Mistaken Identity Week

Okay, so Christmas in July week is going to start soon, but I wanted to see if after Christmas week, maybe everyone would be willing to do this?

Mistaken Identity week is the swap-athon for everyone's avatars. Whoever wants to play posts their avatar into this thread using bold font for the avatar's name and owner, and then using [IMG ][/IMG ] tags after that to post their image. The week before this starts, we will be determining through dice who gets whose avatar. Then, once the week is over, everyone changes back. I think it'll be fun seeing who gets which person's avatar...

Also, during the week (with the group's approval), we will also be changing gender icons, locations, and sigs in order to further confuse the issue.

I'm open to seeing which dates would be good for this event, but I'd like to start planning it a while before so everyone has some time to trade avvies.

July 31st is currently the tentative starting date for this week. Also, you are allowed to choose which avatar you give the person, but it is preferable to give them whichever will be most recognized as your avatar.

We're still getting permission from various artists in order to swap avatars this way. Most people are just PMing their beloved artists, but we would prefer that if they are one of the very popular artists, that you let us just ask them for a blanket permission. We don't want to overload their PM box.

I think surprise is more fun. Actually, with the regulations now, you can influence what you get by posting quick, but still be surprised who get's yours, that's quite perfect.
But a surprise element should stay, makes funnier combinations. (Imagine Ms_E with the Magtok avatar, or a still clueless new member as ZRS)

V Randomizing by dice? Now that would be really, really cool.

Alright, we have a few options then. I'll leave the vote to you guys...

1. We use the posting method that we have going. Whoever posts next loans you their avvie, and then the last person gets mine. We'd create a new thread for this in which you can only post once.

2. We each contribute an avatar and then throw them into a pool in which each person gets one randomly selected by the dice.

3. We each contribute an avatar and it becomes a first-come first-served list of avvies.

4. We give each person free-reign on who to trade with. Time consuming, but significantly less random.

5. We all contribute an avvie and then the dice roller chooses one we all use.

6. Same as (4), but voting instead.

7. We use one of the first four options, and then save one of the previous two for a future week called either Role Model Week or Stalker Week, in which we all use one person's avvie.

I don't think the original posting thing will work, unless we make a seperate thread where you can only post once. Zephra, they're spelled avatars, aviatars are a misspelled word for pilots.
