What style is your igloo, Kradman? I had a ranch style when I was living in Alaska. How many sled dogs do you own?

Well, I think Miko's right, but she's also a preachy bitch.
And for Roy to go Postal on her...well, I was glad he finally saw the light, even if he did have to temporarily say goodbye to Octagon, James Westfall, and Dr. Kenneth Noisewater.
Most surprisingly: Miko actually wouldn't mind entering into a relationship. Wowie.
Finally, Roy did what he should have done ages ago. I'm hoping they kill her - Belkar's plan from # 204 sounds good right now, and there's no rain! Belkar will help without provocation, and so will V, and I'm guessing Haley will once it gets started. Elan won't, unless Haley talks to him beforehand, and Durkon definitely won't. Roy might. It looks good for a Miko massacre! :D
If the party had not gone into the Inn, *and* pretended to be the King of Nowhere, then the assassins would have successfully killed their target.
Well, who cares about that? Nobody.
But more important...
If the party had not gone into the Inn, *and* pretended to to be the King of Nowhere, *and* fought the assassins, *and* were in the Inn when it was on fire and about to explode, *and* lose all their gold... then a well-designed and prepared adventure would have gone wasted, while the characters sit outside safe and secure.
To be an adventurer is to go where the adventure is, not to stay away and sleep safe and secure. Even if that particular safe and secure does happen to involve eating lichens for your meal and sleeping on sharp rocks.
Hooray for the Order of the Stick, willing to go forward to where the DM had prepared material for them!!!

Most people wouldn't know what makes a good game if it stripped naked, painted itself purple, and jumped up on a table singing "look what a good game I am!".
That was great, on Roy's part, though remember, he's still LG... he's still going to go with her to her Lord and see him about this gate thing, because that's what should be done... even if she is psycho.

She has no way of knowing that, since they're not telling her about Roy impersonating the King of Nowhere. She thinks they were deliberately going after Roy Greenhilt.

"The really unforgivable acts are committed by calm men in beautiful green silk rooms, who deal death wholesale, by the shipload, without lust, or anger, or desire, or any redeeming emotion to excuse them but cold fear of some pretended future. But the crimes they hope to prevent in the future are imaginary. The ones they commit in the present--they are real." --Aral Vorkosigan
No, I wouldn't think that he's a jerk, he's just seeing her without the veil of physical attraction. She was being completley disrespectful to Roy and the others and it was a necessity to take her down a peg or two.
Just who are the good guys in this comic? *I can only count Miko and Elan. *Everyone else is rude, greedy and self-centered.
I don't really see the problem.
They're rude because Miko is pushing them around and forcing her own ethics code upon them.
They're greedy because... well, who wouldn't be pissed if they'd lost a fortune?
And self-centered? Being a little self-centered is being human and since they usually try to help people out (like trying to get people out of the inn) I can't say that they are more self-centered then your avarage Joe. If anything, most of them are less self-centered.
Please note that none of the above applies to Belkar. But has a reason for being how he is. He's evil ;D
Actually, I'm wondering if this will not be the impetus for some self-reflection on the part of Miko. Always before, Roy was fairly firmly on her side... taking her part in saying "She's just rough around the edges, she's doing what's good and right, etc., etc.", even if we were seeing that his private dissatisfaction with her actions was growing.
Now, he's more or less come down with the majority, and he's been as blunt as she is: She's overbearing and uptight, and I don't think she's ever considered herself to be either before. If someone called her uptight, I think she would've claimed to have been "principled". Overbearing she would've dismissed as "determined". Here, she starts to reach out (clumsily, like a drunken prom date, but reaching out), and Roy basically says "Yes, you're attractive, but you have the personality of rancid cheese, and I don't want any part of that."
I have hopes for character growth from Miko. We've seen it, slowly, from Haley, and somewhat more pronouncedly from Roy, but Miko can actually significantly change, because she's not, yet, main cast.

I think Roy realized that his love for Miko is just horomones.
Good thing I'm not the only one who thought that. Roy got to "love" Miko from the first sight, and even when Elan asked him he made it clear it was mostly because of her looks ; but the guy is clever (he has an MBA you know!) and it was about time he remembered that it doesn't matter how beautiful a woman is if she is a bitch as a person. Thumbs up to him for finally making the right decision ; and for apologising despite his newfound scorn for her :D

I think you will realise that Miko isn't aware that Roy pretended to be a King in this ordeal ; if she did, she would probably charge him for breaking several laws at the same time ;)
