Arts and CraftsThe place to talk about stick figure avatars, graphic design, fan art, or any application of the visual arts and creative writing--or just to show off your latest masterwork!
Quoted From Lilly on the other threads. I am guessing this one works fairly similar.

If you do not wish to request an avatar but still want a custom made one: The Adoption Center is Open!
Erfworld Avatar Artists: If you don't want your name up here, I will edit it straight away.
To all others: It is considered bad form to use an avatar without asking permission of the artist. Unless, of course, you have it specifically made for you. Please ask before you use any of the avatars in the portfolios of the artists unless it states in their requisites or on their portfolio site that you may use the avatar without asking permission.
If after you've posted your request to the request thread twice and there is no response, please PM one of the active artists below. (Do not repost your request until at least 48 hours after your original request, please.)
If you are PMing a request please do not PM multiple artists. They don't want to waste their time doing a favour for you if you've already got someone else doing the exact same thing.
A slight suggestion: to save loading time to make a post, please make a link to your picture after 3 days to make it easier on dial-up.
Guides to Making Avatars:
Please check here before you post a question about how to make your own avatars.
A while back, I did some LJ and IM avatars for Erfworld when we announced some preview images to our friends. They star our mascot, Nobby, who's a gobwin with a spear. This might help give people a direction for Erfworldy avatars. Feel free to snag and use where ever you like.
On a side note, I'm so amazed at the quality of avatars on this board. You guys do some great work!

The two on the left are for human type characters. Thus far, Erfworld eyes are either solid black or circles with black outlines. Jillian and Wanda have stylized eyes with whites and all, but they're not on the templates. The eye style is up to you, but you can get a lot of expression with just circles as you all already know.
The two on the right are the general proportions I'm using for some of the monsters. The one with the BIG round head is a Marbit and the one with horns is a Gobwin. Marbits always have those two hair streaks. Thus far, we've only seen brownish Marbits, but feel free to come up with your own color combinations. Same with Gobwins. Most of the Erfworld monsters have white eyes with heavy black circles around them, but again, feel free to come up with your own.
Besides the gif posted above, I also have posted these templates as illustrator ai and svg.
Don't feel you have to follow these things exactly. I created them to give you avatar ninjas a base to work off of. Have fun! I can't wait to see what you all come up with. So far, I'm loving em!
Both templates for ideas by the erfwordly Jami.
This is basically a hub for those who want to monopolize on the erfworld world of avatars.
Avatarists known to create these masterpieces: Gengy
Abardam
DArKandEViL
Danielf
Tomb Raven
((If you want your name removed or added pm me. It will be best to check there sigs if they are taking requests etc))

Any erfworld avatarist out there feel like doing a Death in erfworld style.
Bonus points if he is on a mighty Dwagon!
Yes, I do get caught up in new crazes, how can you tell?

Hmmm... well, I SHOULD be doing school work, but Death, I might have something for you by Sunday.

I've only seen a character at anything resembling this level of absurdity thrive exactly once, and he/she/what-the-jongo had the advantage of being written by Gengy, who I look up to as a writer.
"What-the-Jongo?"
Before you insult someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, you'll be a mile away, and have their shoes!
So I was rendering stuff today for schoolwork, and pulled out my sketch pad... I think I'm getting the hang on Jami's style (not that I can match it perfectly), and I'm liking the things I have for Death so far... Sorry, D, no dwagon.
Check back here later for a couple of sketches. Going to dinner.

I've created an open directory for me to deliver erfworld avatar arts. It's a temporary solution for now. Probably create a new one somewhere else later, but I grabbed the cast images and turned them into transparent pngs for people to resize and have at them.
Also, if you would like specific panels of the comic as avatars, post your request and I'll swap out the backgrounds to get you a clean image. Happy avataring!

Could someone make an Erfworld version of my guy here? For clarification purposes:
Half-Orc, reddish tannish brownish skin, shaggy black hair, sharp teeth, blue eyes, short and point ears, navy blue captain's uniform with hat (white feather), white undershirt, green tie, navy blue slacks. Dark blue (or teal, if you want, I tend to swing both ways) cape over right arm, dark green belt, dark green boots (or black, if it's easier), uses two rapiers/cutlasses.
Go crazy.
-I could do any artists a favor as payment (like the Marquis!), I'm a pretty good 3d modeller.
Could someone do an interpretation of my avatar? (Without the snow and Santa hat, although I would be eternally grateful if you did another version including them.)
