I don't know whether that statement was a sneaky little masterpiece or the literary equivalent of rotten meat. I'm going to assume masterpiece, so, bravo, man. That is a good catch-all cure for any kind of philosophy. Cream.

On another note...I was playing D&D with my brother the other night and rolled three natural 20s in a row. It was pretty sweet.

We had a houserule, if you got a natural 20 on an attack roll and confirmed the critical threat with another natural 20, you got to roll again, if that was a natural 20, well...

Yep, that's how it works with us as well. On the 3rd it's an instant kill.

Would have been MUCH more satisfying if it had been on a main villain and not some lousy low-level minion I was going to kill anyway. But it got our morale pretty high.

I tripple critted a PC while DMing once. They were fighting some cannon fodder and he annihilated a Succubus character. I had to run a mini session in hell before we could continue. Yay Blood War! ^_^

*Heh* Ain't it great when a gamer and their dice see eye-to-eye and synergize one another's inherent cool? I presume these good and loyal servants of yours are resting on silk or velvet cushions right now?

The sad thing is, I was borrowing my brother's dice. Because he LOST my personal favorite set....

It's the same set that kept rolling threes for him. I am avenged.

Sounds like those dice have chosen new owners... Of course, this will be proven if they continue to no longer work for your brother!

I'll be going as part of my work. Someone has to deliver supplies to those crazy fools that want to live/research there, and someone needs to make sure the plane can leave in top shape, so they take a few mechanics.

On current topic...

I have dice that are oversized, to be about 300% normal size. I originally bought them so I wouldn't have to worry about my neice choking on them, then she proved she could get the little guys in her mouth anyway, so I keep them now because I can readily identify MY dice after a game.

Our group tends to toss dice at each other, becasue we can't find that D20 we were using, or a D4, or any number of others.

When trying to roll large numbers of them, I agree. I only have 4 of each kind, so that is never a problem for me.

I have the worst luck with dice. No matter what dice we use, I will never roll high. In the last campaign we played, I rolled a natural twenty on an attack once. That was against a golem, so I never got to critical with that character. I once went a session where the highest I rolled was an eleven, and the average was around a six.

Unintentional, I assure you. I tend to type as I try to speak. Though I sometimes will start a sentence, decide halfway through it does not convey what I actually mean, pause, say a few more sylables of the first sentence, then begin speaking in a new sentence, which has all the same information the first one did, just to me, better organized.

I also speak in run on sentences more often than I would like.

The worst is in Risk when everybody is either rolling super high or super low. I once had a game where 3 6's was thrown three time in a row. It was countered by 2 6's, 1 6 and a five, and 2 more 6's.

I have thoroughly mediocre luck with dice. We played for months and I never rolled a twenty. Then, during the last session, when I wanted to roll low, I got two twenties. In the first case it meant that the insane cleric got lost in cave. The second caused him to fall off a cliff.

My luck with dice continues into risk too. I rarely play because it got so aggravating. I would often fight and lose three or four troops for every one I killed. It is really annoying playing people who obviously don't know what they're doing and losing anyways because you can't beat them in a fight, even with superior numbers.

I rolled abysmally today. We were playing the oots game, and I would generally work it so that I had to roll, say...a 2 or 3 or better (on a d12) in order to beat the monster. The number of 1 and 2s I rolled was just....uncanny. Like seriously 8 of them.

At one point, I knew I was rolling like this, so used a thing to let me roll twice, take the highest....I needed a 3. I rolled 2 2s.

I haven't seen any evidence of these supposed free smoothies, so I wouldn't quit my day job yet.

Sure they do! However, by definition, you're unlucky, so chances are they are either given to an imposter or have a light flavour of almonds, if ya get mah drift, wink wink.

And besides, have you EVER gone to the heavenly busoms of the Dice Gods? No? How do you know there AREN'T free smoothies then? Gotcha there, Mr. Skepticpants!

So quote it. I don't even care if you change the name to satisfy your need for having a quote that involves you in it.

As for the gaming, that's honestly a shame. I'd advise you to get a fix here, but, well, I applied 4 times and none of them have started.
