Ok, I had an idea for a game. Basically this game is all about making secret alliances, stabbing people in the back, you know, all the fun stuff. Its incredibly simple. Everyone who signs up to play will be given a list of three people that they have to kill. In order to win, the 3 people on their list must die, and they must live until the end.
In order to kill someone you have to point at them, and 2 other people have to point at them as well. At the end of the round (approximately 2 real days) whoever has 3 fingers (or more) pointing at them is eliminated from the game. Multiple people can be eliminated per round. The game continues in this succession until there are 3 consecutive rounds where no one is eliminated. The winner of those remaining will be the person who has eliminated all of their targets. If more than 1 of the reamining eliminated all of their targets, then there will be a tie.
I'd expect there to be a LOT of finger pointing switches through each round. The end of the day is the only thing that really matters though.
Example of Play:

Player A's list to kill is Players B, C, D.
Player B's list to kill is Players A, C, D.
Player C's list to kill is Players A, B, D.
Player D's list to kill is Players A, B, C.
Round 1
Player A points at Player C.
Player B points at Player C.
Player C sends a PM to Player B and tells him that if he will remove his finger, he'll point at whoever Player B tells him too.
Player B agrees and switches his finger to Player A.
Player C also points at Player A.
Player D take the opportunity to point at Player A to eliminate him from the game.
Player A sends a PM to Player D and tells him if he removes his finger he'll point at whoever Player D wants him too. Player D says no thanks and lets Player A perish.
48 hours culminates, Player A is removed. Round 2 starts, etc.
I wouldn't want to start this game until probably March 1st or so (plenty of time for registration if enough players are interested, enough time for Survival Horror to perhaps be over, etc).

No no, gods no. If I've learned anything from running Survival Horror it is that all game actions will take place in the thread. So only fnger pointing done in the thread will be recognized.
T - 2 weeks (about) and we have 15 players so far. That's a good size but we can always use more. So if anyone else is interested in joining up, let me know.

Let's say hypothetically the last people standing are Death, Alarra, Silkenfist, Selrahc & Gnome Barbarian. Death has eliminated all 3 of his targets, Alarra & Silkenfist have eliminated 2 of their targets, and Selrahc and GB have eliminated 1 of their targets.
Keep in mind that no one knows how many targets their opponent has eliminated. Assuming Death started 3 bandwagons to get other players eliminated, someone could suppose that he has eliminated all 3 of them, but it is not a certainty. Now if Alarra has been pretty quiet, Silkenfist might think she hasn't elminated many of her targets, and thus he might ally with her to take Death out because he believes Death is in the lead.
Now, Selrahc and GB may have talked in PMs and made an alliance of sorts and know that they are trailing behind. Thus they decide to take out Silkenfist because they believe he is allied with Alarra, and they don't want any other alliances out there because it weakens their power.
Of course they could be allied, but maybe they aren't. Maybe Silkenfist is waiting to stab Alarra in the back, or maybe Alarra is waiting to off Silkenfist.
This of course creates a situation where no one knows what the other people know, and the most valuable thing to know in this game is what everyone else knows. But can you trust them when they tell you what they know?

Awesome suspenseful fluff aside, it really could go a number of ways. Theoretically, the game could end with 8 people remaining because no one players gets at least 3 fingers pointed at them. However, if you haven't eliminated any of your targets when it comes down to a stalemate, you basically know that you are going to lose. This is when you have to shift your vote to eliminate someone, anyone, just to keep the game going.
Either way, I'll run it as is for now, and like every 1st edition of a game we'll all learn from it and maybe make some changes if a second version of it is going to be run.
