Re: Arena Tournament, Round 30: Psychodelia vs Taleron
Okay, time to finish this
Immediate action to soak all the damage dealt
I then use a move to reach you. You’re entitled to a AoO when I leave your threathened area, but not when enter your square since you have no close combat weapons deployed (cant use unarmed strike for AoO’s).
During move I drop my guisarme as a free action in V14
I then initiate a grapple so touch attack: (1d20+7)[17]
Opposed grapple: (1d20+7)[10]
If it’s a success, I may deal (1d2+3)[4] damage (I would normally deal 1d4+6, but water halves it)

sorry about that, the forum engine is getting over clogged again. To bad though, these scores were a lot more favourable

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 30: Psychodelia vs Taleron
Taleron will drop his guisarm as a free action, then draw his flail and attack using his wolf fang strike. He'll weild the flail with both hands for the first attack and then use his armor spikes with his off hand for the other attack.
attack - (1d20+7)[11] dmage - (1d8+9)[12]
attack - (1d20+7)[15] damage - (1d6+3)[5]
Edit: I seem to have angered the dice myself. Sheesh. We both have massive attack bonuses but can't his a barn.
Re: Arena Tournament, Round 30: Psychodelia vs Taleron
move to P19, jump check to N20 (1d20+10)[26] vs DC 20
lets see if I make it first
that looks like a successful jump to me. Activate expansion power for 1pp
end of turn, I'm a giant again standing in L19-N20
stats
Spoiler
AC 20
PP 8
HP 8
Saves 2/3/2
effects: animal affiliation (+4 strength) 14/30
metaphysical weapon (spiked gauntlet) 3/10
force screen 2/10
expansion 1/2
location: L19-N20
edit: I just looked up your file and OMFG... You just took beastland ferocity, didn't you? if I hit you, you just get extra strong and have another 10hp to keep you standing... Until your timer runs out. A gamble, but an admirable one.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 30: Psychodelia vs Taleron
Wait a sec. Didn't you say pierce was excepted? Well the spiked gauntlet is a piercing weapon, so it doesn't get the penalty which means I most certainly did hit you! And for a wooping 8 points! I don't know by head at what that leaves you, but it can't be fancy. Also, while the beastland ferocity allows you to continue fighting without penalty, it doesn't say it stops the bleeding. So not only did I hit you, you also are now bleeding to death.
On the bright sight though, this does mean the damage you dealt wasn't 10 points but 12 thanks to your increased strength...
... which I soak for 3pp :P
And I'ld like to make an opposed grapple check to see if I can put you out of your missery
(1d20+7)[14] opposed grapple check (1d4+7)[10] damage if I win the grapple check

ah, sorry, didn't see you already posted, first one hits me which I soak, second is a wild swing.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 30: Psychodelia vs Taleron
Yep, I guess that's it. I think I relied to heavily on my one shot win technique (if the saphire mind had connected you would be flat footed, thus unable to soak the damage.) Unfortunatly I missed on both, so I was ill prepared to slug it out (forgot to buy my quickdamages). I think the only reason this match lasted this long was due to horredous rolling on both parts. Ah well, gg.
Re: Arena Tournament, Round 30: Psychodelia vs Taleron
Just one little question out of curiosity. Where is it stated you can't take an immediate action while flat-footed? I can imagine running into this more often (invisible opponents for example) so I'ld like to know for future fights
