Redemption is a fancomic (for OOTS) based on the backstory I wrote for that one badass bandana'd paladin (see him here, in the third panel of the second strip). It follows the adventures of Remmin, as I call him, his friend Katsu, and his girlfriend Aoi. The comic will be posted page-by-page as I complete it, but please do not treat it like a webcomic. I have no real update schedule except for the estimated rate at which I complete it. For the most part, it will follow the general format of regular OOTS, though it may stray from that. The artwork is intended to be similar to if not an exact imitation of Rich Burlew's art style in OOTS.
Someone asked for banners, so I went on a spree.
Feel free to use these. Just remove the spaces in the code and it will work.
The fading out in the beginning is very cool. However, Rich generally keeps a strict watch on his artwork, so if that is the actual Shojo death pic, you might be in trouble. If that's a recreated version, you're in the clear.
That certainly looks very interesting. It looks very close to the Giant's style, especially the text bubbles and colours.
However, what puts me off is the length of the arm holding the katana.
For Bandana Guy's name, how about "Batosuke Suichin". (bat-O-scay / SOO-cheen)

Oh, and I checked; it isn't the exact same as the Shojo death pic.

Yup. I'm going to be very, very careful. I'm not going to have any of his characters be part of the story, and the most they might do is speak one line. The exception is where I know a confliction is extremely unlikely, like Shojo's part in the cover page/basic premise. That's the only example I can think of of tying in with Rich's storylines.
How do you guys think I should post this? I'm thinking the cover page, then each page in its own spoiler tag.

Providing that's it's fine with Rich, I say go for it. Right now I'm more interested in the Sapphire Guard than in the OOTS. Especially since the comic is updating irregularly and this should satisfy my OOTS fix.
Behind the Name is a good site when you're looking for names to give to your characters. It has all kinds of names in it's database, what they mean and are they for men, women or both. Here's Japanese names!
I've been thinking about making a fancomic myself, but I my knowledge about D&D is poor and thought it the idea would be crushed by the folks at the forums/Rich. Guess I was wrong... Hope you'll manage to do this!

Wow! That site is a godsend! Throwing up a cast page for now, more characters may be added later.
I've been thinking about the tone for the comic, and I decided I was going to go less with humor and more with actual storyline. Don't get me wrong, though, there will be lighthearted bits.
Also, this will likely take me quite a long time. I take a long time to draw, mostly.
I'm most of the way through the first page, so it should be up tonight or tomorrow.
P.S. It's going to be that paladin, for exactly that reason.

This might turn out very well, I would ask the Giants permission before going any further but if you stick to it and get his permission it could turn out fantastic!
I always liked Remmin and thought he could have a cool back-story if someone took the time and encourage you to continue.
