On topic though, any updates in the foreseeable future? I've enjoyed this comic and I hope it continues, but this defibulator only has a few thousand more volts left in it...
Just FYI, it's "defibrillator." Designed to restart the heart's normal rhythm when it's gone into fibrillation, which is when the ventricles aren't beating properly, just quivering, and so no blood gets pumped.

I too hope this comic continues. It was pretty cool.

I'l be the caster, I have 'nough levels in cleric to do it right.
Dont know exactly how much hiring the caster would cost, but I'm fairly certain its a bunch.

Heh, apologies to all for neglecting this for so long. I had a few things going on that stopped me from doing the art on this, and that combined with my inability to draw the scenes how I imagined them in my head caused me to stop in frustration.

But my art has improved now, and I feel more able to continue, especially with these other webcomics encouraging me to start up again. From the next strip I will be using my more recent art style, which will hopefully make drawing quicker and easier to edit. We'll see how it goes, I know that there are better things to read on here right now, but if I get enough interest I'm going to continue this.

Nexus - Varin is Ailish's god (equivalent to Pelor), he has been mentioned before a while ago, but it's worth a reminder, it has been rather a long time since then

First time I see you comic.

A+ on the drawing. but you only get a C for the storyline so far...(too much, too fast, too many things to wonder about for 11 strips.)

So any guesses on what the bags are? I think it's either a Bag of Holding or Devouring.

Thanks for the nice comments on my late return, I will carry on with this as much as I can. I haven't got the kind of time where I can commit to a schedule, but I aim to post a new comic at least twice a week.

Here is Strip 12, the first in my newer art style, and hopefully there's more detail in there. I'm interested in seeing what you think of it:

Strip 12 - Art Upgrade
Spoiler

This is the first strip of Part 2 of the story, so I'm going to edit the first post to nest Part 1 in a single spoiler etc. I'm also going to stick the banner up in my sig, just in case anyone wants to use it. I won't have time to do another comic for a few days, the next should be posted maybe Saturday or Sunday, but no promises. But it definitely won't be a three month wait like last time.

Hope you enjoy, as always any kind of comments are welcome.

Note - Many thanks to Roland St Jude for changing the thread title for me.

Great to see this comic back again. I'm liking the art upgrade, although I must confess that I like the old-look Jenna better. That is just my preference though. The new Jenna reminds me a little too much of Imoen for my liking. Still, nice work and I'm looking forward to seeing the next strip, Banj.

My opinion:

I like the new art for everyone, with a couple of exceptions.

I liked Jenna's hair, boots, & chain mail top from the old style. Everyone else is an improvement.

I especially like Ailish's new sword, the symbol on her dress & Drake's "dress" is cool.

Hmmm, well mixed opinions so far on the change of art-style. I suppose I should explain why I have changed it.

Spoiler

So that's why it has changed, and also why it will stay that way. I'm sorry if it causes some people to stop reading, but I need to keep the change for the sake of my own sanity. Plus I actually think it looks clearer and neater.

That said, I may move Jenna slightly back to how she was in the next strip, as most people have said they preferred her before. I might change her armour a bit, and look to put her fringe back in, I'll see what I can do, as long as it doesn't make her any harder to work with.

Anyway, enough of me waffling on, the next strip is done...and a day early too! See, told you it wouldn't be three months

Strip 13 - A Bridge Too Far
Spoiler

As always any comments and criticisms are welcome, along with random banter about the comic. It would be good to hear from a few more people who actually prefer the new art style, just so I know I'm not alone.

Next strip could be up on Sunday, though Monday or Tuesday are more likely.

Thanks to you all for supporting me as I try to start the strip up again, it's really appreciated

Banjo, I love the new comic, especially the back ground man and its death

Btw, I like the new style on Jenna(the front part of her hair), I thought it kept making eyes sad...

Biogs for the four main characters are now up on the first post. Note soem minor changes to Jenna, the green armour star is back, and the boots are a little more pointy. More changes will occur if I can get them right. Biogs of Vortigern and Cal will follow when I have time.

Note that very little is said about any of the characters pasts. This is something I want to visit in the comic, Jenna's in particular, for her past plays a very important part in the story.

V - Well yes, the information given in the biogs is basic stuff that could easily be identified from the comics so far. More imformation will come in future comics, I won't be revealing it in biogs or any other methods outside the comics. And no character will get a biog picture until they are seen in the main comic.

All the biogs are for are people new to the comic after it's long absence.

Maybe you can instead of plainly dumb the information on your first post in text, build it up in the story, let it reveal itself?
