I've said it before I'll say it many more times: If someone guesses what's going to happen next, I'm not going to change my story because of it. I've certainly spent too much time making the plot for it to be whitewashed by a lucky guess

And now for some inane fun:

By the time the group escapes the city, at least one of them will have been captured, killed, etc. See if you can guess which one(s) and how!

Flippin' sweet. Love this comic.

I can only assume that as Mr Lying's love interest (see page 8, last panel, Igon's expression), it is Rain's plot-given duty to be tortured and/or slaughtered in a most horrible fashion, while our hero is forced to watch.

And on that cheerful note, I can't wait for more!

I won't comment on their accuracy, but you're certainly disturbingly creative

Well... since using the death of a loved one as motivation for a character is one of the oldest (if undoubtedly effective) tricks in the writer's repetoire, technically I'm disturbingly uncreative.

Most fiction works that way. If you really need a character to go do something that they really don't have any motivation to do, you threaten a loved one. With torture and/or death in the case of a male loved one; rape, toture, and/or death for a female loved one.

I, however, hold out hope that you will not sink to using such tactics. Can't wait for more.

I guarantee, I will not be going the way of "Hold loved one X in bad situation Y to illicit response Z from hero A". I'm intending for this tale to use as few cliches as possible.

For example, let's look at Lex's recent betrayal.
Spoiler

So, Lex isn't your typical "Friend turned traitor" character. He really wants to be friends with the group, even though he had to use them to bring ruin to Arcania. He's not a full-blown traitor to the nation, because he's doing what he believes is the best option left to them, even though it results in their effective annihilation.

Don't worry, we can still hate his guts.

That's nice, but will we hate your's by the end of this? obviously the protaganist should be someone the audience identifies with? but how are you going to pull that off, What character dies, are you going to let them? who's going to kill lex? why am I asking so many inane unrelated questions?

Hmm, lets take a moment to check for plot holes.
Lex wants to save some scrap of his culture, so is his alliance with Sildyu a means of placing some of his culture into the moon elf empire or self preservation?

I'm hoping that's a short list, I'd hate to think the entire audience is from a civilisation erased from the annals of history and of which they are the near-sole survivor.

You'll just have to wait and see, but odds say more the former than the latter

Okay. While your answers were staisfactory and insightful, I believe I shall write [/joke] at the end of all posts meant in a mostly jokelike manner from now on.

Also is it sad of me that, despite an exam tomorrow of mythical proprtion (about 30 minutes) I'm more concered about returning home to see if Remember and Failing saves have updated

Okay, remember how I had to split page 10 into two pieces? Well, page 16 is shaping up to have 11 frames, so it's getting split up as well. I may or may not have both parts ready for Thursday, but page 17 will be released on schedule on Monday, after part 2 of page 16.

Update! Part 1 of Page 16 will definitely be ready by Thursday, and since I'm saying that on Tuesday, odds are good the whole thing will be done by then as well.

Update! I've managed to finish both parts! That means that both will be up, on Thursday, on time. I hope you can stand the suspense, because I certainly enjoyed writing every word of it

That's kinda ironic. I mean, him talking about winning. Well, awesome comic as usual. I'm not sure if I get the clothes... is that the alternate Lyingbedmon's thing, from Tajira?

Ins' disguise getup from Tajira is indeed the original Mask of Lies and Robe of Blending that Igon just took from Lex, yes.

I was bored and nothing was going on around here (As in my place of residence), so I decided to throw this little piece together

For reference, Grisgol are kinda like Ents. In the same way that a 3-day summit reaching a definite conclusion is fast for an Ent, reaching the same conclusion in 300 years is considered fast for a Grisgol. A popular saying is "By the time a Grisgol has made a decision, his chair has already moved to the door".

Dear gods...why wasnt I born a Half Grisgol? Oh, I know, because if my father was a Grisgol, it would have taken him 300 years to think about whether to wear a condom or not...

I imagine it would be pretty tricky too. A Grisgol is basically a construct powered by the phylactery of a Lich.
