, then he may make a Craft(Mechanical) check with a bonus equal to his level. If his Craft(Mechanical) check beats the purchase DC of the item, then the user may spend 5 chakra to activate this part of the technique.
He may immediately destroy and convert one of his created weapons into a copy of the attacking weapon, then immediately counterattack. The traced copy is a perfect recreation of the attacking weapon, and unerringly blocks attacks from the real weapon. The attack that activated this ability is negated, and the created weapon is destroyed and may not be recovered until this ability is used again.
EDIT: @Trace: I have no opinion so long as I'm able to play a catgirl and/or Archer.

Re: Soragakure Shippuuden: All Aboard That's Coming Aboard
The Devil's Dog is finished, assuming Trace okays my homebrew stuff. I wanted to give her Gugenjuu no Jutsu to justify the dog ears and tail, but I suppose I'll just have to ask Trace for leniency concerning being non-human, but also a human.
Sakuya does, basically, what Sakuya should do. Throws knives really well, and throws them in very large batches at a time. Her ability to fight in melee is okay at best, and down right atrocious without speed/strength ranks. She'd need a natural 19 to hit herself in melee without speed/strength, and still needs a 15 to hit herself with them. Whereas if she could throw knives at herself, she'd hit herself on a 6 and an 11 respectively.
Wow, I got shafted in almost every way. Several 1s on HP and few rolls above average in general, the lowest possible amount of training techniques and a below average number of techniques.

I don't think you need to know the plot. But the premise is: Naruto and Sakura wake up in an Alternate Universe where everybody has wildly different personalities and they wonder what the hell is going on. For example, Playboy!Sasuke, Dom!Hinata, and Catfan!Kiba. It's really that simple. So either you play an AU version of your current character or you play a character who is juxtaposed against this bizzaro world. I'm going for the latter personally. Canon Yousuke freaks out way too easily for me not to place into an AU.
