You'll have to forgive how crappily I covered over the speech bubble - I still haven't gotten the hang of the clone tool in GIMP...

The importance of having "Fashion" as one of your strengths:
(I was able to extrapolate a few lines to fill in Wanda's figure behind the text boxes, and put it on top of a Paint Shop Pro gradient with stone texturing. I've already put in a request on the blowup thread.)

Nice job on the arm, especially. That was probably the most work to fill in.
The blowup thread is getting pretty backed-up. But at least the print ad provided some good clean art-source material.

One technical tip: You might want to try using some techniques for reducing the file size (like reducing the color depth) to save on bandwidth -- here's a description of how to do that using the GIMP (note: I recommend trying some of the dither settings instead of "none" as the author recommends).

At this point, the division into two threads is more a historical relic than anything else, so don't worry about it.
It's not exactly a motivator - I was trying for something a bit different that time.
And I recommend GIMP as a Photoshop alternative - it's free to download.
@TigerHunter: Excellent take on "Outrun"! Now I need to de-coffee my keyboard...

Is there some kind of reference there that I am missing here? I mean, it's funny, but I can't help the feeling that I don't get it even though I think I get it.

That hopeless feeling is the feeling which demotivators are meant to evoke.
I've decided to try my hand at making a Demotivator. Here's my first try:
I was going to put a caption that says something to the effect of: "Well, Stanley has been doing that to me figuratively since he became Overlord...", but I decided to go the "less is more" rout.

Is there a demotivator generator available that will include the proper art credits?

I doubt it, but you should be able to save a copy of the image, add them, and host the result on some other image site. (Personally, I just put everything together in Paint Shop Pro.)
