Somewhere in the future or past of OotS the memories of most OotS characters has been erased, Xykon however has remembered his quest for the gates and has recruited people for his pledge.
All roles (except Xykon) have both a good and evil side, if they are picked by Xykon they are the evil side, otherwise they are good.
Yik-Yik: Will be told he is Belkar, as such will think he's the Devil if he's evil, will get scry results as fool.
Thog will be told he's Roy, his protections are of no use whatsoever if he;s good.
Xykon: Alpha, will pick his allies after roles have been given.
Special: Some special roles will be included, these will only be explained to the one obtaining the role, the number of these depends on the number of players.
Items
There will be items in play, some of these will be given at the start, others will be planted in play, the details of these will be given to the one in possession of the item.

I'm looking for a co-narrator. Recruitment starts now, will end as soon as I've found an appropriate date to start the game.

What happens if Xykon picks Nale, Elan, Roy, and Thog?
There will be no special roles since all of those are just ordinary wolves when picked by Xykon, and all other roles are just villager unless picked by Xykon.
You could also end up with combos like devil and fool but no seer or demon which would give Xykon a huge advantage. If he picks Roy as well he's laughing. On the flip side you could end up with seer, baner, and demon but no devil and no fool in which case Xykon is shafted. Moreover the vilagers could know this easily because Belkar could announce his role thus proving there was no devil but at no cost to the village since he is only a normal villager. If the village doubted this they could lynch him to make sure that Xykon definitely didn't have a devil.

That's what makes this game such a gamble

I had realized this, this is where the secret roles come in.
Also, many items will be in place giving the user abilities similar to that of some roles, to lessen the element of chance a bit.
