Just as the title says; effective immediately, Erfworld is moving to a Tuesday/Saturday schedule, rather than a Tuesday/Thursday.
Rob tells me it was partly as a result of fan feedback, which requested a shorter gap between installments, and partly as a result of his apartment building catching on fire and him thus not getting this Thursday's strip done in time. (For those that don't know, Rob letters the strip after Jamie does the art, and so is the last to touch it.)
The new update schedule ought to be nice. I don't have very many comics that update on Saturday.
I'm fine, everyone. It's been a horrendous inconvenience, but fortunately that's all. There's a long and interesting story, but that's the short of it.

I sympathize; my own apartment burned at the end of June. Fortunately, my computer's hard drives and almost all my books were salvageable. It makes a horrid mess. I hope you didn't lose much.

How is there a shorter gap between Tues-Sat than Tues-Thurs?
There's not. There's a shorter gap between Saturday and Tuesday than between Thursday and Tuesday. Before, you had to wait 2 days, then 5 days. Now, you have to wait 4 days then 3 days. It's more balanced.
Now what am I going to do on Thursdays? Come on, man, I need my fix!
Yeah, this kinda bites - I only read the comics at work, so I'll have two comics to read on Monday, and none to read on Friday - provided the Giant doesn't post Fridays comic by 6pm Est.
You should enlist a once weekly comic to post on Thursdays, so I can keep my Friday fix :)

At present I only read three comics that update consistantly, OoTS, Erfworld, and Goblins, was kind of nice having Monday through Sat with solid updates. Now I'll have a midweek gap, and an extra one on Sat, albeit last three weeks I've not been able to read Goblins till Sunday, I kind of prefered the old schedule, but will eventually adjust to this one.

I've had two apartment buildings burn down ... both after I'd moved out of them, fortunately.
Apt #1 burned down when someone left a battery on the patio in sunlight. It exploded. Scratch one building.
Apt #2 burned down when a pre-teen was smoking a cigarette and, when seeing mom come along, threw the cigarette someplace it didn't belong. Scratch another.
Apartment fires are *no fun*. Glad to hear you got out okay.

Jeeze.
I knew Erfworld was attracting some flames/flamers . . . but I didn't think it would become so literal.
Yikes! Glad to hear you're okay. And also glad to hear that I can look forward to new comics on the weekend!
