Salmon, what did castaras do to you?(and it was dr. bath(the female) who turned you human.... ?)
*avidly awaits next comic*
The Salmon hit Castaras with a gender-changing potion.
In retaliation, "Cassius" turned the Salmon into the Almighty Bear.
In an attempt to fix this, an accident resulted in Dr. Bath splitting himself into an Evil Dr. Bath and a Chaotic Ms. Bath, while turning the Salmon-Bear into a Human.
And now the Hu-Salmon has a vendetta against me...
*preemptive stabbity*
I'm playing the Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest games again (hurray for emulators!), and it always kills me when the game goes, "You defeated the Giant Worm! The Giant Worm had a Treasure Chest! You find the Basic Clothes!" (or what ever).

Assuming he's out of spells and doesn't have a high Int
Hm? What do you mean? I was thinking that since magic missile shoots one missile plus one for every two caster levels beyond 1st, Korul would have to be lvl 3-4 so that the casting fits.
Curses, my invisibility spell seems to have failed...
Yes, I'd forgotten the exact events of the comic and thought you were referring to the number of magic missile spells he cast, rather than the quantity of missiles produced.
We can also assume that the warforged warrior/fighter/barbarian/whatever must have rolled pretty low on hp to be incinerated by a burning hands, since at level 3 or 4, the max damage of burning hands is 12 and 16 respectively. This means that, in order to die in a single hit, those npcs must have had 1-6 hp.
Sorry, but since the class-and-geekery-fu is taken up by more competent players in the OotS board, I'm trying to jump on this very fine strip. And yes, I realize that Undertaker's only experience with DnD is DDO, but that isn't an excuse for me not to overanalyze things.

Curse you kpenguin. Stop picking on my flaws!
Once again, I'll put it down to comic effect. And Korul was going to look pretty meagre compared to Delrek's kickass bard-tumbling halfling-kebab'ing fight scene. Plus I promised my friend I'd try get a Mortal Kombat reference in the strip.
P.S. My D&D knowledge has grown! I've gotten to know a lot more from Dungeons and dragons on my PSP. Now when I'm writing scripts I simulate the effects of spells and such.

He could of course merely be first level, for a group of two level 3-4 adventurers, four guys of first and second level with a third level leader would still be a decent challenge.
EDIT: I forgot to mention. This comic rawks. I'm hoping to start making one of my own when ever I get ahead enough in computers class.

Besides this, however, this comic makes mine look like second-rate garbage.
