Besides, "improved slay demigod"? this is ABR, you don't invent boring things here. Shatter world is interesting. Delayed blast hellball is interesting. "slay" spell? not really.
And non-cool spells in ABR auto-frizzle.
Therefor, by the laws of ABR, that action is not acceptable. do something more splashy or give it up.

First: Epic level wizard. That was a Gate opened to go to War's location. It can reach you on any planet or plane of existence.
Second: How else do you expect to kill a demigod?
Third: Clones are probably the most overused thing in ABR... ever. Don't talk to me about being original.
And, over riding all that, it's already non-canon. What are you going to do, make a vote for canoncy?

I don't remember that about the spell, but you're the expert on the subject. Assume that I plane-shifted to some sort of demiplane first.
