Re: Rebellion IV - Death of the Lich King (Night 4)
The dawn breaks and the people stir. There's a tension in the air. So far the rebels have skipped a night, killed, then skipped a night again. Will they have kept to their pattern? Will someone be missing this morning? There's only one way to find out.
The people gather for the roll call in the town square. A young man leaps up onto the fountain in the center of town and asks the question point blank.
Is anyone missing? Are all of your neighbors present?
Ummm, no sir, they're not. The voice was a sheepish one in the back.
Tell us, young one, who do you not see here?
It's the weird poet guy, sir. Dr. Bath. He's not here. He came by last night. We had a bunch of people over. We were talking about the goings on. He was asking a lot of questions and paying attention to a lot of talk. I think he got someone's attention though. Some guys I didn't recognize followed him out when he left.
The crowd seems to stop breathing, almost in unison, then they make their way to his home. Sure enough, there are signs of foul play. On the kitchen table is a still body with a knife sticking from its chest. The knife is pinning a piece of paper to the lifeless form. It reads...
Quote:
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Now look who's talking
It's certainly not you
Summary: Dr. Bath was killed by the Rebellion. He was The Gossip and was Loyal.
From atop the belltower the mis-shapen figure looks down on the town, which today seems to not know what to do with itself. Points are going in every direction. On a hunch - nothing he can prove specifically, evnafets points at Mustiado
I'll go with that for now. Why not? *points at Freshmeat_

((I'd like to remind you all that the the vastly different directions from which I've been pointed at [when including yesterday's voting] strongly hint that I'm not affiliated with the wolves.
I've also already been scried and contacted by the Royal Investigator. Since the RI has no fool counterpart, he knows that who he scries as a non-rebel is indeed what he appears to be (unless he just happened to scry the wolf alpha, but the gross lack of people willing to jump to my defense puts even that implausible a theory to doubt, no?). Since the RI should know the identity of several people by now, surely it would be quite easy for him to have a proxy come forward and dispute my claim?
Is this going to happen? No, it won't, because I'm telling the truth.
Most of the people who have pointed at me lately have also admitted to having no real basis to their points whatsoever, sometimes even openly claiming that their point was random, or that it was the basis of a coin flip.
The last couple of days have been fairly logical bandwagons (i.e. killing whoever is accused by someone who claims to be the seer, or killing whoever is overeager to kill that very same potential seer. The question is now - are we going to continue that trend and use a method that will eventually lead us to a rebel, or are we just going to resort to random pointing and get us another loyalist killed?))
((I'll believe Freshmeat for now. If any new information turns out we can always lynch him later. Shadow was somewhat fast to jump on this wagon, so I'm now pointing at him.))

"That Freshmeat_ seller has a good point, but I think that DLD had a better point, even though he changed it. I wonder why?"
There must be a good reason for DLD to changer her point. I mean why else would she do it otherwise. Might I remind you about the mistake everyone, including myself made about Pwenet because he was so adamant about pointing at DLD, who had actually told us she was the drunkard. I do not think that Freshmeat is a rebel, and to point at him would be quite foolish at this venture. My pick of zombie pixie might seem to be random, but it's not. He looked a little suspicious with virtually all his votes. He voted for the Llama the first day, who then turned out to be a noble (although I usually do discount the first day's vote). For some reason, he voted for Pwenet the day everyone ganged up on CKG, when there was no real reason to suspect him of anything yet. He then pointed at Freshmeat, when Pwenet's fate was sealed. Seems to me that he usually votes very late in the day, and whom he votes for usually turns out to be a noble of some import the next day when they are lynched.
Although Gwyn_ap_Nud seems a little suspicious to me at the moment. He pointed at someone the minute the day started, then switched his vote to Freshmeat after the bandwagon against him had gotten rolling a little.

I followed because I haven't been keeping a record of this game.
I haven't been keeping a record of this game because I've been expecting to die ever since night 2 or 3.
I've been expecting to die since then because a) that's the norm, so I never start a sheet until then -and- b) I was actually targeted by the rebels one night, but they changed at the last moment. I've been waiting until they do it again.

That's interesting, since I followed you! You were even faster to join that bandwagon! *changes point to Mordokai

(I'm going to extend the game day for another 24 hours. Because of the move, I don't have reliable access to the internet right now and I'm not willing to end the day early because of it. I'll update when I get a chance at work tomorrow night. Thanks for your patience.)
